Norry DID creepily mention "spin the bottle" during the show. And "twister." Hardly games that he could, like others he mentioned that are meant to be multi, or at least two, person games that he "played alone."
"LMH, Numbers Lady, Katheryn Albrecht, wanna play "twister?" "How about spin the bottle?" I got some wine.....

Fat people have an unfair advantage at Spin the Bottle.

Haven’t gotten a ticket yet but streets were kind of deserted in the parts of town I was lost in.

Frikkin Canadians are probably too polite to ever question a red light.

Never mind. I got my answer from an expat in Mexico.

BTW - the answer is yes. Unless prohibited by a sign or a moose in a crosswalk. Or on the Isle of Montreal were it is illegal because everyone is smoking in the crosswalk.

This place needs more Canadians. We're all generally fair and reasoned, wouldn't you say? We were thinking of building a wall to keep the American wingnuts out but they'd probably just wait until winter and walk across the Great Lakes.

Nice try. Still no Cup for you.

Did he host an entire show, or just call into while Heather was hosting an open lines edition of MITD?

Have a date for the fill in for Heather?

Al Franken is so Old School, that was just givin' his 2 week notice... so his resume would look good, as he looks for his next job.  :D

Figure it is going to take that long to convince the governor to appoint Keith Ellison so he can be the token muslim senator.

I haven't listened but I'm sure that they would tie snow in Central Texas, and the miracle, loved, and rare, "snowday" for kids, and some businesses to the "warming." They would probably like the kids who are gleeful with the snow and day-off go to some centralized government center, maybe FEMA, to learn about "warming" and some cobbled together VHS footage of Billary talking about "it takes a village" and Al Gore about gloom and doom instead of letting them sled, peg cars and each other with snowballs, and make snowmen (sexist, why only snowmen, but make a snowwoman and that would also be "sexualizing" snow.)

Don’t forget the snow is white. White privilege once again.

Good news about Mr.Pye's eyes. Hope it all goes well. I liked that motivational poster also.

IT IS  SNOWING HERE!! Real snow with big flakes and actually sticking to the ground, deck, and vehicles. So far the roads are too warm so it is a slushy mess. But blowing/falling pretty good that on the country road it was hard to tell where the road was! Rare for Central Texas and all the neighborhood kids (and adults) are enjoying it. First time for many kids to have seen snow. And all are hoping for the miracle of a snowday.

Already covering the ground up in College Station. My daughter has seen snow before but she is giggling.

With Roy Moore, one thing that’s forgotten is that in the 70s and into the mid-80s, an 18-year old was an adult. He or she could buy alcohol, guns, cigarettes, vote and be drafted (while there was a draft). 18-year olds were not considered precious snowflakes.

I have 3 female cousins from Alabama. They were all 3-5 years older than me, so probably around the same timeframe as Moore was down there as a single man. All 3 were married before they were 16 and the youngest one was married right after she turned 14. Times and customs were different back then. Especially in Alabama.

In 1983, congress censured two congressman for having sexual relations with 17 year old pages.

Studds from Massachusetts was a democrat and went on to be reelected another 6 times or so.

Crane from Illinois was a republican and was defeated in the next election.

How times of changed. Oh, what was the difference?  Studds had a homosexual affair with a male page that was 17. Crane made the mistake of falling for a female.

What is worse is that simple allegations, sometimes decades in the past, are assumed to be true and convictions with out a trial or even hearing. And the media and social phenomena has made "sexual harassment"  to include everything into one basket. As if something like rape or child abuse is the same as telling a dirty joke in the workplace or a grope at a party. Sure the latter is bad but not as bad as the former. And no nuance or difference between things that are, at best, civil crimes or in bad taste versus very violent acts. And even anonymous accusations are deemed true without a day in court, a chance to confront the accuser, or needed to have evidence.

Mary Jo Kopechne is rolling in her grave.

I don't know what this has to do with anything.  I didn't say completely stop tweeting, I said the dumb tweets and comments are hurting him.  And, more importantly, the agenda we voted for.  Especially the gratuitous insults.  Either insulting people whose vote he might need on some issue, or comments a group might take wrong.  For example why insult John McCain for zero benefit?  Why start yapping about ''Pocahontus'' when meeting with the Navaho code breakers?

You get why those are both stupid in the extreme, right?

So instead of responding to that, you want to bring up some comment he's made that was ''confirmed'' later?  Talking to you is starting to be like talking to a liberal.  As in completely unable to focus, with a need to keep jumping around rather than following the conversation and simply responding to what is said.

It is a tad obtuse to connect the dots between Warren (Fauxahontas) and the Code Talkers, but the essence is this:

Warren’s baby is the CFPB. In the days before, the head of the CFPB resigned, appointing a deputy to take his place. Trump appointed an acting head for the CFPB and the deputy (funded by someone, probably Soros) filed a lawsuit about who should be in charge. While Trump was meeting with the Code Talkers, Warren and Schumer were meeting with the newly appointed deputy of the CFPB.

This was obviously on Trump’s mind, so he chose to turn the Code Talkers meeting which was otherwise not a newsworthy item into the news item of the day.

That is not a good enough reason.  It certainly isn't ''brilliant''.  Perhaps a better way of resolving it is to remove it as policy - he doesn't have a problem undoing other policies - although I agree for that we should get something from the Palestinians in return

As far as the downside, I already gave you 3 or 4 reasons.

It’s not just a policy. It’s a law since 1995. The law may very well be unconstitutional since it muddies the waters by congress truing to set foreign policy, bush t nevertheless, it is a law.

How To Use BellGab / Re: Attaching Images Disabled
« on: December 06, 2017, 01:42:31 AM »
One more time please.  When i find an img that doesnt have a convenient file format like jpg, i need to convert it. Fine. But downloading is involved.  As soon as i download, i lose the http WebP URL. Okeee, so back to the img converter to get the http added, but then when it is done, it downloads and i lose the http again.  I get something like "outgoing" blah blah file name.

Dont get me wrong, sometimes i get lucky by searching the web for the image and finding a jpg by opening the img a couple times.

But as soon as my "gallery" or "photos" is involved (tablet storage), i lose the http part.  I click all the options, like "details" but no valid format is shown.

Help!  But only for local solutions.  I don't want to involve online Internet storage.  Unless youncan recommend a very simple free one with nomregistration required.  I dont want to have to take the time to logon every time, as im already in time-consuming loops here.

Serious replies only.

Not sure what you are getting at but check this out. Login is optional.

Apple, which reserved $15.8 billion for income taxes on $59 billion in operating income. Apple reports its effective tax rate as 25.8%, which is quite a bit lower than the statutory 35% rate.

Microsoft in the year ended June 2016 had $20.1 billion in foreign income and a domestic loss of $300 million. Microsoft’s income tax expense was $3.3 billion, for an effective rate of 16.5%. Alphabet, the parent company of Google, posted a $4.7 billion tax expense, or 19%

. General Electric earned $10 billion last year, but recorded a tax benefit of $400 million for a 12-month tax rate of -4.5%.

ExxonMobil, because of the collapse in oil prices, had an odd income statement in 2016, with EBIT of $4.2 billion, net income of $7.8 billion, and a $406 million income tax benefit. That would imply that Exxon paid no taxes in 2016

Trump made ?????   And paid ?????

Tack into the wind?

It is estimated that there is $4 trillion in offehore accounts that could be repatriated under the new tax law. Getting that money into the US economy is a good thing, right?  Paying income tax (of any percentage) on that money is better than never seeing any of it, right?

I would still have preferred a 30% decrease across all federal agencies the first year and 20% over the next year. And then we could have REALLY “afforded” a tax cut.

Cracks me up when they ask how can we Afford a taxcut. That is a nonsensical statement. It starts with the premise that all of the money belongs to the federal government. Bassackwards thinking.

Now the illegal alien murder's lawyers are going to ask the judge to throw out his his gun possession conviction.  You know, the people always insisting they are for ''social justice''.  Does this sound like they want social justice?  Or any kind of justice?  Remember that next time they are out rioting and blocking traffic in the name of ''social justice''.

This is what the Left does.  What they want you to think they mean when they use certain words and phases is not what they mean by them at all

http://sanfrancisco.cbslocal.com/2017/12/04/kate-steinle-appeal-gun-conviction/

Its not his fault. He didn’t know he had illegally entered the United States again after being deported the last time.

I heard a federal grand jury issued an indictment for him today concerning his violation of his deportation orders.

Once it's law we are stuck with it. If they thought it was a good bill why are they trying to push it through so fast? The Republicans have said this is something they had to pass for the donor class to keep that sweet campaign money coming in. It is not for us. The majority of Americans are against it. Which is a remarkable thing for tax cutting

That is funny. First of all, 50% do not pay ANY income taxes, and it is a fact that many get more than they ever had withheld on their checks due to various credits.

Second, noone onows what the final bill will contain, so anyone that has an opinion is only basing that on what some talking head told them was in the bill.

Hey, Obama is in India on a political mission.

Not only is it traditional for ex-presidents to step aside and give their successor room to operate without having them looming in the background, haven't we been told contact by anyone but the president and his administration is highly illegal?  That not even an incoming transition team is allowed contact?  Not that it is or ever was an issue, but isn't that what we've been told for a year now?

Well, except those speeches that Clinton got paid for in Russia.

Bush tax cuts are no longer in effect, they were sunsetted and expired in 2010. ... hence the top rate of 39.6%.

A neighbor put Monsanto's Roundup in my organic garden, which my three pets used to graze on.  My plants sucked it up, but I didn't know.  It poisoned them.  Treatment was expensive.  One died a horrible death four years later of massive liver cancer.

Every time I used Round up on plants it was quite obvious that they had been sprayed with weed killer within an hour. Did your neighbor admit to spraying your garden?  That sounds like a mean thing to do. Get Gunny (Paladin) to go beat him up.
