I think the interest of the secular press in the papal election (CBS Evening News is broadcasting this week from the Vatican) is a little strange. The other 6+ billion of us don't really care.

Same here.  What's that all about?  Are they just having slow news days?  Not enough named winter storms to fear monger?

I have to watch The Weather Channel at times for comic relief.  Between their dorky names for Winter storms and the melodrama of Jim Cantore, it's the new Comedy Channel.

I've always thought it would be funny if Jorch were to interview himself about one of his supposed books.  I'm sure he'd appear as clueless about the content of the book as he does with any other.

So, when is somebody going to try to put out a fake Jorch Noory book?  Oh, wait... that's right... he sucks.

I thought all of Jorch's "books" were fake?

Clyde's pretty decent when he has a non-conspiratorial guest.  At least he's awake and able to ask intelligent questions, as opposed to the Nooron.

It's another story when he's off on a rant, some whacko conspiracy speculation, or a meme theme.  He starts to sound like an escapee from the local nuthouse.

What annoys me is when I'm at a stoplight, with several cars in front of me and I miss the green light because some nitwit in front of me is to slow to recognize the light has changed to green because they're playing with their Iphone, Android, idiot-box of some sort.   >:(

He might be a billionaire. He owns the patent on suck. Considering all that sucks...Noory is a magnate.

Well he's certainly a maggot.

The best thing about Ian is he's not Jorch Nooree.

18190
Fortunately, it's a Jorch free night.  I realize Punnett isn't popular with everybody but I prefer to look at the positive.  He's not Noory.  Four hours of dead air are better than Noory.

Why do I feel like I'm reading something from Richard C. Hoaxster and seeing something on Mars?

Few things are more dehumanizing, more life-sucking, than shoveling tightly-packed snow.  That and digging a hole while watching the dirt fall down the sides.

Funny you'd mention digging a hole.  I'm in a warmer part of the country and that's what I spent some delightful time doing today.  Actually it was worse than digging a hole.  I had to remove an overgrown dead shrub with roots from here to China.  I had to dig down to get to the roots and clip them off with a big cutter so I could put in a new shrub.  Fortunately, all I needed was some aspirin after all the involuntary exercise.  The bad news is I noticed another shrub that may require a repeat performance.  :P

18194

I turned the show on during the first half just in time to hear, Slade, the brain guy, answer sNoory`s question about the optimal amount of sleep. Slade then changed gears and talked about exercise,  finishing up with:

Slade: So, the best time to exercise would be in the afternoon...early afternoon

   sNoory: A nap??

      Slade: No..Exercise!

sNoory: Well, I mean when is a good time to take a nap?

I was hoping Slade, the brain guy, was going to say, "I don`t know, but definitely not during a freaking interview!"

Hahaha..... Of course Jorch is more interested in naps than exercise.  They're no doubt a big part of his daily 8 hour show prep time.

.... Looks like Snoory's bailin' out of a sinkin' ship!

Isn't that what all rats do?  Probably abandoning the Titanic to board the Lusitania.

18196
Nimwit Noory just asked his guest UFO researcher Paola Harris if she ever worked with J. Allen Hynek.
She had mentioned working with Hynek several times in the past hour already, wasn't Noory listening to her at all? :P

I'm surprised Jorch didn't follow that up with some kind of remark, wondering how J. Allen found the time to come-up with the "Hynek Maneuver."  ::)

George would lke that too.

"They're buildin' me a studio in a port-uh-potty outside in thuh sun, an' as soon as they fill it wif raw sewage we'll be able to use it"

Hahahaha.... ;D ....."So Tommy, how's thuh raw sewage 'fill'n go'n?"

18202
Sounds like a quadcopter, to me.  They've become very popular with the radio control community and others.  Probably some yahoo fooling around with one, too close to an airport and too high.   Anybody who's really into radio control aircraft and an AMA  member or has common sense knows you're not suppose to be flying close to an airport or up that high in approach paths.

18203
I don't know about Bigfoot but I'm positive Noory sucks.

18204

ah nothing like the classics for a good laugh.
We need to pair this up with GN's "If you combine the dna of a fish and a man would you get a man-fish hybrid?"

Noory probably thinks "The Creature from the Black Lagoon" is a documentary.  I'm surprised he hasn't asked LMH for an update.

18205
Likely it only exists in Fart Rock's head, a place which I don't think anyone ought to go.

;D   Sounds like the likely location for the scorpion army.  When I see Fort Rock pop-up and start hallucinating about his scorpion army, it does bring to mind the less than stellar "The Mummy Returns" movie, with the Scorpion King and his army.

http://mummy.wikia.com/wiki/The_Mummy_Returns

Just another movie I was never to able to completely view for fear of my head exploding.

18206

.....Don't mean to change the subject, but has anyone seen Elflord?

I think he's busy organizing the scorpion army.

18207
Jorch is definitely a "Noory." (Reference - Urban Dictionary)

18208
George never ceases to amaze me with his ability to completely screw up the fundamentals of "his" radio program. Reading that poem out of the gate was like slamming the breaks on, completely destroying any momentum that comes from opening the show.

Jorch, The Sixth Sense of Suck.

18209
holy god did the submerging artists SUCK horribly last night.  There were 2 songs I can remember cause the vocals on them were horribly amateur... technology sucks man... now any idiot with musical delusions of grandeur can record and submit people to their sickness

I made the mistake of tuning in late.  Not that late was the mistake, though.  Just in time to hear one of them.  I thought somebody was strangling a cat.  Of course, tasteless Jorch, the arbiter of talent, declared the submerging artists were just fantastic.  :P   I hit the Noory switch to shut the shill down.

18210
What do you guys think of george reading that poem at the beginning of the show last night?

Poem?  What next, acoustic guitar?   ::)
