How can Hoagland not be sure they are condos rather than apartments?  8)

When I gazed up in the direction of Mars in serious introspection and after downing three strawberry martinis, I could have sworn I saw an abandoned hospital and a colony of mud huts.  A few looked to be inhabited, and I sensed that they had colonized Earth and thrive to this day.  Maybe this was the same community they were speaking of?  I will have to listen to the show.

There is now a market for freeze dried storable twinkies and ding-dongs.

What about the Ho-Ho's?  Are they still available for purchase, and are they still on the grocers' shelf?  Time to mystery shop.

Good point. Which brings up another: what exactly did he sell them? No pre-93 shows have ever been heard, IIRC. In fact, I don't recall hearing too many shows from before 1998 or so, but that might be my ears and/or a purely programming decision.

I am sure it was a purely programminng decision.  For sakes, with Y2K looming on the immediate time horizon and inevitable doom, why would you want to waste your cassette taping  a show on the versacorder?

Not meaning to slight Art on his thread, but I have an idea for better teacher in the cities.  These could be "specialists."  I am sure that you are aware of the massive student loan debt.  One of the way to have the debt excused would be to commit to teaching the subject that you graduated or studied in at these schools, if it would apply to the cirriculum.  For example, a math major would teach math, and an english graduate could teach english classes.  For the half years that you would teach, x amount of Federal student loan debt would be excused.  The teacher would get the teacher's salary, but it would put new blood into the teaching system.  Also, they might feel more committed to the teaching function.  There could be an online boot camp for teachers or some conference they would attend to get some skills they might not have learned in their college courses.  Again, for doing this, x amount of student loan debt would be extinguished.

We need to be creative with our solutions.  There is a wealth of resources in this nation to solve our domestic probems.  We just don't try new approaches.  I just thought of this as I read Sardoni's post.  The problem is that in some situations small minds do not think.  I don't mean that as an insult to anyone.  I only mean that people are just so insecure and guard their turf, that they are not open to new ideas and let them crystalize.  It is such a shame.  That is all for now.

Another observation is that liberals are neat and orderly, observe the above list.

On another note, conservatives are in the third dimension, liberals are moving into the fifth dimension as we approach December 21, 2012.  It remains to be seen as we move towards that date what will happen to Rush and fellow associates if they do not transcend bitterness at their loss recently.  As we move towards the fifth dimension conservatives and liberals move towards one, and we will have a new talk radio Libervative.  All you have to do to hear it is subscribe at the price of $9.99, per month.  The first thirty days are free.

Those folks are not true friends.  Romney and Bain Capitol own Clear Channel, who doth have a division of their syndication arm named Premiere, that doth begets a show entitled "Coast to Coast AM."  Coincidence or noth?

Steve Quayle is going to be nuts. Can't wait. He is so loony. Grab a bottle of your favorite liquor and drink every time he takes a breath. Your liquor will still be there by the end of the show.

As for Wells, he is hosting 4 hours of open lines on Friday. The Coast to Coast website says "unscreened calls" .. I assume that means the call screener will still answer but not tell Wells the topic? Or are we going old school Bell ???

How reckless, "unscreened open lines.", and for four hours!

Maybe being a cop should be like national service...

btw whatever happened to the greatness of george noory?

As sure as waves crash along the Eastern Coast,
Like the beckoning flicker in the misty night,
He is of great stature welcoming the award winning host,
His greatness illuminates like a beacon to the ships a a sea, a welcoming sight.

Highmick Maneuver.

Regardless of whoever you may be the name, Highmick Maneuver, just spawned ideas of a new pilot of an L.A. Dectective who is not quite the detective.  His idea of martial arts or being romantic and social is to accost someone in that manner, thus he earns the name "Highmick Maneuver".  It could be a comedy or a drama with comedy edges.  His romantic interest is a prostitute turned bellydance, whose definitition of belly rolls could be defined as a dance movement using the upper and lower stomach abs, or how many hang down over her scarf that jingles with handcrafted Pabst beer tabs (or someother obscure refreshing adult beverage.)

Yes, always the inspiration, and good for a laugh or two on the cynical side.   Welcome home!!

Here's the facts:

50% have declared Obama the winner.

The Romney 47% of the undecided have now decided to vote Obama.

3% have declared Romney, that segment consists of Romney and all of his yet unintroduced, wives, women and children in the Utah community of Romania.

If this makes you will bad, cheer up.  You can watch on all of the networks tomorrow a noon photo op set-up in Detroit where Romney will adorn a Pasta Man apron and serve beans and franks to all of the autoworkers.  It will only last ten minutes, but you may watch it tomorrow night on the You-Tube video archive.

I have not been listening to Ian because I am usually doing Noory recovery, listening to the bits of last week's show endings I could not stay up late to hear.  I was really going to listen to Ian tonight.  I went to the website and it says due to technical difficulties the show has been postponed.

Are you serious?  Has there been some sort of auto accident involving staff of the show?

General, I have read your post for sometime and you have always been above board.  Obviously, if you did not feel something and have some conflict, you would not be posting about it on a forum.

It is a personal decision that you must make.  In the final analysis, what I might recommend is think about it overnight.  If you are inclined to send a note with a kind message of recovery, then do so.  It costs nothing, but it could make you as well as her have better emotions between each other.

Now, you posted on a Coast forum.  You know what the ideal answer is don't you?  If you are a real trooper, you will immediately send Coast an e-mail to add her to their Friday night prayer list.  And, if you send the short note, or card, don't forget to recommend tumeric.

He could also damn her to a life in hell ya never know... all this sensitive cat lady crap could fly right out the window when he's pulling out your "gimp" suit.

I should have qualified my observations.  I think some comments referenced this, he would be a good manfriend, as in e-mail buddy or platonic encounter, to have, perhaps.  Those thoughts are not my thoughts at all as you state above.

Let's examine this situation.

Bill seems like a nut to us, and clearly he couldn't find True Love on whatever site he used, but he did make a friend of the 42-year old gal to whom he sent a, what, CC Crane radio or whatever for her birthday. Clearly he thinks a great deal of his pen pal, and accepts that she can't be "his". Very few people would send a gift to someone with whom there's no final compensation other than friendship.

While his Cat Lady lifestyle may seem a bit pathetic, the truth is that this guy embraces science and astronomy (amateur astronomy) and atheism. He demonstrates the capacity to love by caring very much about his cats. He cares about music, movies, politics and radio. He has interests in life.

He also has some form of self-confidence to be able to post that photo.

All in all, he's got a life and he does contribute in some way to society. Witness the fact that we're all talking about him. His life has meaning.

And maybe that's as good as it gets.

Sigh!!  What a tribute!!!
It brought tears to my eyes and a smile to my face.

He is also a giver and bestoes quality gifts, no knock-offs for his friends.  I mean, a C. Crane radio, listening doesn't get any better than than.

The smile, he seems like a happy person, and he likes animals, especially cats.  How can a man with a cat named "Sweetie" not be special to someone somewhere?

He is diversified, and he is a communicator.  He'll make some women a very, very happy lady.

I just thought some female input would be interesting.

Where is the hope in all this change?

Aren't you hopeful that there will be change?  If you answer in the affirmative, then you have found the hope.  If you answer in the negative, then you are a statistic and need to listen to a Coast mental health show, or perhaps a member of the class that is a subject of this thread.

Surely Coastland is a big enough territory for two different styles.  We are richer for diversity in opinion and style.  Each host brings his or her strengths and interests to the mike.  Maybe the Coast audience should be given diversity training?

and that's all I have to say about that
I don't usually look to see who is on, but I did catch his name.  How can you miss a legend?

This is totally unrelated, but I found his name and profile on a dating website recently.  It was on OKCupid or something like that.  It looked authentic.

I'm taken, but any other female poster may be interested.  Can you imagine messing up that mane?

I have befriended Art and read the post.  I did not comment. .yet.  There is still speculation.

The strange thing is that there is a YouTube of someone who had a video blog, and that is a story on MSN.  He has some type of cancer and has been fighting it for ten years,  The YouTube was his goodbye to all of of his supporters.  I never, never watch these types of YouTubes, but for some reason. .pain. . I was drawn to it and watched it.

Then, immediately after I watched that I read the word or not about Art.  I noticed that if I posted it would go to his phone.   I don't know if that means anything.  I have only posted maybe once or twice on his account.

I also pause to think of people who have recovered from liver cancer via  a transplant or other treatment.  One person that comes to mind is Larry Hagman.  He was an onery cuss.  Art is not that pernicative, but he is Art and there is only one Art.  Mr. Hagman was recently filming on a remake of Dallas after having gotten a liver transplant, I believe.  There is hope likewise for Art.  I pray that he does not have cancer, but I would be doing everything in his earthly, heavenly, and paranormal power to get on a transplant list.  If he has it, there is hope.  If he does not then this is one hell of a ride he can hold onto.

Oh no! NOTHING IS WRONG with beer!  I love it.  Was even drinking it when I started this thread.  I just commented with the emphasis on food because I had a hunch the majority of the people here would list beer as one of their favorite "foods."  ;)

Beer is an excellent adult, of all ages, recreational beverage along, with rum, kahlula and wine.   Mascatos are my wine of choice right now.

I can relate to you.  My favorite cake (and this started as a kid) is the white cake with the white icing.  It's still my preference.

I do think you are getting the lard part of the icing confused with the filling in Oreo cookies.

Yum!  White cake with white icing is one of my favorites, too!  I love white wedding cakes and birthday cakes with frosted designs, lots of icing.  I also like red cake.

Coffee is a survival ration.

To compensate for the cake, I eat salads, all kinds.  Recently I crave watermelon and have been eating it.  It is very filling, and low on calories.

Any kind of cheese or cheese flavored food is a daily requirement, also.

This is the first time I have posted on this topic.

The thing today that has annoyed me:

Logging in and seeing many, many posts made on the Art Bell thread.  Getting all excited and clicking on the thread, and then discovering that it is not about updated Art Bell information at all.  It is about two different personalities dueling virtures at each other.

No updated Art Bell info. at all.   I sink into depression.
