Have you checked out the Haiku thread?  You'd be good.

Agreed, Stephen Cohen was excellent. Just about everything Noory said or asked was cringe-worthy. Twice, before giving an answer, Cohen said something like "this is something I have studied for years" or "this is an area in which I have some expertise," and I think he just said that to discourage Noory from offering his inane comments afterwards.

I'm a bit surprised more haven't posted about that interview. Perhaps on the politics thread?  i don't dare stray too far from the refinement of this fine thread to find out

Stephen Cohen was an excellent guest. It would be great if Knapp could have him on for an entire show

I think George was attempting to woo L.A. Marzulli with Runaround Sue last night. The debauchery never ends!

Normally I do.  But I'm on my third gig in woman-dominant businesses (two out of the three are women owned), and very overwhelmed by the sheer unprofessionalism.  Two of the businesses had no males employees at all, and this one has no men on the front end!  And the employer before this one was also female dominant.  Awful watching women lead their male supervisor around by the nose.

i hear ya

The men vs women thing...  when? where??  Help me out!

I thought you were seeking a solution to your employment problem, and so I suggested that you focus on being open to all opportunity, whoever presents it, instead of being distracted by gender. That's all it was

I honestly think this has been my only rant against women.

I didn't mean to imply that I thought your post was a rant against women, or a rant against any sort, actually  :)

I agree.  Figured out I'd rather work for a man.  Saw that coming.  A lot of women just don't have professionalism nor objectivity in the workplace.  It's not their fault.  It has been done to them through gender roles and erosion of confidence.

hoping the best for you but why not just take the best opportunity and drop the whole men vs. women thing? it seems to be your favorite paradigm but perhaps its a bit of a hindrance. if I'm sticking my nose in where it isn't needed then please accept my apology

really? it has always worked before.  ;)

you really want to know what is stressing me out?

i won't tell details. i have GOBS of support. i will tell you that it's something really big. one of those things that is going to change me for the rest of my days. something, that for once, caught me completely unprepared. a stress from the changes and being unprepared.

i am very aware of what is happening to me and see it as a personal opportunity. a challenge. a test. a moment in time where i can actively change myself from deep inside. some karma time.  :)

everything that i am, both hidden and seen, visioned only by me, is wide open to me.... it's a thrill..... and it's formidable in nature. my emotional fuse box sparked briefly and then had a meltdown. i was aware of it the whole time. i still am. all of it. i'm a "just fly the damn airplane" kind of person. i don't give up. never have and it always comes with a price.

i've patched up the ol' fuse box. it's holding the load. now i just need a way to take some time to prepare for the experience ahead. that coming moment has one rule.... it will take how ever long it takes. so i really need the distraction of solitude. that solitude won't come again until i can see what comes out the other side of this experience.

being kidnapped is a start and you asked.

If she’s the one I’m thinking about, she has this saccharin syrupy cooing tone that makes my teeth hurt and think that she’s about to offer me a happy ending.
My guess is you are thinking of Lisa Garr

Pretty good open lines segment.  Cleopatra-reincarnated called and said she inherited Cleopatra's curse. When asked to elaborate she said her high school demanded she give back her homecoming queen crown(which she assumed she would be able to keep) The horror! Also the guy who advocates people blow pot smoke in their dogs face called.
I may have to start listening again

Elsburg and Noory are claiming that Hawaii and Japan had false alarms that could have resulted in a nuclear war. WRONG.

The public received false alarms through notification systems. The military detection systems were not involved.
Thank you for your well reasoned thought, GS. Of course the possibility of a SNAFU is obvious, but when lay people and charlatans, who clearly do not have any clear-headed insight into situations like this sensationalize them for entertainment or political cashe, it is far from constructive or informative. Misinformation and just straight up fear porn leads to cynicism...but who am I kidding, it's all fake anyway

Thanks, but Iaugh even LOUDER not when the charlatans with a "degree" from some online, correspondence, mail-order divinity school in UFOology or Chinese herbalism but when guests actually HAVE a legit degree in something but turn INTO a psychic researcher or animal communicator or whatever. I imagine Thanksgiving: "you got a law-dental-medical-insertwhatever- and now you are doing healing conferences at the former Red Lion hotel conference room about past lives??! With the money I paid and student loans!"
I like the way you think! I too can imagine such an awkward Thanksgiving dinner...oh to be a fly on the wall at one of those gatherings

I literally laughed out loud

Thanks

In rural areas like that the dates are meaningless because the same things are and have been going on for generations. Just like gathering farm fresh eggs. The egg doesn't know it's been hatched in 1745 or 1998.

..I'm starting to think you're not a real DR.

Agreed on all points.

My mom is in the later stages of her life and winding down at a rate that is beyond her years. She's is an old folks home on Vancouver Island, I wonder about moving her up here and into my airbnb but she is no longer to manage herself on her own. Dementia, and manic..  She's an angel, but a very difficult one. Yet she still manages to diligently catch every Vancouver Canucks game. hmm maybe she's faking it all ???
Obviously a question about your guitars. Enquiring minds want(ed) to know

Kudos to your mother for being a trooper and to you for being a good son/daughter/whatever you are. Aging ain't for sissies!

Last night’s show was so pitifully horrible. Where did these topics come from? I think the opioid fascination exists because he has a daughter or granddaughter that’s caught in that spiral.

The board game............ snooze fest.

The whole night was a snooze fest.
you think that, eh? what makes you assume anyone in norry's family has a previous or current addiction to meds? whether the "opioid crisis" is real or manufactured, it is CURRENT and large in the news. Knapp, Schrader, Trump, Democrats, Republicans, Libertarians, Fox, CNN, and adam's house cat are on this topic for some reason that obviously has nothing to do with George Norry.

Howard Bloom is no narcissistic and his droning, accented voice is grating. I'm not denying some of his achievements but I can't stand his voice. And Bloom comparing Michael Jackson to Jesus "he was hanging on a cross for 25 years?" And Bloom "failed to save Michael's soul?" WTF.
i thought that whole thing about michael jackson was odd, indeed...glad it wasn't just me

Only food grade diatomaceous eart fully diluted from time to time.  But there is a knack to it, and it is kind of hazardous if not diluted fully, or if the dust that is stirred up gets accidently inhaled.  Clay, huh.  Clay feels cool!
