Flashback to the 1990's and US Videotel
« on: April 25, 2018, 11:22:41 PM »
I remember communicating with my all-in-one terminal/keyboard/modem. The US Videotel. You opened it up and the monochrome 9" monitor was there and the keyboard just folded down (no mouse). I got it at a kiosk at the Mall in the early 90's. Maybe $75.

There were message boards, and there were chat rooms (and *private* chat rooms !!!)

I know they were huge in France (at least their version of it) up until about the mid 90s. Apparently, almost everyone there had one of these terminals you would use to log onto a mainframe.
