Because you like older, sex-related jokes -

Do you know this one?

What is the Hawaiian cure for a Japanese disease?

Lakanookie is cured by Kamoneyewonalayah.

Sorry - couldn't make it Chinese.  ;D

but - the navigation sucks.

I'm never sure I've seen it all - and it takes longer to check.

Dunno about you - but whenever I log in lately - the number of "guests" seems to be larger than the last time.  This is a good thing.

Here I sit in an obscure little geek-lab that you have to know the secret handshake to get into (actually it's a key-code - but what the hell) SUPPOSED to be meeting a tutor for my programming class because my midterm is looming and I'm lost - And Fred & i are the only visable signs of biological life in the room.  it's too late to just go home, since i have a class in a little over an hour - and stupid me didn't' bring any homework other than what I need the no-show tutor for.

So, that means that without my homework, my software, or any other useful tool at hand - all I have to do is surf the web and bitch to all of you. My next class usues software - not a textbook.  it's not on this machine, so I can't even work ahead for that.  Explitive explitive EXPLITIVE.

Now, wasn't that a simply FASCINATING post?

I've heard a number of very sad women, with a few screws loose, in a lot of pain on c2c over the past few months.  At first, I just thought "Boy, George sure knows how to attract 'em"  - But now I think it's more that that.

Tommy triple screens, right?  These women SOUND at whit's end.  Sometimes they are obviously crying.  Sometimes they state clearly they are suicidal.  George always either promises to call them - or get someone to check on them - and hands them back to Tommy - AFTER he does his "I'm such a nice, reasonable guy" number and milks the call for all it's worth.   These calls always go on longer than any other non-guest call, and they never come through when it's almost time for a break.

If they get real help, fine. -- This last one insisted there are creatures living in her room, and that recently they held a funeral for her --  I don't doubt the women and their troubles are quite real.  I also don't doubt that George or Tommy could reach out to them without the grandstanding.

It's really creeping me out.

Steve Fossett Plane Found

And here's the dynamic duo:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j9gEzDYgaw8

However - though Fossett was in California, and not Nevada (Dames was right there) he was east of Yosemite, not north.

I'm not at all a fan of the Majorette - but what do yo all think of this one?

UPDATED TO SAY:  Ed and Snoory chatted onair lat night (just turned on the stream ) and Dames said that the discovery of the ID's and $$ had nothing to do with the crash.  Opps EDDIE!  Funny how they now found the plane not far from the IDs - eh?

I dozed off for a while.  I woke up at 1:45ish (eastern time) and Art was still on.  Now, I love Art - but with everything that's going on (Bailout etc . . .) I would much rather hear a 2008 Ian than a 1995 Art.

I'm using stream link, if that matters.  Ian isn't in his home studio (he was talking about not knowing how he was getting back to his car because he was escorted from his car down a tunnel that seemed to be being closed behind him) But when he did come on the air - it sounded like the show was already underway.  Jim Marrs was on, talking about the VERY subjects I had hoped to hear - the Treasury mess, the possibility of suspended elections and so on. But only the tag end came though and now they're on the the Hunt for Red October guy.

Who knows - technical difficulties maybe.  Guess I'll find out when I try the stream later. (maybe)

The Congressman mentioned in this vid is my congressman. (John Olver) I know him fairly well. He was my local state rep for many years. He's neither a reactionary nor a nut-job. Quite honestly, I tend to blow off political news of this type.  I'm not a fan of Chicken Little. This time, I'm not so sure.  And - at the risk of sounding uber paranoid, AGAIN, why didn't the first hour of Ian's show come though on StreamLink?

I just listened to the old George Lutz interviews from Ghostly Talk.  I've read some about this case (other than the book)  -

Granted, most of what is easily available is hype - but Lutz insists that much of it was essentially true

What do you all think?

BTW - I had heard a number of years ago that Lutz had admitted it was a hoax - on the GT interview - he says that was an internet rumor and never happened. In any case, he seemed like a sane, but odd man.  He complained a lot aobut the 2005 remake of the movie - and varius related lawsuits-  and lists some of the "untruths" in the newer film as "They show me making coffins for the kids" (pretty icky, partiucallry if untrue) and "they show my dog as a husky, when he was clearly a black lab" (WTF?  WHO CARES?!!)

Anyway - what do you guys think?  This is one of those legends that's never gonna die.

EDITED TO ADD:  While I'm being obsessive - i may as well ask if anyone knows where i can get an MP3 (or other media) of the interview Art Bell did with Lutz in, I think, 2002?

Georgie just gave a very long shout-out list to all the internet-based groups focused on him and on c2c to thank them for "Making Coast to Coast AM the highest-rated overnight talk show in the world."  He named names!  And, guess what?

He didn't mention us

Silly Snoory.

September 26, 2008, 01:42:27 AM
George just announced (without a lot of slur and mumble - but without a lot of specific info either.) that C2C is about to get a "long overdue" upgrade to their website.  They'll be asking people to look at the prototype, and give feedback before it goes officially live.

When?  WHEN?  ----

Oh!  And they are going to have a free ("absolutely free!") email newsletter for us to sign up for.  George says:

"We don't know how often it will come out.  It could be every day, or every week - but it will have a name and everything."

Gosh, impressive.

I know I'm opening up a can of worms here - being one of Ian's champions and all - but DAMN that man actually scared me this past weekend.

Now - I do know Ian said he was doing 4 shows in slightly over 24 hours: two c2cs - this one where he filled in for George on Friday - and his own on Saturday - his morning show, and a live (as in "visible") state fair show - lord knows that would make ME cranky. Then, a jerk caller called - but that's all he was, just a jerk caller.  He asked Ian if he (Ian) could feel the "collective wince" of his audience every time he used the phrase "where are you gonna take us?" during open lines.  Ian was obviously steamed, did explain his purpose in using that question, then very deftly ripped the guy a new one and went on to the next caller.

So far - no big deal, though I was a little startled by how angry he sounded.  (And no - not cuz he's a "church boy" and therefore not entitled to be angry - that's crap - I was startled cuz the caller seemed like a dim bulb and not worth the energy)

Then, it turned out when Ian came back to do his own show on Saturday, he was still steamed enough to make reference to that call and caller, and say he was still tying to shake it off.

Of course, you all know I NEVER loose it, not even when provoked and most especially not when feeling overwhelmed (she said, crossing her eyes to watch her nose grow) Ah well - maybe I'm just over identifying,   but, from where I sit - and given that this caller really didn't seem like the sharpest tool in the shed, I wanna say:

Ian!  DAMN!  Don't stoop to his level!

Besides - keep that up and you're gonna have a stroke.

Ha - easy to say when you're not the one being dissed - even if it is by someone who should be beneath your contempt.

Thank GAWD Ian did open lines Friday.  The guest was a clumsy a mush-mouth as Snores.  What a disaster that would have been.

Now - I admit that the guest Philip J. Berg  http://www.obamacrimes.com/ may have some interesting things to say. Right or wrong, his suit will have an impact on the upcoming elections. HOWEVER - this guest was a mess.  Marbles-in-mouth, ill-prepared, vague to the point of meaninglessness at times, and just as I was starting to think "holy crap - it's a George Clone" Ed, West of the Rockies, calls in and says exactly what was on my mind.  Ian seemed to agree.

Listen to a quick clip here:  https://www.yousendit.com/transfer.php?action=batch_download&send_id=599935895&email=c1f470b2b143c167178514bd8100fbcf

Like any quick clip - it's out on context - so not completely fair - still, DAMN!

I don't know if this will be as funny to all of you as it is to me - but in information design, which font to use in what context and why is always a big deal, and sometimes a heated debate.  This almost made me pee my pants.

BTW - it really is funny on a lot of levels.  Whoever did this is brilliant.

I'm off to a Brit Lit final - and this instructor is - errr - "quaint" shall we say.

A former actress - (and fairly young - I'd say in the 30's) she expects us to be able to recite (or in this case WRITE) chapte and verse.  She plas to hand us randome quotes - we have to say

WHO wrote it

Their ERA (Romantic, Victorian, Modernists etc . .) what their social context was and so on - and THEN analyze with a close reading.  The close reading part is no sweat.  The who and when, GOD HELP ME!

I'll be back when done.  I hope there is lots of distraction and humor here.  I'm gonna need it.

I also need to know THIS by heart - and don't  -----------

Auden's LULLABY Stanza 3 and 4

Certainty, fidelity

On the stroke of midnight pass

Like vibrations of a bell

And fashionable madmen raise

Their pedantic boring cry:

Every farthing of the cost,

All the dreaded cards foretell,

Shall be paid, but from this night

Not a whisper, not a thought,

Not a kiss nor look be lost.

Beauty, midnight, vision dies:

Let the winds of dawn that blow

Softly round your dreaming head

Such a day of welcome show

Eye and knocking heart may bless,

Find our mortal world enough;

Noons of dryness find you fed

By the involuntary powers,

Nights of insult let you pass

Watched by every human love.

AND I CHOSE it - ass that I am!

Just gonna have to punt.

Dixie Butcher is a major sweetie.  I'm so pleased to have her here.  I was 'splanin' "douche" to her as post-voting terminology. Dixie then posted that she was George - went on about it for a bit in fact (FUNNY!) but she was disappointed she could not douche herself (as George).  Soooooooooooooo - being the accommodating sort, I did it FOR her.

Her douche point has been removed.  Okay - fine.  She only GOT it cuz she LITERALLY asked for it anyway.  THAT is not the problem.  The PROBLEM is that coincidentally - MY douche points went up by 1 as hers was removed.

Coincidence?  I think not!

Perhaps I should have posted this under conspiracy theory.

grumble whine bitch kvetch moan.  It sucks to be so misunderstood.  ;:)    ;D

Now where the fuck is my tin-foil hat and my douche-proof armor?
