You may be on to something.  I believe Tom Danheiser is whispering material into his ear while Lisa Lyons is fallating him.

Or the other way around.  I don't think Tubheiser can read either.

More and more, Snoory is ditching his guests after an hour or two because it's obvious he has nothing to ask or say to them. It's clear this is because he has a set of questions, probably on 3X5 cards that he now blazes through in under an hour because he has become so lazy and disinterested in doing his job or bothering to create an entertaining program. He uses these same questions for every guest. I thought we could use this thread to compile a list of his favorite questions he asks every guest. I'll start.

"How are you?"

"How long have you been interested in this subject?"

"What's your website?"

"Where can we get your book?"

"People are really interested in this stuff, aren't they?"

"What is going on out there?"

Whut's nexcht for yuh?

It's been awhile since yew were last on, whut have yew been up to?

Whut gotyuh innerested in (fill in the blank)?

Areyuh ready tuh take some calls?

Noory did it again tonight - cutting a guest short and going to open lines.
Tonight he cut main guest John Michael Greer down to two hours and went to a final hour with open lines and 'miracle' stories...
I notice Noory tends to do this with guests who end up professing a belief opposite of that of Noory's main ideas.
Tonight's guest confessed he believes in peak oil, totally opposite of Noory's wacko abiotic oil theory. So soon after the guest commented on that Noory went to callers an hour early, a coincidence?

I never really noticed, but how often do George Knapp and Ian Punnett cut guests loose early?  Or Art Bell?

Noory's bloated staff is supposed to be doing show prep, including speaking with the guest ahead of time to deternime the show premise and topics, and whether the guest is right for the program and can interesting on the radio in general.  Then to prepare a few questions to get things started or for when a certain topic is exhausted.  The guest usually suggests a few questions as well.

There shouldn't be this constant miscommunication about how long a guest is going to be on, but George either breezes through his cue cards then runs out utterly refusing to have a real conversation, or gets bored, or doesn't want his pet theories to be contradicted.

To me, this amount of guest dumping is just another example of the complete failure of George Noory.

And by the way, does he still insist that he's just the host, the one bringing different view points to the show, just looking for thuh trooth, and that we don't know what he really thinks about any of this?  Really George?

... Her discussion of von Däniken's latest book was also of interest; von Däniken declined to take part, possibly because at age 78 he doesn't wish to pass his remaining hours in the company of the Snooron...

Does a mention of von Daniken still prompt George to start talking about how he 'devoured' Chariot's of the Gods as a child - years before the book came out in 1968?

Interesting that he 'devoured' that one, then apparently never read another, certainly none von Daniken has written since George has been hosting.

I think paranoia is an act with Alex Jones, but Noory's entire life is truly fear based:  clowns, poison in food, fluoride in water, vaccines, the Illuminati, callers who don't agree with him, traditional medicine and doctors, etc.  The guy is truly spineless and scared of his own shadow.  Maybe his shadow was the shadow rat he once saw.

George talking about wantin' tuh broadcast thuh end of the world.  He'd be the first one to shit his pants and take off.

... Noory (interjecting, again, with a disappointed tone): Uh, why can't you throw AIDs in there?...

I wonder what Detroit Free Press editor and Noory fan John Smyntek thought of that one.

That was George, determined to get an answer to the next question on his stack of cue cards.  Lisa must be on him again to stick to the script - when he goes off on his own, that's when we find out he doesn't know common expressions like what a 'loaded question' is, or what 'to coin a phrase' means.

....you know... I can't imagine Punnett/Knapp/Bell/EVEN WELLS! leaving for a bomb scare. Or they would have set something up to broadcast via phone and cover the bomb scare... just saying.

George has stated at various times that he won't eat food delivered to the studio because 'who knows what someone would put in it', tell people what kind of car he was driving 'for security purposes', even once said something about not revealing what restaurants he went to - he was worried about throngs of people flocking to them.

He ducks out for a 'bomb scare', but says he wants to broadcast the end of the world.

George is a candy ass.

... "I wanted to cover strange things," Noory said. His interest in the supernatural drove him.

However, his choices did not always match those of his bosses in the news business.

"News wanted me to cover normal things," Noory said...

That's weird.  They must have lied about what the job was going to be when they hired him.

George Noory

... John Smyntek, also a 1972 graduate, become an editor with the Detroit Free Press and covered the radio industry for many years. He has followed Noory's career.

"George broadened the show to discuss science (especially the shrinking space program, natural phenomena, like earthquakes and meteors ,and, of course, crop circles) and government secrecy and conspiracy theories and theoreticians," said Smyntek...

... Further, I'm absolutely sure Noory has, if anything, greatly narrowed the scope of the show by focusing heavily on predatory New Age mysticism; nonsense based on absolutely nothing but gullibility and wishful thinking with guests usually peddling books or consults to the hopeless and emotionally needy.  Bell covered a far broader subject spectrum that usually had some relation to observed phenomena and/or investigation.  And he did so with sharp wit and bit of skepticism, not Noory's smarmy, insultingly blind acceptance of every dopey notion presented.

When George is sitting around scratching himself, wondering why he has a reputation all over the internet for lying, this is the sort of thing people are referring to.

... nothing new ever.

Noory doesn't even seem to recall he asked the same questions before and doesn't remember the answers.  You can tell returning guests are a bit disturbed by that in their tone when Noory asks his same old tired repeat questions and comments...

It's for thuh new lissners.  George doesn't have many long time listeners.

... then Noory commented Billy was in his studio and amazingly is now all "grown up"

Noory thought he would still be a little kid after 50 years?  :o

Like when he's talking about someone dying from something 100 years ago, 'if he hadn't died from (fill in the blank), he'd still be around'

On any given night, university alum George Noory – host of the nation's most popular overnight radio show – may touch on time travel, aliens, UFOs, vampires, 9-11 conspiracies and near-death experiences.

'How are yoo', 'whut gotyuh innerested in...', 'whut's yer website', 'whut's nexsct foryuh'.  Yeah George touches on a lot of subjects.  Barely.

Noory was born in Detroit and grew up in Dearborn Heights. As a boy he became fascinated with UFOs and other phenomena. He read a book that got him interested in what would become the subject matter of his show.

"It was ‘We Are Not Alone' by Walter Sullivan," Noory said. He was 13 at the time.

I thought it all started with his out of body experience, and a book about that.

John Smyntek, also a 1972 graduate, become an editor with the Detroit Free Press and covered the radio industry for many years. He has followed Noory's career.

"George broadened the show to discuss science (especially the shrinking space program, natural phenomena, like earthquakes and meteors ,and, of course, crop circles) and government secrecy and conspiracy theories and theoreticians," said Smyntek.

Nice job following The Snorge's career, John.  No mention of his complete lack of interviewing skill or lack of show preparation.  No mention of all the information George has (not) been able to elicit from the guests or gleaned through his own (lack of) research.  Some editor this guy must be.

Pretty sure George did not broaden the show to include any of these things.  Art was already doing them long before The Snoron showed up.  Do editors at the Detroit Free Press still check facts?

I wonder if this student newspaper reporter, the editor, or any of these other people ever listen to the show, or are they like the PremRat folks who just listen to George talk about the show.

I think this site has more than adequately dis-proven the old adage, "There's no such thing as a stupid question."

George enjoys disproving the sayings that apply to most of the rest of us.  Others include 'be yourself' and '90% of life is just showing up'.

One quote he couldn't wait to disprove was 'George get's it'.

Noory continues to be a liar.  Do you really believe that a guy in prison would email Noory and say he's doing time for molesting a child?  The inmate would simply leave that part out.  I hate Noory's lack of basic intelligence, but his continual lying makes my skin crawl.

Now that we've heard his mother tunes in every night, then critiques his performance, his moralistic, political, and religious comments should be considered with that in mind... unless he was lying about that too..

If she truly listens, then complains, obviously his lack of hosting and interviewing skills aren't the problem with her or he would have attempted to address some of that years ago.

The Photo of the Day at the c2c website, looks like an accurate depiction of Noory:

This was actually supposed to be on the cover of the new book, but Lisa finally decided it looked a little too airbrushed..

I don't think the show ever jumped the shark while Art was there. I do find one interesting show where this guy who claimed to be some sort of mercenary was on. And he went on and on about how he went into bad neighborhoods to hone his skills. He claimed that gang members ran when he beat up just a few with his combat skills. The guy then claims that he was an expert sniper that was trained to take out targets from over 1000 yards out. But when some people called in and asked him some simple questions about the sniper craft, this "mercenary" was fumbling over his words and seemed to be full of it. I'm gonna see if I can find that interview as I have it somewhere.

Kylearan

Was it Robert Young Pelton, author of "The World's Most Dangerous Places"?  He has been on with Art, Ian and George Noory.

Noory is holding over second hour guest the Number's Lady over for the third hour, reducing open lines to the final hour.
Norry will probably sneak out early in the last hour too and go to an old replay since on the c2c website he has a live event to host at 11am tomorrow in LA.

Did he find his 11-11 cue card?

I watched some of the chat, first time ever.  Geo and Tommy, what a couple of dopey looking mofos.  Then towards the end, Geo and Tommy start emphasizing how the calls are unscreened for Geo because he doesn't know who Tommy is screening out and Tommy doesn't tell him what the caller's topic is.  So even though Tommy screens the calls, they are unscreened as far as Geo is concerned.  Uh.... OK.... if you say so.

Too bad they don't spend as much time trying to put out a quality show as they do trying to cover all George's various inadequacies..

And again I agree with both of you. George is all about his own ego.  Nothing else motivates him to competency. No wonder we all love him so.

If nothing else George Noory is quite the character study.

I'd like to think he's sleepwalking during his show - it would explain a lot.

George:  'Tommy, how wuz thuh show las' night?  Anything come up I need to know about?'

Shameless ass-kissing. Unfuckingbelievable.

I want to say some words about how others in the media, the milieu of George Noory hangers-on, that unabashedly kiss his trashbag rectum just for some table scraps from the Nightsqauwk's last dinner. This current rant is about Alex Jones.

I was listening to his latest Infowars "Money Bomb" broadcast. At the beginning of the 5th hour, none other than George Noory was the guest. At approximately 2 to 3 minutes into the hour, I heard the following:

Alex Jones: Well, George, that... in fact... that was my next question for you. You see the awakening, you are a world-renowned analyst, media personality, researcher, probably one the best interviewers out there bar none, probably even better than Larry King in his heyday. You have your finger on the pulse, so I know you're picking up what I'm picking up. Uh, I am a person who is well-known, especially because of the internet and so anywhere I go, people stop me, and it's not every 10 or 15 people now, it's every 3 or 4 or 5, no matter where I go. Blah, blah, blah.

I literally screamed out loud in an elevator, "What??"

I perfectly understand that this and similar incidents are about cozying up and keeping the warm fire of ratings and advertising dollars burning bright. A pathway to this goal is feeding upon Geroge Noory's excrement. Sounds like a good way to get tapeworms to me. But even if Jones was simply being calculating by having Noory on the broadcast and using his presence to create a ratings synergy, why in the world would anyone go out of their way to say such patently false statements?

Can anyone point to different reasons why this might be happening? Is there any chance in hell that people like Jones really believe this absurdity? Or are there other possible explanations?

I would be especially interested in hearing about other "media personalities" who have sunk so low as to venerate this false prophet.

After reading this and realizing George Noory would be on with Alex Jones, I just couldn't resist finding it on youTube (turns out there are 3 parts about 15 minutes each).

Sure enough, Alex was slobbering all over George, pretty disgusting.  And that voice...

But someone here pointed out George seemed so much better on Alex' show than on his own.  It was amazing, if I had never heard of George Noory and didn't already know the thousand different ways he sucks, I would not have come away thinking this guy is the worst possible choice on the planet to replace Art Bell. He didn't stumble over every third word, he seemed to be listening when Alex spoke, it sounded like he had at least a basic knowledge of the paranormal and current events.

This must be the way he is around the office and when he is talking to the people at PremRat that determine who gets to host radio shows.  No wonder all the calls and emails complaining about George fall on deaf ears over there.  This performance must be close to Art Bell's Noory, the one that 'gets it'.

On his own show he usually seems unable to function unless it's all scripted out for him, and when it is scripted he sounds like someone just learning to read.

On Alex' show he was of course full of himself - and Alex sure wasn't helping by being the consumate kiss ass - and he didn't seem to mind distorting the truth to pump himself up half the time.  And a lot of it it was the same stupid Norry stuff - maybe I'll have listen again and post some of the annoying crap he and Alex put out there, but someone not knowing George, not having heard years of awfulness, it would be easy not to have picked up on.

I've seen clips of George at meet and greets where he seems to be interacting with the audience normally as well,  Is George just so tense and uptight on his own show that he can't function, but ok in SOME other settings?

I remember it.  I thought he got it from Dames.  You know, Bigfeet are ETs that he formerly thought were visiting Earth as tourists.  They have little red lights that are human sensors (or something) and this advanced technology lets them know when anyone is approaching.  That is why they are never caught.  He, however, knows where they beam in and out.  They may not use the lights there and he is very likely to catch one.  Now he no longer holds this theory (sorry, can't remember his new theory) and he may not catch one real soon.  Maybe later.  Anyway, Dames’ point was they might look like apes but are ultra bright space guys (or maybe interdimensionals).

George's Chewbacca remark is Noory-speak for "don't judge a book by it's cover".  I seem to think I heard it more than once.

There really is no bottom to George's Suckage.

What a sad sack George must be tooling around Sherman Oaks.

I picture LA teeming with people in the entertainment industry - actors and actresses trying to get bit parts, maybe some commercials, screen writers, stage hands, cast and crew putting together TV shows, the bar tenders and valets all trying to make it someday.

Here comes cheesy George Noory, swaggering into whicherver restaurant or bar, 'dooyuh know me?' he asks slyly, trying to get a free coke, 'I'm onthuh radio'.  Yawns all around.  Every once in awhile some young eager reporter type is thrilled to hear he is 'somebody' - the Snorge probably goes full diva on them, although making sure they don't get away.  Most days there's an unusually large pork-faced man-servant scuttling along behind, ready to jump in if George starts to get carried away with himself...
