Just donated 20 to the site.   10 for the great show, and 10 to help find a "good fucking lawyer" :)

Madman Markum did not give Art a time machine. It was someone else.

You're right, I think that was Steven Gibbs.  BUT if I remember correctly, it still shocked the shit out of the user.  I remember Art asking him if it was UL listed, and Gibbs had no idea wtf he was talkin about.  It plugs in the wall and only requires a crystal.  No doubt Falkie has some of those layin around that shitheap apt of his?

Sad to hear this news.  Huge part of my night when working, browsing, gaming,  or just randomly walking or driving.

Cheers on the other side Art. :(

Aren't you an Aussie?  (Do they have Targets there?)

California :)
I brought an aussie on to the gabcast once though.  Her name was Shaunna and she was an opera singer.

Considering how infuriated people were that Art left the show, I'm kinda surprised that nobody stalked him to make him go back on the would be like a battle between stalkers:  Stalker Wars  ;D

That's alot of half empty beer cans out there.

I know this might be a bit off topic.

Last night I was standing in the checkout lane at Target.
I looked over at the wall of trading cards/collectible toys.  I noticed there were some Garbage Pail Kids cards sittin up there.
Now I was aware they reprinted these some time ago, and I used to collect the shit out of these when I was younger.  So I walked out of the lane, giving the lady behind me my space, to go grab these cards.

I bought about 5 packs.  I get home open them up and this is the first one I see.  So I thought I would share it with you guys

Some say MV doesn't much like discussing goblins and such. Mostly just gabblings and such. #MVTalk

That's true.
But I wonder from a broadcast experience perspective, if all that knowledge that he does have on the subject will have fun surfacing.

Hell Ive listened to enough shows to know most of the stories/players out there to wing it for a few eps. I just don't have a sweet microphone anymore.

This appeals to my interest :)

I supported each incarnation of this program.  I will continue so long as I can get work done with the shows playing in the background.

I enjoy listening to Art, Heather, everyone from Bellphiles/Gabcast/SpecSheet while I'm working.
Not really wanting to partake of the drama.  But if MV wants to take a shot at it, I will support it.  Most of the people here have a good knowledge of the subject matter / guest topics to probably do a decent job. So as long as someone can get in that seat and interview people, I will listen.

In short, Ill help in anyway I can.

wanted to say how gracious and incredible it is of you for doing the Gabcast this week i think its going to be GREAT SHOW.  I know it will be a fun interview and enjoyable for everyone listening.  MV will do an awesome and very respectful  job.  Once again thanks so much for doing this.

Ya man, Ive been gone for a while.  Tryin to get caught up on all this stuff.  Listening to the Jan 18th ep right now. Crazy shit. And last I heard Art wasnt comin back here.  So this is all pretty dramatic.
Hoping the universe works this shit out.   But I will say that If i can get a call in, it will be totally civil and not even pertaining to this negative stuff.

And I know some posters here wanna categorize the listeners into certain extreme groups. But understand there are some of us that are just "lost fans" in radio limbo that wanna hear interesting guests and voices while we work, and do other things.   I'm not a blind fan of anything other than moving forward.

Speakin of which, Ive noticed other certain posters have re-emerged that haven't moved forward in life either. It's sad and I'm just keepin my naive fingers crossed that everyone can enjoy what we once did again.

I said I would do the Gab Cast and I will, however if it is filled with people attacking my Family or truly foul stuff I won't be there long. I hope this can be done in a adult way and I hope that is not to much to ask. I don't mind hard questions but I do ask that people be civil.

My questions will be tethered to the subject of your Art Bell themed pinball machine that doesnt exist yet.  :)

JK, I'm sure it will be a question that has to do with a past show or something fun and unrelated to the drama.  Will be lookin forward to it.  Thx for posting a headsup.

A week or more later and I'm still angry at Art for quitting again and depressed that he's gone. :'(

Agreed as well.  Ill be on standby for those occasions he's able to make appearances.  Sucks there's alot of negativity on this forum.  Or just in general over this situation. I hope we can all chill out.

I know its a lame excuse for some but its the holidays and even though specifically you might not share the EXACT same beliefs, I hope the general spirit of kindness is prevalent in your respective cultures.   We all shared/do share an interest at some point for this guy. Whether our actions reflecting the recent event were negative or confused, I would ask that we can put those feelings aside temporarily to wish each other some modicum of happiness and safety this year?  I wish it for all of you as well as Art and his family.   Yes things suck recently. But, we all still have one another in some way and I guess I am thankful for that despite not having met any of you.

I NEVER used to be sentimental about things. Its only after society and just time seems to take those things I took for granted from me year by year.  So I think alot of us here wanna keep hold to what few things we really enjoy.  Including Art himself.  Id love nothing more to deliver this stalker jerk to him hogtied with a bow on his head for xmas, and tell Art to keep the 20k and put it back into maintaining the show. Especially if it gave his wife and daughter some peace of mind that the world is not completely terrible.

Can my life go on without this show? Yes.  But if it were up to me, Id have him doing what he loves, talking while I do what I love, listening.   It wasnt always the topics that interested me about Art, but hearing someone do what they enjoy doing that was pleasing to my ear. The enthusiasm.

Yes I am naive thinkin my hippie-ass-kumbaya suggestion of just tryin to hope the best for everyone will gain traction.  But I had to at least put it on the table, given what I've read lately.

Good to be back by the way and hope you all have a great day today.

Back then archiving was a bit more expensive if you wanted to do it 'officially'   Today the need to have it everywhere is not as great.  Its cost effective enough to have the option to go back.  Even that 'other' program only offers what 3 years?   That's kinda crap.   I am guessing/hoping the archive access for "Time travelers" will go back as many years as its inception ? :)

The thing, to me, about anonymous (and be extension at bit also about Wikileaks, Manning, Snowden) is that proclaim to be about "justice" etc but they always are going after our countries (USA in particular) or simply hacks into local police departments, etc. We have problems, no doubt, in our countries but likely not as much, at least over all, compared to other countries. Why don't they hack or leak China, N.Korea, ISIS, Russia, corrupt African regimes, more on the bank accounts of our politicians (or foreign dictators) off-shore accounts, Iran, Israel, TPP, TIA, UN machinations, Mafia, 'Ndrangheta, Russian mafia, details about Big Bank LIBOR, money laundering, etc etc etc.

And I recall they talked "really big" about hacking some of the Mexican cartels. But QUICKLY backed off and nothing came of it after a few bloggers (probably not even associated with Anon) got their heads cut off. They talk big but hack stuff like Hollywood star sex pics, movies and games, or local PDs- in other words juvenile stuff and likely relatively easy.

Truth.   I remember those people gettin cut up too. Gnar story.  But I still would have like to heard from someone who actually participates in those "hacktivies" And explained to Art how alot of that 'anon' crap started on ebaums/somethingawful/2chan/4chan imageboards, with habbo raids, and other random social media attacks. Then thirsty ex bf/gf's trying to get bruteforce/ddos/doxer  to become their "personal army". And go after Myspace/facebook pages.   Then FF a couple years and fox plays some DUMB shit about anon and then it snowballed out of the imageboards and out on the net.

The caller is the cliche version of what "anon" has become.  "take up the guy fawkes mask.."
There's a term for those type of people. I wont use it here but trust me, he's late to the party if 'this' was his origin story.

Anyway, he's a boner.  This motorcycle time traveler guy has more credibility.

Love this show.  Wish it was longer

Just talking about Youtube.  I am not gonna scour the net for eps.  Only reason I mentioned it is because those ones from a couple nights ago disappeared already.  So someone is already on this campaign,  I was just wondering if there was a consolidated place where these are being posted.

my state on dickmove piracy has been clear.  I was a fan of the "keep circulating the tapes" msg at the end of mst3k.

I am just covering my ass since I am only playing DM eps and bumper music in there until he comes on.  Just letting people know that the eps are getting taken down.

Keep loling at the "anon" guy.    Love me some /r/tards tryin to sound like they represent the collective.  "Anyone who says they are anonymous, they aren't"  Then goes on to try and explain where he's spent the last 10 years of his life watching underage porn and anime. Tryhards tryin so hard. Say "buy and large" some more jackass.

Id rather have heard Moot from 4chan on his show. That would have been awesome.

Still an awesome show after that fruitloop.    And JAZ got through !!!   Needs more time traveler batshit crazy callers to call up.

Art is a master.
George, pack it up buddy.

Yo yo.

Not sure if there was a post/thread for this or not. But apparently the few uploads on youtube Ive found of MITD have been found and removed.  Wondering do we still msg keith in email, or would a thread be a more appropriate place?

Running the TC room, im constantly streaming AB stuff via youtube/soundcloud link. And so whenever someone uploads a copy of the new show, it shows up on my list of available videos to play in there.  Since I dont really wanna stream archive MITD shows in there, was wondering if i can redirect those links Art's way.

Right you are, Kham. If there's room for more than one window open on your device, go for it. It's a whole new audience for Art Bell, and some of the new listeners can talk in three places or more at once.

I just didn't realize how critical this forum is to my mental health, so anything I can do to keep it up and thriving is a priority.

That's all well and good but the forum went down during the first show, along with both chats being down.  So yes, people did enjoy a backup room to shoot the shit in while the forum got restored.
Thats basically what its for.    One egg out of the basket type thing :)
Certainly not meant to fracture or deplete attention.  If you cant handle doing both, dont. If you can, awesome.     I will certainly be posting in the live thread as well as the live chat room. So its all good in the ArtBell Hood !

Well I still maintain mine as well.  Posting here is fine during the show, but some people would like to interact in realtime so nothing wrong with having a spot for that.  I just promised I wouldn't promote it :P

I actually use both, the Tinychat room and the Live Thread.     Just sometimes posts fly by and its hard to post replies to them in time :)

That first night tho, thread was straight on FIRE!!

Yeah I got no problems with her, I just wanted to fit in a joke about the Hawass clothing line that Hancock was referring to.  :)      In fact I always waited for her 'HI ART" after her introduction.
