It looks like closing time at the Coast Gab Bar & Grill. I always seem to miss happy hour. I'm not one to drink alone, so I'll call it a night. Bartender, pour me one for the road.

"Airplane" would be more cheery than tonight's show, Saucy. Heck "Air*port*" would be more cheery. He's doing his people are acting grumpy and nasty these days routine. Pour me some sauce, Saucy.

It's the Numbers Lady. I may need some Colt .45 and Mad Dog 20/20 to get through this one.

Noory: "Can events be spelled out in numerology?"

It sounds like I picked a bad time to give up drinking.

Oh man, I've not seen anyone mention it making me think that I'm hearing things and going crazy, but I used to hear the shows in podcasts and hear these click click click and it just grinded on my nerves. It also gave a reason as to why he seemed oblivious to the conversation at hand.

It makes it easy for him to find those obscure facts from Wiki that he brings up at awkward times during conversations with the guests. Never mind that they refer to something that was said ten or more minutes ago.

Guest Voice: "The ET turned to me and said...."
Noory Voice (interrupting): "The pilot had type A blood, not type B like we thought."

OMG!! Is there no one present who has not been infected by some form of GNS? Please raise you hand..hmm. I don't see any hands!!!

Based on this show, LMH sounds like a good antidote to GNS infections. BTW, did you post on another related board?

Will the god-awful Noory's mouse clicking still be there?

Are you saying that he surfs the web during the shows? Perish the thought! ;-)

LMH replacing Noory would put the show in god-tier, but we all know that's not gonna happen.

Maybe guests could tape their own shows before their appearances on Coast, and play the tapes on that night's program. Noory could serve as the emcee, introducing each bit.

Noory Voice: "Linda will now play her interview with a man who saw a cow beamed up by a UFO. I'll be enjoying my ham and cheese on rye."

Holy crap! aside from the nauseating sound of it, you're absolutely right..he does come across like some kind of authoritarian when he says that.  What I'd like to know, is how the word zero, referring to the number 0, of course, comes out ZEIRO?  OUCH, OUCH, OUCH!!

LOL I'm gonna listen for that one and add "Feb" and "geesh/geeze!" to the list. Geesh, is it that hard to pronounce the second month of the year? Does the radio announcer say "libe" for "library" too?

Noory Voice: "Geeze, I had six overdue libe books in Feb."

Just let LMH host the whole show. She's doing all of the interviewing and talking. Her segment about the secret unmanned space plane deserves a big gold star. It demonstrates the potential of Coast.

Mr. Kelly from the UK..he was one of the more prominent ones, huh;)..just that there were so many microbiologists--all in a row--who met with sudden, mysterious and deadly circumstances that can only spell-out FOUL PLAY!

It would be good to separate the wheat from the chaff to discover what suspicious incidents were possible homicides. Do you recall the gruesome murders of the young foreign students in the UK about a year or so ago? They were studying pathogens IIRC. The story went off the news radar screen.

So far, he's said around five of the catch phrases (a drinking game, like "Hi Bob", in the making?). Here's one that I can't believe that I forgot. He says, "good for you", in a very condescending and patronizing tone of voice. It's said in the way that a grandfather would say it to a mentally disabled teen who just got a job at McDonalds. The guest could be an accomplished and respected nuclear physicist who just discovered life-changing, paradigm-shifting atomic processes.

Guest Voice: "What I found will change how we view the nature of reality, itself."
Noory Voice: "Good for you-ou!"

Saucy, you gotta wonder when you look at the Kelly case in the UK. I'm not saying that all of the late doctors were "suicided", but the Kelly case raises more red flags than a May Day parade.

I agree, Quayle is damn entertaining. He's to 'doom and gloom' what Richie Hoagland is to ' next great discovery of mankind.' Something is always just around the corner with these two.
Is it disaster or disclosure? Tune in to find out...

Unlike Hoagland, I can actually listen to Quayle... Too bad open lines are screened though... the incoherency of the calls would give Quayle some competition.

I always get Quayle and Howard Bloom mixed up. I still think they're the same person.

You're right; some of the guests sound alike. I sometimes confuse guests because of the subjects they discuss. For example, I mix up Horn and Marsulli. They're in the Steve Quayle camp. They're believers in gigantic demonic Nephilim in the guise of whatever. The latter of the aforementioned two guests thinks that Mothman is a demon.

With apologies to fans of the Fab Four, Hoagland is like the fifth Beatle. He seems to be on more than any other guest, the George Martin of space exploration conspiracy theories.

Are you into self flagellation, Supernormal?  I couldn't force myself to tune in to that mess tonight.  No wonder you feel punchy!

Quayle's entertaining. He has a great imagination. Some network should hire him to write and produce sci-fi programs to replace reality TV shows. Uh, I meant documentaries. ;-)

Quayle: "The woo-woo's about to hit the doo-doo."

Some of his woo-woo sounds like doo-doo to me. He do do that woo-woo we love. Sorry, the psychedelic doom and gloom on steroids can make you punch drunk.

Quayle: "I've talked with multiple four-star generals."

Just how many does he know? Are there even enough of them to meet the definition of "multiple" as the word is commonly used?

Noory: "They [bad guys or the Illuminati] pulled the legs off spiders when they were kids." (no kidding)

I agree.."remarkable" is an ear bleeder, as are the others listed!  I also found that his response, "(that) all by itself..." in lieu of an intelligent one, was one of his favorite evasive strategies. I haven't heard it lately; but, it's bound to start up again at any time;) I call that one--a teeth gnasher!!

I'm still at the head-shaking stage. I'll turn off my radio if he drives me to the teeth-gnashing stage. Now, some of his callers make me weep and wail, though. You can thank triple-screening for that.

I predict that Steve Quayle will say that the blonde Bigfoot is a demon and/or a giant. He's talking about the oil spill now. I'm quite surprised that he put a pessimistic spin on it. ;-) Not surprisingly, he mentioned the verse, about the sea turning to blood, in the Book of Revelation.

It might be less unwieldy to make separate threads for each month of shows. I realize that June is almost over.

Noory and his guest talked about the BP oil spill during the first segment and were coming up with BP phrases like "bitter petroleum" and "bad people" (Noory's phrase). Sadly, "boring program" fits much of the time. The oil spill is one of the worst environmental disasters in world history. However, we can get coverage and reporting from all kinds of different news providers. It's fine to discuss such an oceanic calamity, but it needn't be the main topic of most segments. There are more appropriate venues for that. JMO

It never fails. Whitley mentioned human mutilations, something new to me, and Noory quickly changed the subject. How does he have such a "gift" or knack for derailing trains of thought? Do you think that he ruins conversations, with *new* information, on pupose?

I recall Noory being better when he first started as well, Supernormal. I asked if anyone else shared the same recollection in another thread on here.

But yeah, MV, it would be a good idea to get some early shows and listen again.

It's good to hear that other people noticed that. It seems like the callers were better in the past too. MV's idea to compare and contrast the shows is one that would help us to answer a lot of questions about just when things went so wrong. I think that the ouija board program marked a turning point.

i do believe i recall hearing of some glitches here and there after the new decade began, but i have absolutely no recollection of what those glitches were.  they must not have been particularly significant.

They were a bit like not remembering to spring forward or fall back when it's time to change your clocks and watches during daylight savings time. IIRC, they were cosmetic, not a lot of serious things. Noory might have a point about solar activity having an impact on society within the next few years. IMO, we need to plan for a possible disaster just to be on the safe side.

This is one of those vicious circles.  Credible people don't want to go on c2c because of the quality issue - no quality guests lowers the quality of the show - then even fewer people want to come on . . . .

That's a perfect explanation. The same kind of process likely applies to sponsors too.

The moment an opportunity presents itself for Ian to do a show on the paranormal from different angle, or involving fresh information, or where the guest sound somewhat believable, or where maybe somebody bothered to bring something to the table beyond a blurry picture, Ian will take it.  How quickly we forget "the horse guy". or the now historic channelling of Micheal Jackson, or the Mongolian Death Worm.  Paranormal?  You bet.  Same old recycled crap?  Not on Ian's watch.

That may very well be true. Still, I can't help but think that Ian is averse to the paranormal, although his show with Linda Godfrey (ages ago) was great. OTOH, Michael Jackson's ghost and kinky robot sex ? Not on my watch. ;-)

Don't pilots say any landing that you can walk away from is a good landing?  Maybe that is true about sex, too.

I gotta draw the line at the Creature from the Black Lagoon. That fish smell is a deal-breaker too.

i think the best era of radio (at least in my 30 year lifetime) was in the late 90s.  rush was still fresh and exciting, art was at the top of his game, and phil hendrie was still interested in making people laugh.  people were still allowed to say offensive things on the radio, and it wasn't yet as consolidated as it is today.  radio was just better.

We're about the same age. I'm a relative latecomer to Coast, as I discovered it several years back. My work schedule changed, and I was so pleased and surprised to find a program about the paranormal that aired late at night. I found the show by accident on the car radio while perusing the vampire shift offerings. I didn't listen to AM or late-night fare before my hours turned topsy-turvy. During the last six months, I've been skipping many of the shows. The topics haven't appealed to me. BTW, it seems like Noory was better when I first heard him.

I don't get the point of that forum.  If the guy is just writing what is being talked about there are better options, like maybe a blog or something.

It's for folks who don't have radios. ;-) To each their own.

Saturday night's show sounds like another bore. Ian's first guest, who was on last week, will discuss the bad call in our World Cup game against Slovenia. His main guest will discuss the ecosystem and the oil spill. When was the last time that Ian did a full show on a paranormal subject? I wish that our local station would replace his disappointing and dull programs with "Somewhere In Time". On the next episode, Art's guest claims that she had sexual encounters with a reptilian alien. Sure, it sounds crazy. It beats monotony, though.
