You made your opinion about Bush very clear-Obama is infinitely worse.

Correct.  I made my opinion about Bush very clear and there's nothing defensive about it.  I think Bush is an idiot.  I think his draft-dodging chicken hawk buddy Dick Cheney should be behind bars.

And you made your opinion about Obama very clear - you think he's infinitely worse than Bush.

So what?  I'll say it again.  We're both Americans.  We both pay our taxes.  We're both entitled to our opinions.

The question remains.  What is Coast to Coast AM going to be?  True to the vision of Art Bell?  Or just another political opinion show?

Wait.  Nevermind.  That matter has already been decided. Premiere, apparently, is quite happy with it.

It is what it is.

I am certainly not going to defend That Idiot Noory on any issue, but everyone is taking about Obama because our dim-witted president is the worst disaster to hit this country since .....well, ever.

That's your opinion and, as an American, you are entitled to it.  Personally, I'm not too happy with George W. Bush and his war on Iraq that killed over 3,000 young Americans, wounded and permanently crippled many more,  created an ally for Iran and bankrupted the country, leaving it teetering on the verge of total economic collapse in 2008.  I'm an American and I'm entitled to that opinion.

Obama's approval rating, according to Gallup, is now 44%.  George W. Bush's approval rating hit a low of  25% Oct 31-Nov 2, 2008, according to Gallup.

You think Obama is the worst ever.  I think G.W. Bush was the worst ever.  So what?  We're both Americans.  We're both entitled to our opinions.  I have friends who feel as you do.  We're still friends.  We still have backyard barbeques.

The question remains.  Ninety percent of AM radio is OBAMA, OBAMA, OBAMA 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.  Same with FOX News.  Does the show Art Bell created to discuss things that go bump in the night have to be devoted to OBAMA OBAMA OBAMA OBAMA as well?

AM radio and FOX were having a field day with Bill Clinton and Monica Lewinsky in the 1990s. 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.  Art gave us a break from it overnight with a guy allegedly flying over Area 51.  Mell's hole.  Art gluing his lips together during a commercial break.  Art falling into a hole where his porch used to be during a commercial break.

This is the fundamental question.  What is Coast to Coast going to be?  True to what Art Bell created it to be?  Or just another hack political opinion show hosted by George Noory?  Judging by the number of C2C listeners (Bell vs. Noory), the public has already decided which format they prefer.

It`s more than left v. right .It`s about as Obama himself said -fundamently changing the country.I don`t mind a little interruption of angels and bigfoot when it comes to what`s happening to the Constitution.

That's what Rush Limbaugh talks about for 3 hours a day.  And Glenn Beck.  And Laura Ingraham.  And countless other local and national shows on AM radio, 24 hours a day.  It's what FOX news talks about every evening during Prime Time.  Turn on AM radio and FOX and you're going to hear OBAMA, OBAMA, OBAMA, OBAMA, OBAMA, OBAMA, OBAMA 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

That's not enough?  Coast to Coast has to be devoted to Obama bashing too?  Where do we stop?  The Miss Universe pageant?  The Price is Right?  QVC?  Sesame Street?  Suspend all regular radio and television program and have people scream BENGHAZI!!!!! 24 hours a day.

I may be a minority here, but four hours of some guy harping on Obama with Dumb Ass saying, "there's no doubt about it" every few minutes isn't my idea of amusement - which is what C2C used to be about.  Amusement.  Fantasy.  Something strange to take your mind off whatever was happening in the real world.

Of course they are.  I think we hold the same beliefs.  I also think we have a right to say what we want about those guests as well.  I just wish Coast was less political than it has become.

Exactly.  Earlier in his career Art did shows on politics and got sick of it.  That's why he created Coast to Coast AM, to explore the paranormal, the unexplained and anything else off the beaten path.  It would be nice if George would stick to Art's original vision and leave the politics out of Coast.  If we want to hear politics, all we have to do is turn on Rush or 90% of the other stuff on what's left of AM radio.  If we want to hear Obama bashing we can watch FOX.  If we want to hear GOP bashing we can watch MSNBC.

The facts are these George:  Bush was elected twice.  Obama was elected twice.  Someone else will be elected in November 2016.   Those are facts.  Get over it.  Move on.  Talk about the paranormal, the unexplained and the just plain weird and forget the politics.

When it comes to politics, right or left, one would do well to remember the words of Inspector Harry Callahan:  "Well, opinions are like assholes, everybody has one."

Dumb Ass's guest tonight is Dinesh D'Souza.  D'Souza might be headed to prison for 10 to 16 months for making illegal campaign contributions.  He's going to be sentenced September 23rd.  D'Souza divorced his wife.  Maybe D'Souza will become the wife of some 300-lb inmate?

I couldn't believe I heard it but he sure did compare himself to Walter Winchell.  Which goes to show you George either doesn't know his ass from a hole in the ground or his ego has finally gone out of control.  Both, most likely.

Winchell was basically a gossip columnist, who became a notorious red-baiter, supporting Joe McCarthy after WWII.  He was well known for his revelations of the sexual dalliances of the rich and famous of his day as well.   Some in this forum might remember he was the narrator of the 60s tv program "The Untouchables."   He died in 1972 --  a very lonely guy -- evidently only one person attended his funeral.

Winchell was wildly famous in his day.  He used to hang out at the 21 club with Frank Sinatra and all the biggest entertainers of the day.  By the end of his career, no newspaper would carry his column.  He was reduced to standing on street corners handing out mimeographed copies of his column, for free, to anyone who would take one.  His daughter was the only one to attend his funeral.  Another weird but interesting fact about Winchell, he would drink a lot of coffee before doing his radio program so his bladder would be full.  He did this to give his voice that extra sound of "urgency" during the broadcast.  Weird but true.

I violated my ethics and turned on Dumb Ass tonight.  After the child pornography story, Dumb Ass decided to dispense some medical advice.  It seems some doctors don't prescribe aspirin for atrial fibrillation or, as Dumb Ass calls it, Atrial FIB-U-lation.  Instead they're prescribing coumadin (generic name Warfarin).  WHAT?  Warfarin for atrial fibrillation instead of aspirin?  Dumb Ass right away declared a conspiracy.  "This sounds like BIG PHARMA!" declared Dumb Ass.

Then Dumb Ass talked to his turmeric pusher, Christian Wilde for a discussion on BIG PHARMA promoting expensive drugs for Atrial FIB-U-lation instead of good old aspirin.

Dear Dumb Ass:

I have been taking Warfarin, the generic version of Coumadin, for five years for Atrial Fibrillation.  For your information, Dumb Ass, warfarin is almost as cheap as aspirin.  Got that, Dumb Ass?  Warfarin is dirt cheap.  And it's very effective.  Very.  I get a blood test every four weeks so my doctor can modify the dosage if necessary.  Again, it's CHEAP.  It's almost as CHEAP as aspirin.  And it's far MORE EFFECTIVE than aspirin for atrial fibrillation. Cardiologists have been prescribing it for years.  It's THE recommended drug for afib.  And for good reason.  It's effective.  And its cheap.

Let us review, Dumb Ass, so you're clear on this.  There is no BIG PHARMA conspiracy here.  Coumadin and especially its warfarin equivalent, is a dirt cheap drug.  It's almost a give-away by the companies that make it.  And it works a hell of a lot better than aspirin for preventing strokes without burning holes in your stomach the way aspirin can.  Go that, Dumb Ass?

Finally, Dumb Ass, will you stop giving BOGUS medical advice?  Where do you get off giving medical advice?  Where did you get your MD?  Dumb Ass School?  The only doctorate you have is a well-earned Doctor of Dumb Assery.

This is encouraging.  A Canadian host this weekend and at least one Canadian guest.  Perhaps Coast to Coast AM will move its home base permanently to Toronto and become Canada's embarrassment instead of a US embarrassment.

That would be an even trade, I think.  They gave us Justin Bieber, we give them Coast to Coast AM.

Oh no.  They are ridiculing George and Coast to Coast AM again at http://www.stupidcaveman.com/

George will not be happy.

America is seeing its worst measles outbreak since 2000.  This year's 288 cases are the most cases in any year since the disease was declared eliminated in 2000.

The vaccine against measles is effective, and the disease was declared eliminated from the United States in 2000. Still, as travelers from abroad bring the virus back into the United States, outbreaks persist among those who have not been vaccinated. When some refuse to immunize themselves and their children, everyone is at risk. Measles claims roughly 122,000 lives annually around the world.

I am not suggesting you are directly responsible for this outbreak, Mr. Noory.   However, you brag about being heard on 570 radio stations.  And, from time to time, you tell your listeners that vaccines are bad, that you don't believe in them.  Anyone who listens to open lines is painfully aware that a significant portion of your listeners aren't very bright.  And when you tell them vaccines are bad they believe you.  They don't have themselves vaccinated.  They don't have their children vaccinated.

You are not qualified to dispense medical advice, GEORGE.  You're dispensing QUACKERY.   When people believe you and follow your advice it could potentially lead to great harm.  Here's some good advice.  Why don't you retire and let a responsible person take over what's left of Art's show?  Someone who is responsible and won't dispense advice he's not qualified to give?

You would be doing America and the world a huge favor.

The CDC is reporting that Measles cases are up 20% due to unvaccinated Americans bringing it back to the US after visiting Europe.

Thanks, George, for telling your gullible audience that vaccines are bad.

That's a 20% increase in just measles.  Whooping cough is also up.  Thanks, George.  Nice work.  Where did you say you went to medical school?

There are many here that would gladly listen to a skipping record of Art saying "Number 9" over and over than to listen to Noory so ......

Including me.  I've got  two Art Bell streams preset on my internet radio.  I never listen to Noory anymore, no matter who the guest is.  The guest could be Amelia Earhart, telling how she survived for 77 years on a remote, uninhabited island and George would sleeptalk his way through the interview making it totally unlistenable.

Why did you land on that island?  Did you need gas?
Did you encounter some kind of portal?
No doubt about it.
Did angels help you fly your plane?
Did you see Atlantis?
No doubt about it.
Did your navigator die?  Did he die a horrible death?  Tell us how he died.
Did you see Gilligan?
The Skipper too?
The millionaire and his wife?
The movie star?
The professor and Mary Ann?
Ohhhhhhhhhh, I dropped my cards!

Yeah but almost in the same sentence he was saying no one should ever have to go without health care, implying a more liberal ideal.  I don't the he knows what he is.  The guy's never done a minute of rigorous political or any other kind of analysis except choosing which mustache wax to use.

You could probably ask him anything and he'd say, "there's no doubt about it."

Guys, Noory IS right wing, remember he kept talking about the libertarian candidates, he's supported libertarians for over a decades.  On radio, liberals are the minority, there are very very few liberals in main stream media, the medium is hostile to them, and the listeners who spend time with AM radio are all right wing.  Left wingers don't listen to AM radio, in fact, few even listen to any radio.  But if anyone here thinks Noory is pro Clinton, they are mistaken, and Noory doesn't even understand most issues well enough to even know what he believes.  The very fact that he gives Alex Jones free air play is proof of where he thinks he stands.  Premrat wouldn't tolerate a liberal on their network.

George is definitely right of center.  A couple of nights ago he was talking about how Obamacare is "all screwed up" and he grunted his approval when his guest said, "no one ever accused Obama of being financially responsible."  Of course, attributing a political stance to George is analogous to attributing political views to a box of Hostess Ding Dongs.

Tonight's guest - Paul von Ward, "cosmologist."  I looked for von Ward's credentials on his website but he doesn't seem to list any.  If he has a Ph.D. in astronomoy or theoretical physics, wouldn't he list it on his website?

Gosh, could it be?  Is Coast to Coast giving us another load of pseudoscience tonight from another unqualified QUACK?

Presented here, for your Friday night reading pleasure, a portion of an exchange between Mr. Noory and  Mr. Jones wherein Mr. Noory describes himself as "a trailblazer trying to wake up the American people."

Jones: "Of course, the government was bringing in the narcotics.  That's now public knowledge.  So George, you get where I'm going with this.  What I want to ask you is, do you agree with me or what's your take on have we reached the crossroads, the jump point, the event horizon?  Here I think really in the next few years the quickening where its all out in the open and humanity has that choice and we either wake up to how much trouble we're in and have courage to push the envelope and talk about this as you did really as a trailblazer and I'm not kissing your hind end it's true.  We need other people to stand up like you did, George and lead the way or I think we're doomed.  George Noory."

Noory: "Well, Alex, there's no question. You know what you've been doing, what we've been doing on Coast to Coast and we've been trailblazers trying to wake up the American people that what's happening is just not right. It's just not normal . . . I don't know what's happening Alex, I don't know why this seems to be moving along so quickly. But ever since 9-11 it has just been roaring like a train out of control and we can see it in everything that's happening today. Whether it's we want to control your guns, we want to know what you're doing on the internet, we want to know who you're sending text messages to, it's just totally out of control. And I mean they're even putting little chips in pills so the good doctor can decide if you're taking your medication. What business is it, you know, for him . . ."

Jones: "that wirelessly transmits like you're a prisoner. Well, they use pharmacia to get us addicted and then they use that to now make us wireless prisoners with microchips in our intestines reporting back through the wireless internet. I mean, this is the technocratic takeover, George."

Noory: "Oh yeah, there's no doubt about it. And it's just as they said, it's just rolling along at a pace that is totally uncontrollable. I think something else is going on here Alex and that they feel as if they're out of time. They've got to do this quickly. They've been doing this the last couple of years. You and I have felt them speed this up. Ever since that day where Zbigniew Brzezinski was talking to the Council of Foreign Relations people saying, they're aware, meaning us, people, we're aware of what they plan to do and we need to speed things up."

Jones: "Wow, that's chilling . . ."

Listen to the entire exchange in this swell video clip and hear George screw up the pronunciation of ZIG-BA-NOO Brzezinski.  ZIG-BA-NOO.  It's a hoot. And then there's Jones talk about "the wireless internet."  The WIRED internet is okay.  It's that damned WIRELESS internet that is going to enslave us.

Enjoy!  Have a ZIG-BA-NOO evening!

Did the guest just say Pope Francis was on trial in international court for child trafficking?  And did Noory let this pass without question?

George dropped his 3x5 cards on the floor and was busy picking them up, otherwise he would have said one of the following:

a) That's so true
b) Does that have anything to do with angels?
c) Why did they build Stonehenge?

The Lt. Colonel said "one of his dreamers" dreamed Malaysian Flight 370 was on the ground in Kazakhstan. Kind of strange that a guy with multiple graduate degrees, who describes himself as "an achiever," would mispronounce Kazakhstan and think there is any significance at all to someone having a dream about it. Some of his dreamers probably dream of pink elephants drinking martinis too.

I turned it off.  Silence was more entertaining.

More Twilight Zone tonight?  Why this obsession with a 50 year-old television series?  How many times can they talk about William Shatner being terrorized by a monster on an airplane wing?

George is having an "economic roundtable" tonight.  How much you want to bet it goes something like this:

The economy is going to crash and burn.
The dollar will be worthless.
Suffering will ensue.

And then . . .

Yellowstone's super volcano will erupt.
A massive asteroid will hit Earth.
Suffering will ensue.

Yes.
#24
Please tell me I'm not the only one who heard this . . . .

A caller asked George if Malaysian Flight 370 could have landed in the ocean.

George said it would float for awhile but probably not long enough to launch the lifeboats?

George: I don't even think they have lifeboats.

You're right, George.  No lifeboats.  Pan American tried attaching lifeboats to their 747s in the 1970s but it didn't work out. The lifeboats and davits were severely buffeted by the wind during takeoff and were quickly ripped off both sides of the aircraft.

Looked at the guest's website.  Abductee.  Psychic.  Spoon bender.  This should be a real trainwreck tonight.   A really, really funny train wreck.

Dear George:

We know you and your wingnut friends don't believe in vaccinations.  Watch this video by Penn and Teller, George.  Unlike the moronic conspiratorial crap you dispense on C2C every night, this video contains the truth.

Well, George did it again last night.  The EMP guy said 90 percent of Americans would be dead within a year if the power went out.

George:  How would they die?

Do George and the producers really believe in this crap they're peddling every night?  Or do they realize they're shoveling shit and just laugh all the way to the bank?

God help us if he's developing some sort of conspiracy theory about the systematic removal of Coast guests, and I can't wait to hear it! And surely, if it's true, it can only be a matter of time before these unseen killers give up on the monkeys and go straight for the organ grinder. Sit by for that.

That statement made my day.  Thanks!  ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
