Admittedly a personal problem. Too much reservation and cost/benefit analysis and "if it aint broke don't change it" "dance with the one that brought you" etc on my part.however there also is, sometimes, a person to say "no." Look before leaping or whatever sayings. Speed kills. Fun. But kills.
No, no, no....
Circumstances at speed kill. (Blowout, oncoming drunks using both lanes, critters jumping in your path, etc)
Shit happens fast at speed.
It's not a playground for the meek.
But, it is a useful skill, in an emergency.    ;)
And Hell yes, it's fun.      ;D

The latest update of Firefox though took off a lot of apps though. And interestingly ones that forced https, d/l of youtube vids, do not track, block ads or redirections, free VPN, etc.  Even add-ons from EFF. So? Idk. Fox got in the hen house? Aint nobody here but us chickens!
Yeah.  :(
I stopped updating to new versions of FFx when they went to the Australius interface (vers. 28 ?) Another thing they did just recently was to 404 the Old Versions of addons. The are no longer available from the Mozilla site. You have to find them elsewhere, and that's dodgey - you don't know if they've been messed with. (Does anyone besides me save copies of addons they've DLed ?)

The EFF addons don't work w/ my version of FFx (Privacy Badger is excellent), but I use only noscript and request policy, and they block drive-by DLs and most of the nasties that are out there. (I have other xpi's I wrote to handle the rest of the shit that tries to get in through the browser. (These are proprietary and I probably won't release them.))

But, NS & RP are pretty much all you need to keep yourself safe online - there is a learning curve though, as NS will break a lot of sites until you learn how to use it.
Web pages also load 10 - 70x faster with just these 2 addons (depending on your connection speed.)   ;)

I've never seen an episode of GOT.  I have no idea what it's even about.  When the series is entirely finished, I'll check it out.

I no longer am willing to be strung along season by season, episode by episode, waiting for these shows to squeeze out an episode.  It's excruciating.  I'm glad I'll get to binge watch this one (if I like it).

The Sopranos made people wait forever (up to two years?) for new seasons to air.  Better Call Saul is taking a similar approach.  Glad I got into The Sopranos after it was finished.  I made a mistake being impatient to see BCS.  Now I'm right there with all of the other rubes awaiting season 5.  I didn't follow my own rule with BCS.  Ugh.
Butters summarizes it pretty well.  (No spoilers)

I don't know how to spell conagens or conigens, and Google was no help, but domestic drinks in the US are full of them and yes, they do cause hangovers.  So, hard liquor or imports are an option.  But what is this one you say is potentially lethal more than others?  And good night.
For me to actually explain that ...  .
Look, have you ever been in a car that was fast enough to kill you, but not powerful or fast enough to scare you ?
We'll leave it at that.

Why the fuck are you using Google?
STARTPAGE or DUCKDUCKGO are 10,000 better.

Shit man,  wish I was putting down some shots.    ;)

Oh, and BTW - I don't hug the toilet. What I drink - on occasion that I do  -  has no additives that inspire hang-overs. It'll kill you though, if you over indulge.

If you are going to go lightweight, you might as well go full retard and get nanolinux or tinycore, both of which are Linux distros that feature GUI interfaces and clock in at about 16mb install size.

Command line only versions of Linux go all the way down to 2.8mb in size.
I've run them both.
Wait, wait....
A linux N00b will be totally lost, and I mean totally fucking lost with those distro's
(You forgot DSL too - in the same size range)
Yah, if you have an apple Lisa, or a commador II, you fuckin' A !  Run those distro's for the plain and simple fact that the CAS latency on the RAM in those systems is 2 - 3 !
Yeah, no shit  -  -    Fastest RAM that was ever made.
The problem with those linux distros, is that you'll need programming skills also - which newbies generally don't have.
Everyone nowadays wants "Plug-N-Play".  That's why I recommend VUU-Do.
The Distro's you mentioned are KICK-ASS if you have an ancient system (or even a new one and you know what the hell you're doing), and you can write BASIC, and know BASH. On a relatively new system - there is so much integration you have to write, you might as well sell the completed code as a new operating system.

No, you are exactly right - those are extremely light-weight OS's. But, you forgot the caveat that you need to know how to program - in fact , not just program high level and OOP, but at the assembler level (which runs sooooooo much faster - you're only one step away from binary).    ;)
Structured and functional programming are a totally different ball game.   ;)

Hey, thanks for the post, most peeps don't realize there are hobby operating systems out there that are designed for the average person to play with.  Funky and fun.    :)

I never "flashed" anything.  I was just being me.  Don't take this so personally, geez.  I wasn't describing YOU.  And I know that later when I approach 80, yes, then men will help again.  I lived with an 80-year old last year and when no one helped me and walked home and she drove back with me and people pulled over to help her because she is an old lady.  It was great.  We just wanted someone's bumper to push my bumper to get my car out of traffic.
I never said you were, and I didn't take it personally - I was being honest.
Apparently you don't understand metaphor.

Look, some of your questions remind me of a gov. plant running a psych exam. No one NO ONE is as naive as some of the questions you post are.
I have no problem helping people out, for free.
BUT, when I see I'm being taken advantage of, or played - the player can go straight to hell.

Good for Mr. Bojangles!  That's great, and that you fed him.  As far as male highway rescuers, I am disappointed.  Given the value system I was raised with, there is no way I ever saw their fickleness coming.  But to end this on a positive note, many older men still do try to help if they can.
How can you be so totally fucking naive. Seriously !
(Personally, to me, women aren't sexy until they hit 40, but I've  NEVER  been considered normal - and sure as fuck don't want to be - normal people are lame assed, fear-driven, sheep, as far as I'm concerned.)

Oh, and fear not, (apparently you're living in the wrong area), I've stopped plenty of times to assist people ranging from 20 - 86 years old, stranded, or even just changing a tire along side the road.

So, what you're really saying is that you've let yourself go, and you can't just flash your gams anymore to get some swingin' dick to pull over so you can manipulate them into helping you, with the promise of sex that you'll never deliver on ?

GET FUCKIN' REAL !

I recall a decade or so ago some malls in the UK were playing classical music in certain places to drive off undesirables and "youths."  Here some of our places play 'hawk sounds' to drive away the grackles (birds that mass up and crap everywhere.)
Well, they blasted 'Death Metal' at the Branch Davidians- 24 /7.     (I'd have been jammin.  :)  )
(Death Metal isn't bad, but it's not great, either)
Oh, and BTW, Grackles are useless leeches that I shoot on sight. (Yes, I always carry, as a matter of habit.)

I am seeing the same kinds of signs and getting the same kinds of feelings that I did right before the attacks of 9/11...….and they are mounting...…

Lisa and I had an identical dream the other night of a hydrogen bomb exploding above a city..our friend Paul saw the same thing..our other friend Julio keeps warning me but nobody else in our Circle..Tony and Leonardo also saw it..I am getting confirmation from multiple people at this point that I know..

If the EAS tones come on and you know for certain that it isn't a drill, and even more so if you know servicemen/women whose unit has been activated...….RUN!

I pray I'm wrong..but none of us were for 9/11..sooooo...….

What you just did by posting this is to put it in the consciousness of the www. The only way this can happen is if it it fed with fear.
STOP PUSHING FEAR ! ! ! !       THE MSM DOES THAT IN SPADES ! !

Just because you were warned about it, doesn't mean it will happen. To broadcast it and enter it in the public consciousness only creates a self-fulfilling  prophecy.
