When I was around 15 my brother gave me his old turntable and a few LPs. Opened up a whole new world for me. I started scrounging around swap meets, garage sales, etc. When I saw this topic these are the first three that came to mind. I played all three of these endlessly

I have a hard time with Presence.  I want to like it but the melodies just aren't there for me. I lose interest after half the album. I'll give it another try sometime soon.  I do agree with you when it comes to the rest of their work.

I'll agree that it's probably their weakest but even it has killer tracks on it like Achilles Last Stand and Nobody's Fault But Mine.

Cream rocks. Clapton has not been nearly as good since he left that band.  OK. Check that. Derek and The Dominoes was damn good but Clapton mellowed out too much after that. I have those two albums.  I like Neil Young but Decade covers the 70's good enough for me. I used to make fun of Clapton's cover of I Shot The Sheriff.

I'd sing... I shot Eric but I did not shoot the rest of Cream.

I literally wore out that Cream album. Of the three that's my number one. Layla was my heartbreak album that's second. And loved Crazy Horse's sound and especially loved Cinnamon Girl, of course

So that is YOU! I finally figured it out and got you scoped. My former (great guy) neighbor who would ALWAYS put his on after a late night BBQ/Crawfish Boil or just blow shit up 4th of July in the neighborhood. And would get deep into weeds, encouraged by the other fews still up after party shutdown, and women and children fled, and considerations of cleaning up now and "turn it up" or wait for tomorrow and, maybe, rain will help wash away, happen. And Uriah Heep is better than Jethro Tull. Arguments would ensue. Often "solved" by greater minds and blast Megadeth.

Yeah, Cinnamon Girl rocks and there are one or two others off that album that are great too.  First album that I ever bought from Neil Young was this oddball 50's retro album, Everybody's Rockin'.  I'm a big fan of that era of rock.  The album is not on youtube but several songs are and I remember this video.

No way, sir! No way! Heep had a few good songs but Tull had a bunch of great albums.

My brother used to play the shit out of this album.    King Crimson In The Court of The Crimson King.  Here's the song.

I'll just say this.  I have several Jethro Tull albums but no Uriah Heep albums.

OK.  The first cut off this album is my favorite live track by anybody period.  The rest of the album is great too though.

I've got an idea for a new music thread but I'll save it 'til this one dies down.

Geez, to use a Norry, that was weird that we both posted these bands?

LOL. You did?  I missed that.  I still get shivers when I hear that live version of Conquistador.

I didn't used to like Nirvana back when they were still a band.  That changed and I now have all their records.  They and other grunge bands were still ripping off Floyd though.

Great album.  I got into Rush around 1982.  All of their albums up to Grace Under Pressure are fantastic though like you my favorite is probably Farewell.  Love their interpretation of Coleridge with Xanadu(not to be confused with the ELO song which is completely different but great in its own right).

I'm going to call it a night.  Great company and I sure prefer this to the political threads.  Thanks again to ponyboysunset who is proving to be a lifesaver on this forum.  G'night all.

You probably are proud of your Abba albums too.

Was never much of a Who fan, until I went to one of the Warren Haynes's Halloween shows and they played this album.  I'd somehow never seen the Who and was shocked how good the material is live.

It's probably the most complete album of theirs that I like (but I'm not a fan of Cygnus X-1) apart from Moving Pictures, but I have a playlist of songs of theirs that I particularly like which I think has entries from most albums. Saw them live in 2015 in Boston which gave me a bit of a better appreciation of songs from albums I hadn't really listened to (later ones).

You know things are getting serious at a concert when the double neck guitars come out  ;)

Thanks. I do what I can, which isn't much these days. But I smile when I see posters I haven't seen in awhile post in the music threads. I would love to be able to start a real conspiracy conversation here but the trolls would take over anyway. So for now more music and fun related things.
