REGARDING PHONE LINES

I'm having some compatibility issues but hope to resolve them by showtime tonight or tomorrow. We're working on it.

We WILL have them soon. Sorry for the delay, but either way, I WILL be live and presenting new episodes and not deterred from broadcasting by technical issues regarding phones.

DS

Pardon me for going on topic, I know that is frowned upon. Tonight's show has a reincarnationist on. Anyone have any real proof they have lived a past life?

That would be very interesting.

Thanks!

Don't mind me. I like smileys. We need a machine gun smiley.

What the fuck happened here last night?! This place is a goddamn mess. There's some guy asleep in the bathtub. There's red plastic Solo cups EVERYWHERE and someone has been doing lines on my favorite Falkie portrait.

I'm really so very happy that GoodMV aka Liberace managed to introduce Vincent to us.
I'm really looking forward to his (Vincent's) podcasts. That might bring us some serious dose of healing.

praise GoodMV

Vincent is in the House. Let's be nice to him.
He just registered yesterday, though he has another old account with only one post in 2008.

Welcome Vincent.
I really enjoyed your interview with Liberchi yesterday.
You were spreading good positive vibes. Hopefully you get lots' of love and support here.
Very nice warm voice. Hopefully you will be doing co-hosting with David Schrader from time to time, as per conversation yesterday.

ps: stay away from the falkie thread. you have been warned.

Noory started that stupid floater format, since his attention span is too reduced to handle a single guest for over 3 hours now it seems.
It appears the format has been forced on the c2c guest host now too.
Even David on his MITD show seems to be doing that multiple guests thing too, maybe used to it as a former c2c guest host?
im betting good dave is just going though  guests already booked for heather (before arts death and all this high drama). he has looked into them and found that the majority of them do not deserve the 3 hours. thus the split show.

At least NY is pretty as a state. Illinois ... imagine hell as a flat plain where even the corn and soybeans are out to get you, much less the state troopers trolling for tickets. Then there is the bureaucracy and retirement plans for the governors usually involves mandatory prison time. It's the only place I know of where, upon leaving, one can honestly say "thank Christ I've made it to Wisconsin".
but its expensive. sales taxes from 8.5% to 10% , and no thats not nyc (get the rope). property taxes are outrageous, most state and local taxes are outrageous. most of the populace is poor, because those that could afford to move have for the most part.
i once figured my tax burden on a weekly basis. between all taxes, i was getting hit for 60% of my paycheck on average. 25% zapped right out of my check (on average) and the rest were misc taxes such as sales and fuel.

Heather Wade claims to be back on the air on the 28th of May. Here is the Question for everyone. Did she hire Falkie to run her computer systems?
perhaps vandeven enterprises ?

Not to be mean to Illinois, but coming from Missouri, crossing the bridge it immediately feels like you've entered the land of oppression and sadness.
move to ny . illnoise is a paradise compared to that.

time to extend copyrights , again. this is annoying.
Quote from: wired magazine
ALMOST EXACTLY 20 years ago, Congress passed the Sonny Bono Copyright Term Extension Act, which extended the term of existing copyrights by 20 years. The Act was the 11th extension in the prior 40 years, timed perfectly to assure that certain famous works, including Mickey Mouse, would not pass into the public domain.

also annoying :
having to edit the post multiple times to remove extraneous tags i did put in the post to begin with.

Good Morning All,

Good Lord I am half way done reading here and I can say this much. I really hate stupid people. Welcome newbies.
Praise Liberace, if that is still a thing, I still have 22 pages to go so perhaps MV1 has changed his name again. Looking forward to tomorrow's gabcast with Liberace Michael VanDeven (spelling?)  ;)

Dave, I hope you see this.

I'm just listening to your show from two nights ago, talking about the man you saw at The Stanely.  I have to ask.. was he Ed Edwards? If you're up on John Cameron's book and the doc "It Was Him", he claims that Ed Edwards was the killer of Jon Benet Ramsey.   Ed Edwards was alive in 2007.  (I can't recall when he was arrested, though.  Also, I don't really believe he killed her. But I thought I would ask).
email him dave@midnightinthedesert.com

I looked into it because there is a guy around here that goes around and reports places for sport. A business can have a single radio playing out of a single speaker in a single room without paying. Next level up is something like Pandora for business where you pay but can't choose the songs for like $1500 per year.
well my work is ok then. fm radio over a boom box from 1978 and the left channel doesnt work.

to mr vara:
please consider that keith was paying for those lines. and since he was paying for those lines, he can elect to shut them down as he chooses. perhaps you might have thought of that before bringing heather onboard, and set her up with phone lines YOU were paying for , and thusly keith cant shut off.
also consider not slamming a few down before you go live.
thanks

when you build a low power computer, and you cant find a decent PSU to power it. so you  end up installing a bunch of fans and a mechanical hard drive to get the PSU to turn on (in this case a corsair PSU, lowest wattage available).
specs:
itx n3150 cpu/board combo (6W processor)
i doubt the board/processor draws more than 8W at full load (10W with 2 fans going), not enough to keep the PSU from cycling on/off ...

all the shitty cheap psu's i have power it fine, but having had terrible luck with those, id rather not use them.

Enjoyed Dave's show last night, the Pam interview was fascinating. Didn't really care much for Mike's stuff and turned it off half hour in, each to our own. Good work though Dave :)
just say no to the flakie thread though. you have been warned.
