Don’t know if anyone here listens to old Art still. Here’s an episode of his show Area 2000. It’s from before Dreamland. Don’t think this is in any of the torrents or has ever really circulated.

am sorry to have to announce this but I will not be on Tonight or any other night, yes I am going to hang it up. Whoever this crazy person is, they are not stopping and it has come to the point that we as a Family do not feel it is worth the risk. While I think the person or persons are after me, my Wife and now my Daughter are really scared, the other night after the latest incident my Daughter was off in the corner of her bed scared to death as the Police cars came screaming up. I will not put my Family through this. As you all know I dearly love what I do but not at the expense of never ending Terrorism. I want to thank those of you who have shown so much support and it has been my joy, short as it has been to have cracked that Mic open for a last time. This was a Family decision. The girls stuck with me and still would but if one of them were harmed because of what I love doing my life would be over.

Art

Sad to see him go, but I get it. It was a fun run.

Didn't Keith start as his webmaster in like 94?

I'm so happy that he has reclaimed this song.

Caught it on KXL in Portland. Was great hearing it on the radio. Neat hearing the local announcer bring it in at the bottom of the hour.
#6
I'm happy about KXL as I live in Portland and e-mailed them. It's also worth noting that it's Clyde Lewis' home station and his show goes to midnight here...

I'd love to hear Art Bell from the 80s even if it is some of his political stuff.

I'd really love to hear this as well. I know Art has some tapes and I'd guess some people who collect airchecks probably have tapes as well but they'll probably never surface. Makes me sad that this stuff gets lost to the world.

Are you sure this wasn't George Knapp's story? Or maybe they're similar?

Knapp had Lear on one of his early local TV talk shows, which led to Bob Lazar and the whole greater thing.

No, I know Knapp had that whole thing going on. Art mentions it in the Art of Talk and I think in the Time article from last year as well.

He's said in a few interviews that John Lear was his first paranormal guest and that the reaction to that show prompted him to have Lear on more and more and it grew from there.

Don't know the year, though.

I agree. Downloadable mp3s would be great. I've been using an app called iTube to listen to the show at night.

Jimmy is getting there. I still think he needs to cut down on some of the side conversations (especially at the beginning) and get to actual content. Once you get a following & history like Art, you can do this, but until then, stay away. I used to listen to a show called Alex Merklingers (sp) mysteries of the mind ~10 years ago - http://www.mysteriesofthemind.com. Good host, but I think that chatter did him in with his audience.

I actually like the side chatter at the beginning. It gives the show a more intimate feel for me. To each their own though.
Really though, he needs to make these downloadable. I've missed a bunch of episodes at this point and have no desire to stream them on YouTube.

what if he didn't?

I was just curious. O-4 in under 10 years isn't bad at all but maybe he had a different spin on it?

Don't get me wrong, Noory is still the worst.

and many callers also thank Noory for his "service"
Somehow I don't think they realize he was only a public relations officer working at a desk, who didn't make Lt Commander after 10 years during peacetime  before retiring right before the start of the first Gulf War. ;)

Did you serve in the military?

Oops, that show - Feb 9 1994 - was up for deletion. It's really 9/3/93 + excerpts from 9/2/94 we already have.

That Art and Ramona Triangle Sighting show has been around forever, and when I finally decided to scrutinize it, it was curious what I found. The Triangle portion plus intro, I realized, dates to late Aug/early Sept. 1993, which you can tell by the news and other items in it. The Coast listing has a Lear show on 9/4/93, but that was a Saturday, so it seems they meant 9/3/93 (Fri->Sat).  The Triangle part and intro with Lear go for about 38 minutes. Then, the rest of the show after that could be eliminated - it was the Sept 2 1994 Lear show we already have, but with 5-10 minute interview segments chopped out here and there (go figure).  I redated the good portion to 9/3/93.  It is really a cr@pshoot what some of these shows really contain(ed)....   weirdness, junk, and nice surprises.

In other words you can remove Feb 9 1994 from your archives because you have its contents elsewhere already.

Thanks! Hundreds of hours went into fixing errors, resolving dates, splitting/joining, purging commercials, finding/synching best version of a show, etc. - on my part.  So no problem, it is useful to hear about anything else found, which it surely will be.

Whoa! Awesome detective work!!!

Also thanks for purging some of those commercials. There were a bunch of shows that I never listened to because I didn't want to deal with all the commercials in a 5 hour show! I'm listening to the 1997-1-21 show for the first time ever today!

A whole shitload of typos and errors? Whatever man, if youre finding so many you can go ahead and correct them. Just make sure you're not spelling Fukushima fukishima

I haven't seen any errors yet… I think he/she thinks that all their misspellings and misdated files are correct?

Was just asked to be on the show next week.  I need to listen to an episode, but as the 8-ball would say, "signs point to yes."  Any insight into style?  (Saying this with full knowledge that Jimmy has been on this thread :) .)

He's very conversational in his interview style so there's a real laid back feel to it, but he will definitely press you if he so desires. I think you two would have fun talking about Richard C. Hoagland...

Good news/bad news:
Good news = Thanks to brugvu/jan, I have even more corrections / new/better shows to add before the torrent releases.
Bad news = It will be delayed by another week or so, maybe more.. I'm going to be out of town for a while so I wont get too much done.

But what's another week when ya'll have been waiting 6 months lol.

Thanks for the kind words, I have done this project so people can enjoy it. I love hearing that there are people honestly enjoying the shows that I put together.

I have no problem waiting. These new shows added are likely extremely rare so these will DEFINITELY be worth it.

Wednesday night is "Give Yourself a Break, Get OFF Coast to Coast" night. Jimmychurchradio.com, linked through artbell.com,  is having a show  MAR 19, 2014, Wed. 7-10pm PST  LIVE with RICHARD SAUDER, Ph.D UNDERGROUND BASES. And Jimmy plays White Snake music during his program, NOT old farts music. When I listen to this program Wed.-Fri.  I usually get my fix. Just in case you aren't familiar with it, Keith Rowland (Art Bell's former webmaster) runs artbell.com and books the programming. Jimmy Church announces on his show that he's sitting in for Art Bell till Art returns.

The more people who turn away from C2C, the better the odds that the show will eventually cease to be. They're never going to salvage it after Snore took it down.

Definitely my favorite show on the Dark Matter Radio Network. Don't forget to link to his youtube page! https://www.youtube.com/user/KJCRFadeToBlack

Enjoying the show tonight. I love throwing this on and going about my evening routine. Wish it could be four nights a week, but I am totally okay with three if it keeps the quality up this high!

Jimmy,

Looking forward to the shows this week! Kaku just did an AMA on reddit the other day. There was a good question about string theory that he never addressed. I really think it'd be great if you asked him this question.

The question was: "A lot of physicists (particularly experimentalists) are adamant that "string theory is not science", because it has not, at present, made any new and testable predictions. How do you respond to that?"

And here's a link to the AMA: http://www.reddit.com/r/IAmA/comments/1ztgy9/im_dr_michio_kaku_a_physicist_co_founder_of/

Clyde was just talking about balls of light and booms that were heard here in the Pacific Northwest last night.  I experienced it as well. Around 10 p.m., I heard this incredible explosion that lasted for maybe 5 seconds and then a shorter one. Honestly, it was so powerful I thought Mt. Rainier had exploded. Both the dogs and I flew out of bed to check it out, and I saw nothing.  People are saying it was lightning, but I immediately checked the radars and there were no strikes anywhere around us.  I've lived in both Kansas and Oklahoma and experienced severe T-storms, and this did not sound like thunder at all.  :o

Is that what that was? I thought I heard something around then. I'm in the area as well.
