Whatever the justice system is doing now to correct this problem is not working, that's why I am suggesting to step it up, a LOT. These animals don't have any qualms about murdering someone or ruining lives as long as they get to their bottom line, which is always power and money. So why should average citizens have a problem in treating them like garbage to keep them off of the streets and away from the general population. If there are separate facilities currently being used strictly for drug cartel members, the standards need to be set even lower than what they currently are.

It's going to take a radical approach to control this problem, as much as it can be controlled. There will always be a criminal element around no matter how severe the punishments are. I think something just needs to be done to make the drug trade as unappealing as possible.

And if a few "innocents" (innocent meaning not guilty of murder, but likely guilty of assault, theft, rape, a whole host of other crimes associated with drug gang activity) get taken out in the process, consider it a preemptive strike.

I think it's going to take some serious action to get the drug culture under control. I say speed up the trials and perform record levels of capital punishment. Think that's harsh? How about all of the narcoterrorism, violence, rapes, innocents murdered, beheadings, et al these gangs are responsible for? It's going to take hardcore actions to wrangle these people into submission.

They wanna play bad-boy tough guy, they face the ultimate punishment. Enough with the glamorizing of this bullshit in mainstream media, also. Maybe they should even build special prisons/holding facilities for these people with absolutely no way to connect to the outside world. No phone calls, no visitors. Solitary confinement 24/7. That way these people can't continue conducting their business with the outside through smuggled pre-paid cell phones or notes or corrupt prison guards.

My husband is from Mexico and is ashamed of the way his country's government has failed to accomplish much of anything by way of stopping these narcoterrorists. Most of the police and now even military are corrupt anyway. If Mexico doesn't want to step up and fight fire with fire, maybe at least our country can set an example when it leaks onto our side of the border.

A caller attempts to explain how a recently deceased individual seems to have become a part of him.  The caller, searching for a way to describe it, says it is like being a double exposed photograph.

Both the guest and Ian totally strike out in their reply to him.

The guest, who has a book called "The Big Book of the Soul" or something (AKA BIG BOOK OF CRAP), incorrectly asserts the caller is possibly being possessed.  He completely ignores soul transmigration theory.

Ian then stupidly spews forth an analogy of a computer concurrently booting up with two different operating systems.  The caller reluctantly agrees.

I thought that whole exchange was bizarre. The author of the book just blew the guy off and referred him to seek mental help, saying it might be a symptom of bi-polar or multiple personality disorder (I can't remember which one). His entire book and reason for being there could be the result of a mental disorder in a LOT of people's opinion! I thought the the caller's issue was very interesting, and expected a completely different response from the guest.

I am growing increasingly agitated about Ian cutting off caller's questions to get to even MORE callers. Some of the people he cuts off have some interesting questions or stories they are telling. He needs to realize it isn't a race to get to as many callers as possible. If someone has something to say, give them their time. It's quality, not quantity.

I can't stand listening to the show when Linda Moulton Howe is on. Her pre-recorded interviews bother me too much. It's not necessarily that they are pre-recorded, it's just her voice and lack of any sort of inflection in the way she speaks. I've said she sounds like she is on the verge of tears. Now I think her voice sounds more like a computer program where you just enter in random words and a computer voice blankly states them with zero variation or emotion. Or it almost sounds like she is someone who is reading aloud another language with no accent, but has no idea what she is actually saying. At least her interviewees tend to sound like real humans with real speech patterns and not robots.

Has anyone ever noticed how there are a few people who call in repeatedly to the show?

The main guy who stands out for me is named Bob, or Bill, or some other exceedingly common name that escapes me.  I've heard him several times both when Ian and George host the show.  He always starts off on a tirade about how he and his wife had to take in his daughter's "two little girls" because the parents decided to abandon them.  He throws that in no matter what the issue he's calling about.. like he feels he deserves props on an internationally broadcasted show for doing a stand-up thing.

Then I noticed that Craig the truck driver from Colorado called back on a recent program.  The first time he was on is when he started off the phone call by berating George Noory and telling him how much he sucks compared to Ian Punnett.  He may have had a few points there but his method of delivery of the criticism was too childish to take seriously.  But I love George's lame response after he dumped him:  "You, my friend, should learn some manners."

There was also another guy who recently called about allegedly having information about the 9/11 attacks because he worked for Osama bin Laden as some kind of a contractor.  He said bin Laden divulged information to him, but never explained WHY or why he (the caller) didn't go to the authorities before or right after the attack.  I don't think this guy called Coast to Coast numerous times, but I listen to a lot of talk radio and he has definitely been making the rounds on some other circuits.

It's common knowledge that a lot of people who call in the show suffer some sort of a mental or personality disorder, but the people who keep calling and rehashing the same psychobabble are in a completely delusional league of their own....

Archive of Old Threads / Re: George's Celebrity Friends

On the September 30th show, he was saying how he is friends with a band member of ZZ Top.  I wonder if any of these celebrities know they are friends with George Noory.  Sounds like he is trying to ride their coattails to fame and give credence to his delusions of grandeur by associating himself with actual successful people.

Did anyone catch the show a few nights back with the nuclear physicist Frank Wilczek?  That was the show that prompted me to look for a website that clearly pointed out how terrible a host George Noory truly is.  And I'm glad I came across this one.. you guys are hilarious.  But during the show, Mr. Wilczek was becoming so increasingly frustrated at Noory's inane line of questioning I really expected him to end the interview several times.  He would wait like 5 seconds before answering every question, which is an eternity of dead-air.  Or he would simply ignore Noory when he tried to interject with another question and would continue with his original train of thought.

Why doesn't Noory just give it up already?  I mean, it's clear he never truly interviews anybody.  He has a few token phrases he throws in after a guest completes a sentence, i.e., "that's fascinating!", "a terrible time, indeed", "could it be a wormhole?", or anything about black holes created by the Large Hadron Collider and/or 2012.  Why even bother having him actually in the studio when the interview could be done with a few pre-recorded drops? It's just a shame when he has on someone who actually has some intelligent points to make or theories to explain and his lack of communication skills completely ruins what could have been an amazing informational session.

The other day a man who had recently been released from a prison stint called in to ask a question and Noory started doing an impromptu interview with the guy.  Noory was asking him about what led him to prison, etc. and how Coast to Coast AM has a substantial incarcerated fanbase.  It seemed so pathetic and forced on Noory's part, like he was trying to earn some street cred by being down with the felons and understanding their plight.

Linda Moulton Howe's voice is incredibly grating.  Especially during the segments where she is recorded interviewing someone.  Her voice sounds like a robot, or that she is on the verge of tears.
