The odds would say a bird.  The Cape is filled with tons of wildlife, including the winged-type.

The Canaveral seashore is part of the National Park Service and Merritt Island is a National Wildlife Reserve.

They have pelicans in that part of the world as big as Buicks.  I watched one group of them defecate just off shore from probably fifty feet, the water impacts looked like a scene from "Tora, Tora, Tora".

It's interesting to watch them flying in formation.  Pretty impressive.

A Buick Skylark perhaps?

I use to drive one of those. It was a '66 and had a 351 Wildcat engine. Loved that thing!

Very impressive watching them fly in ground effect that close to the water.  I wonder if any pelicans just joining OTUs ever clip the water with a wingtip and wind up doing a ground loop into the drink?

On a more serious note, the first B-1B we lost (88-89?) struck a 20+ pound pelican during a low level, high speed training mission on a bomb range in one of the Western states.  The bird actually punctured the leading edge of the wing, ruputuring both fuel and hydraulic lines that resulted in a fast spreading fire.  Three fatalities.

Musk said they haven't ruled out a UFO hitting the rocket..and of course MITD.com states it out of context lol

Great now we know what hoagie will be fixated on tomorrow night, wonder if he will link it with Hilary fainting. " The good are getting gooder, the bad are getting badder".

For a good while now I've been saying that I want to see Elon's horoscope. There's got to be a lot of fire signs and aspects in his chart. If I had money to put in the stock market, it would never be in any of his companies. Between SpaceEx and Tesla, all his stuff is always blowing up and catching on fire. Cool stuff but like hypersensitive traveling bombs.

At first, I was very concerned because we have a launch going off very soon and feared it was another SpaceEx disaster. They just finished rebuilding the launch pad from the last time they blew that thing up.
You must be talking about Wallops, as Space Exploration has never had a RUD at LC40 before.

I worked with a company in the UK that refused to use the term "failure" in its test reports.  They had either "success", "limited success", or "no test".  When they declared a "limited success", there was always an "anomaly review/discussion" portion of the report.  They apparently didn't believe me when I told them any report claiming a "limited success" would be returned unread and count as a "noncompliant" data item submission.  After they got the contract letter informing them this would impact progress payments, things changed.

With that way of looking at things, they could always move to North Korea. NK operates the same way with its missile program. AKA "Whoops, we meant to do that."
