In the late 70's, early 80's I used to work in a large warehouse that contained 25-50 kilo bales of various imported powders, grains and weird stuff from all over the world.
I called it the "Nut Palace"
One day a guy from Brazil stabbed "Black Wayne" [his preference], we had another Wayne, just saying.
The Brazil Nut, my name for him, ran and hid in a empty trailer in the lot. ::) while Black Wayne, wounded, came into the office screaming.
The owner looks up and says "get the fuck out, you're bleeding on the carpet.
The secretary freaks out and yells "do something, he's going to die,do something!
The boss says to me- "take care of this, I'm late for my anger management meeting" [messy divorce]

My boss who was also my friend and road dog in crazy times since the 60's passed away today.
Hadn't seen him in a few years. Thought of this and it made me smile.
Black Wayne survived with multiple facial scars.  Brazil Nut was arrested within minutes and extradited eventually.
This is all true and there is much much more but I'll have to check statute of limitations and all that.
Thanks for letting me post this.

Why don't you have an interior light in your car?
Roswells, Art, your mind works in a most wonderfully strange manner.
Don't change.

Falkie, bear with me as I'm rather unfamiliar with you and much here on BellGab.

Wondering if I understand this correctly, is it true that George Noory and you are friends?
He knows you from this forum? He has helped you out in the past?
That is pretty cool.
Maybe I'm just naive but perhaps Mr. Noory isn't such as bad a guy as I had thought.
Thanks George [Falkie] and carry on!

I'll be taking my leave from Bellgab for now.  Tomorrow morning at 6:00 am I report to my local medical center to begin addressing some medical issues.  I hope to return to Bellgab sometime in May or June.

Be Well!
Good luck and you too be well, asap.

Have a Sangean PR-D5. Great MW [am] reception and really good FM too. It's been flawless.
Sony 7600GR for SW along with Tecsun PL-310's, Couple of Grundig G8 Travellar II I got for $19.95. Great deal.
Many others but no CCranes.
I believe most CCrane's are rebadged  Sangean, Tecsun. or Redsun units built to CCrane specs.
QC can be hit or miss with all of these and staying up on the latest fixes/versions helps minimizes getting a lemon.

Thank you...you all are very helpful -- wondered about the Redacted - appreciate the clarification...ANOTHER Question: what's with the "Priase MV!"? -- trying to understand the idiosyncrasies of this group!
Mv is the genius who created BellGab and is deserving of mucho praise.

You're missing the point. That would've denied her the opportunity to feel superior to you, you pathetic creature. He just doesn't get it.  ::) :P
Along those same lines--is this.
People will not ask a question anymore-they will phrase a query in a declaratory manner.

Eg: You don't have Avocados" , " I don't see the Kale Salad"
"You must be out of Quinoa"
No questioning uplift tone.  People seem to think that if they have to ask for something it puts them in the submissive position or something.

Similar to "TheOne"'s Larger animal/smaller animal thing I guess. ???

Mv, I think Ginger Rat Snaps was referring to to Art there, but you know, if the shoe fits- :)

Last night I listened to the first show Art had after the test show.
The one with Graham Hancock.
It started with Art talking to Crystal Gale about the song she wrote [Midnight in the Desert] for him, and how she came out to his house
and had lunch etc.
Art sounded so upbeat and happy. He mentioned BellGab affectionately more than once too. He gave this site credit for helping bring him back on the air.
It was like a different person than the man Art is now.

I was startled at the comparison from that Art and the more recent Art that's on Facebook and some of his postings here.
Miss the "on air" Art.

I too, would be interested in a Podcast featuring PBS, IB, Chefist and SV.
In any combination or variation of the above.

That's a new one on me. I made some bread using sun-dried tomatoes the other day, but I hadn't thought of your little innovation. I guess those years spent sharing a cell with Jeffrey Dahmer proved to be of some use after all.
I was just thinking how good that Sourdough Bread looked too-then this. :o

when you listen to the dull, empty, soulless bass work on this cover, mccartney's capabilities as a bass player become even more evident.  he's so underrated as a bassist.  it's not just about playing the right notes at the right time.  there's something more.  some have it, some don't.
Agree. McCartney's bass playing was fantastic. Always overshadowed by his songwriting/cute Beatle thing.
I'm glad someone mentioned it.
ps, The Who's bass player great too.

Well done show Mr. Falkie.
I thought the show was over after the first hour. :(
I dl it though.
Thanks!
#202
Whew. I'm spent!
That was strangely interesting.
I couldn't hear Kathy on the phone and know nothing of their relationship.

Falkie could be a great sidekick/co-host at minimum, or with a plan, topics, guests, have his own show imo.

I'm annoyed by advertisements for serious medical conditions that use " actor portrayed "  posers.
Like the two sisters, one with cancer ?, looking all dazed and spaced out. Then you see the same people in
a different ad for car insurance or whatever. It doesn't seem fair to the people who really have problems.
That, plus all the disclaimers for the so called remedies.

How odd that some ONE with that much "talent" would waste so much time and effort
on a web site dedicated to nevermind.
