Emotions are reality fool.

Only in the sense that hyper-emotional libs use them to alter and corrupt reality.

Quote
Next to no-one votes for a person because they believe everything,

Strawman much?

Quote
They vote for them because they have a primal connection.. It's called advertising. JFK nailed it and it's been used ever since both in the USA and abroad.

Wait...you actually believe that JFK was the genesis of political advertising?

Seriously?

"I like Ike."

"A chicken in every pot..."

etc.

Quote
I'm not saying it's a proper way of doing things, but that is the reality. Trump tapped into the under/unemployed blue collar/ food workers, white male. Bingo!
Quote

So did Bernie Sanders.

The DNC savaged him relentlessly and America saw their reactionary populism attacked and took the next train out of the swamp.

Cope.

Quote
Thing is, he's now abandoned that, it served its purpose. Ask soya farmers about Chinese tariffs on American soya beans.. And the volte face with this is telling..

He's abandoned nothing, as anyone who attends his speeches and ralleys can confirm.

What he has done is trigger every lib in this lifeboat and their lapdog media to infinity and beyond.

Your emotions rule you, almost all of you.

And they destroy you, and therefore (by consent) America too.

I pity you for your despicable narcissism.

Your southern state economies would collapse without Mexico.

Mexico isn't going anywhere and the present stream of illegals is from Central America.

They cost the US over 30 billion dollars annually in "remittances" which is currency that leaves our nation never to return.

https://tradingeconomics.com/mexico/remittances

http://www.pewglobal.org/interactives/remittance-map/

They also have decimated border state hospitals and spiked law enforcement costs.

What's needed is a return to permitted and monitored guest workers, call it Bracero Dos.

Those who would erase our borders will soon erase our nation.

Quote
Your entitled 'bubba class' doesn't know what work is ..... "let the Mexicans do it"

Americans may not like crop picking jobs but we also know that almost all of them, even soft fruit, can and will be mechanized quickly enough to render our "guest workers" needless.

McAuliffe helped a company called Loral Space get seats on official trade missions. He reportedly convinced the Clinton administration to overrule national security officials in order win approval for a Loral deal that gave Red China critical missile technology. Loral’s chief executive officer became the Democratic National Committee’s largest donor and McAuliffe became DNC chairman.

Yes, that is my point.  We should not be buying technological devices or components made in China, especially if they are used in our communications, critical infrastructure, or military. It was stupid to give them the technology, train their engineers at our universities, or mfg them there even if they are using our chips. They are an enemy, or at least potential enemy, now and/or in the future. There are other countries far friendlier to the USA that also has cheap, or now cheaper, labor if we must mfg overseas.

HUAWEI is on that has come under scrutiny as they provide airwave internet access through 4 G repeaters.

Given IBM sold their hardware business to Lenovo there are concerns there too that their machines are spyware reporting to Bejing.

Globalization has its pitfalls and tech is one of them.

It is like selling the Empire of Japan so much of the metal for which they built their ships and planes to attack us and our allies. Cheap plastic crap that might break, chemicals and medicine that might poison folks, is one thing but to rely on a foreign power for critical infrastructure, allowing so many of them to buy up our land and companies, to allow so many of their students to come over and learn skills and technology to go back and improve theirs is dumb.

Now that is sound historical context, thanks.

Trump said he would...

Oh wah!

Quote
He even said it was terrible that Medicare wouldn't negotiate down what they paid for drugs...Obviously forgetting.unaware that Medicare isn't allowed to negotiate prices, Congress made it illegal that they did. But obviously people are happy that they're being scanked by the pharma companies who in turn make the insurance companies charge higher premiums and hospitals charge the insurance companies because the drugs are too costly... Nothing to see.  ;)

http://time.com/5275168/trump-plan-lower-drug-prices/

Trump’s list of 50 proposals, dubbed American Patients First, includes:

— A potential requirement for drugmakers to disclose the cost of their medicines in television advertisements.

— Banning a pharmacist “gag rule,” which prevents druggists from telling customers when they can save money by paying cash instead of using their insurance.

— Speeding up the approval process for over-the-counter medications so people can buy more drugs without prescriptions.

— Reconsidering how Medicare pays for some high-priced drugs administered at doctors’ offices.

“Trump had a choice today: to seek disruptive fundamental reform or to embrace more incremental steps,” wrote Terry Haines, a financial analyst, in an investment note. “Trump chose the incremental over the disruptive.”

Some parts of the plan were previously proposed in the president’s budget proposal sent to Congress, including providing free generic drugs to low-income seniors and sharing rebates from drugmakers with Medicare patients. Other parts could be implemented directly by the administration.

Quote
Trump:  “the drug lobby is making an absolute fortune at the expense of American consumers.” True, they are

“the most sweeping action in history to lower the costs of prescription drugs for the American people,”  Erm, no.

Oh?

So whose plan or action was more sweeping, do illumine us, pud.

These people specialize in combining separate issues when they think they can score political points, but are offended when anyone suggests there should be one set of rules that apply to everyone on any given issue - to those they support and to those they oppose.

The post came from a person who only supports the people who are forever raising taxes, so while his concern is touching, it's fake.

It's astounding to me the contortions, both moral and political, the left will go through to get what THEY want.

And...not that it matters much legally, only Heather is "in the desert" as Dave broadcasts from the Twin Cities.

This whole snaggle is reminiscent of the lawyering that went into "The Grand Tour" after the "Top Gear" hosts quit the BBC and revised their gig on Amazon.

I submit that Heather could retain plenty of Art's 'legacy by calling The program "Wanna Take A Ride with Heather Wade".
