Hagar needs to do a toothpaste commercial.  His teeth are perfect.

LETS GO!!!

Troy Bond

This is my favorite song of the Red Rocker.

I wasn't as much of a fan until after I actually ran into Sammy Hagar at a gas station in my home town.
I didn't want to bother him, so I said, man you look just like Sammy Hagar. He smiled real big, & said " thank you, that's a nice compliment." Then we talked for at least 10 minutes. He told me about how he got the name Red Rocker, & we talked about Saint Louis, & his restaurant in St. Louis. All in all, the man is an outstanding individual. He's good people, very positive type of personality. I told him I hope I'm no bother for wanting to talk to him, & he just shook my hand, & said it's ok. He was just friendly, sociable, very positive, so we continued to chat after I said I didn't mean to interfere in any way. He just explained how he got the name Red Rocker in St Louis, while we talked about St. Louis. So after chatting with him that day,  I became more of a fan.

I hope I get to meet the Sammy Hagar again someday.
He's a very interesting man to listen to in conversations.

We now believe a German stole your Polish and put his sausage in her. It's a mindbender, but we'll get it sorted out.  :D

UPDATE: I found the Sammy Hagar Alien story. He says they came into his brain and turned him from a boxer to a rocker! No shit! I will not spoil it more than that. MV will bring us further details when he interviews him.

SAMUEL means "Asked of God" & "The Judge." This is why Aliens melted his boxer brain in 1967 and re-forged him as The Red Rocker. He was part of The Phoenix Program, and employed here in the United States of America to resist the Commie scum that had infiltrated our great nation. 50 years later he is STILL crushing failure and depression with his music, tequila, and jolly jelly-belly on every beach in the Northern Hemisphere!

I posted in the "Lets write a novel one post at a time" thread but I couldn't be arsed to read the rules first so that shit is history! I'll post it here instead. :)

JUST THEN, old-school 1985 style, long-haired, bearded, blue-jean wearing DELTA FORCE guys charged in from out of nowhere, lashed to the side of a Defender 500 helicopter. The little bird buzsawed in low and fast, then pivoted skyward until obscured by low hanging cumulonimbus clouds. Several seconds passed, and then from out of the sun--fish-tailing wildly like a retarded Scirocco--it dove at Matts ugly God damn face! The choppa' pulled up at the very last second and flared hard! Just short of smashing into the walls of Matts' tiny abode, it scraped Terra firma and short-skidded mirthfully to an abrupt stop! Small but powerful loud speakers mounted to its' tether-bars blasted Van Halens' 5150, and Sammy Hagar was riding shot-gun; a Cheshire grin peeked out beneath the Red Rockers shock of ginger curls as they flapped out of control across his eyebrows!

It was obvious that it was showtime, and not one more moment could be spared for his irritating bouts of mental masturbation! Matt became fully erect, and grabbed his Marlin 30-30 with the Texan stock from above the fireplace, a pocket full of cartridges, and 7 rubbers from the ash-tray! He then bolted toward the chopper at breakneck speed! "ROCK ON!" Sammy Hagar screamed, as Matt wedged himself between the back seats of the agile machine. Positive collective was wrung out as the RPM pushed into the red and oil pressure warning lights blinked rapid-fire. The Pilot cut an icy glance at his co-pilot--one full of pussiness and jealousy--but Sammy just snapped back "That's the way I like it!" The little bird rose and reversed, tucked into a snap-roll and was off-and-up-out! Like a spotted-assed ape racing across the African veld, it was out of sight within mere moments! Matt felt profound relief.

It was a depressing and boring story thread anyhow! :)

In 1984 Hagar was part of a collaboration HSAS.

Hagar Schon Aaronson Shrieve (also known as HSAS) was a band featuring lead vocalist Sammy Hagar, lead guitarist Neal Schon (Santana, Journey), bassist Kenny Aaronson (Billy Idol, Joan Jett), and drummer Michael Shrieve (Santana). The group reportedly rehearsed for less than a month before playing in concert. They released a semi-live album, recorded during two live performances at The Warfield in San Francisco, entitled Through the Fire.

It’s a good album. Last song: “My Home Town”, kicks ass.

‘91 when VH opened the MTV awards. I always felt like this was the last big hooraw of 80’s rock/metal whatever you wanna call it.  Grunge was soon to come on the scene, in which everything had to be pretentious and depressing to be taken serious. The Curt Loder leftwing MTV ate it up of course.

Funniest thing was Arsenio introduced them as “The greatest American rock and roll band ever”, and Steven Tyler had a fit after.

They were, and still are the best pure Hard Rock band that ever was!

So bizarre sometimes to me that Sammy is over 70 now. Hell of a guy, and a great rock n' roller!  The 70's sometimes still seem like last month.

I heard he was ticketed for doing 115mph on the way to Vegas. Back in the 80s hwy 15 was a wasteland much like what’s seen in Mad Max.

Used to go down that stretch quite a bit.  Our destination was usually the Owens Valley or Death Valley.  Get off the highway and onto a secondary road, it is very likely you won't encounter another car for a good long time.

I loved that part of the country and the fucking Democrats have ruined it.

Yeah, that's the story he told for years, but the new one is probably the truth. In the music biz, almost all the things people think are profound are usually the result of much more mundane motivations. However, it's the entertainment industry and people expect a good story so most musicians fabricate one. I don't know how many times I've heard a story about a band name that was a true tall tale, when the truth was the band named themselves after something laying around the practice room because they needed a name and "that's good enough! we'll make up some cool story about it later."

It’s a great area. Just don’t go midday in summer. I love the drive to Vegas from LA if you time your trip around sunset. ZZYZX rd. Baker. The whole Mohave National Preserve area. Kelso and the Kelso Dunes. Very cool place. And Death Valley is pretty amazing. Actually love the 395 drive too. That whole area is spooky. You can see why they have all the test sites out there. It’s endless.
