I watched the documentary last night. In my opinion they didn't focus on the right cases. None of the stories were even remotely paranormal.

When Davey was scouting for kickstarter backers initially, the line was that "This is going to be a visual companion to the books, for fans of the books, so the general public can see how strange these cases are." After the documentary came out and backers startd criticizing it, Davey's line was "Well the movie was never for the fans of the books, it was for the general public. Paranormal scares them away."

The documentary was a huge wasted opportunity.

I helped back his Missing 411 movie on Kickstarter, almost 2 years ago to the month. He finally announces a releases date, and starts selling pre-sale DVDs and Blu Rays on his website. None of the backers have gotten their copies yet, and the guy is already selling them to the general public.

He announces a release date of May 15, but "has no idea when the digital download" will be made available. WTF? Dude, it's 2017. I called Davey out on his BS on the Kickstarter page, and Oh Man did that set him off. After him allowing me to switch to the DVD from download, he sees my comments and emails me at 11:40 at night and tells me "Your DVD is being held because of your baseless claims" because I called him out for being money hungry (he doesn't sell his books anywhere else besides his website, and now the movie too) and for kicking us backers to the curb while trying to make even more money off the presales.

This guy's credibility is getting weaker and weaker. He finally calls me a coward for saying these things online. I replied back and said I'd say them to his face but, ya know, we live in different states. The whole conversation over almost a dozen emails is quite funny. He thinks he's going to change the world with his film. This thing won't even make a ripple.

George Knapp had Annie Wilder on a few years ago, she wrote a book called Trucker Ghost Stories. It had stories told to her by truck drivers and others who encountered odd things while driving around the US. It's a very good read.

Yes I've been contacted by someone who has been getting those shows, the update will include both old and new shows.

Willie if you need to fill any gaps of the MITD shows, I've got them all from my own stream caps. I think I only missed 3 shows due to the shitty stream. They're all edited down to 2 hr 58 min

but yeah.. that pic is gorgeous  ;)

I found it digging through the pictures in the mega torrent. Looks like something Art did at a seminar or something.

Gave it a 5, easily best show this week so far. I love when clearly debunked cases get brought up again. I'm proud of Art addressing this. The Malachi Martin thing I'm not sure of its probably BS but it was interesting. The ghost stories throughout the show, as well as Birnes semi debunking Corso, were both great too. I had nothing against Corso but Birnes being the co writer for his book would be the one to know.

The Philips experiment where people actually created a ghost was touched on briefly, I heard about this but desperately want to hear more about it. Can't wait for Dead Air!

I love Birnes' past work with UFO Hunters, but the guy can be overbearing sometimes. I've listened to some old Future Theater eps with guests I like and man that guy thinks highly of himself. It would be interesting to listen to the old C2C ep with Corso and Birnes (I think Birnes was on the same show as Corso, if I remember correctly) to see if he was talking Corso up back then, but now decides to call the guy out on his BS.

Birnes always reminds me of a little dog amongst a pack of larger dogs, always jumping up and chiming in trying to gets their attention.

I don't know how to do that. If anyone else does and wants to look, that would be great. My thought now is to try and email that blog's owner, and the other blog that she seems to thank for the link. *Maybe* they downloaded that show. Or, maybe one of us can call Art and ask if he remembers it. I might do that sometime on open lines, but not tonight.

I listened to the show, I think it was the full 5-hour because the run time was 3:15. Didn't hear any cat story or art talking like a robot. He only had one caller who didn't realize he was talking to Art, and Art gave in and didn't lead in on for very long.

Great! Let me know what you find out.

Can anyone explain to me how to get Art Bell torrents? I did torrents once, a long time ago, but don't remember how. I think I need a special program and also some sort of link to where the torrents are.

Download a program called uTorrent, go to piratebay and search art bell ultimate or something like that, and you should find the huge collection.

It just mentions the show date (7/29/98) and that it was time traveller open lines. I vaguely remember it being a themed open lines night, so I figured I'd start listening to some of those shows but they aren't actually there to listen.

7/29/1998 is part of the definitive collection torrent. Just checked my C2C collection and it's in there. I'll have to give it a listen.

Radio and Podcasts / Re: Keel this?!
October 16, 2015, 08:17:16 PM
It was during the Ron Morehead episode, near the end. The caller said he was reading one of Keel's books and he had a theory regarding Bigfoot. Art asked the caller the authors name again, and then, to me, it sounded like Art had never even heard of John Keel. He then asked Morehead if he'd heard of Keel and he too said no.

Looks like art is reading this, got an investigator on the case tonight.

That's great and all, but a show dedicated to this case with the major witnesses is needed. When else has a craft been witnessed on multiple days by military personnel? Art interviewing Halt, Burroughs, Penniston would blow out of the water anything ever done about the case. Maybe he could even get the elusive observation tower witness who say the craft "scanning" the weapons storage area where the nuclear weapons, or so it's thought, were kept.

I'd love a kooky Dulce base episode.

I'm not sure if Art's ever done a show dedicated to Dulce, either. John Lear and John Rhodes have some crazy ideas about the area, and the supposed "firefight" that went on in the late 70's between military and aliens inside a large mesa.

I'd be surprised if he hasn't but you may well be right.

I can remember an old show where a caller asked Art about the incident, and he had no idea what the caller was talking about. I know Charles Halt and Jim Borroughs, two of the witness have been on c2c with either Knapp or Snorry. It would be cool to hear Halt, Burroughs, and Penniston, the three best witnesses, to be on all at once.

I don't think Art has ever done a show specially about the Rendlesham incident. One of the best cases with good witnesses in my opinion.

John Rohdes telling his batshit theories about Dulce would make an entertaining show as well.

Those must be just data cds with MP3 files on them. Even the disc with Mel's Hole can't be an audio cd, I think they max out at 80 minutes per disc. Seems like just a bunch of burned discs that someone made back in the day.

There's a site that is updated quite frequently. All SiT shows go up there usually the day after. PM me and I'll give you the url. Dave bots are probably lurking on here so it could be sketch to give it out.

yep!

I am close to canceling my sub.  I do not want to but I am not going to pay  money for something that does not work

I'm not happy with the archived shows either, but it's $5. It took me about 15 minutes of research to find a program that will automatically record the stream, stop after 3 hours, then save the file. I'm still going to pay the $5 too, even if I'm not going to download the shows. It's going to help Art out and hopefully provide us with years of some good radio.

If you're not happy, call into the show and ask him what's up with the archive. If not, go cry somewhere else.

Great, here we go again. Now Art will use this as an excuse to quit. This is the Sirius shit all over again.
#21
I'm not sure if this was discussed somewhere else, but when will the Dark Matter Radio Network be updated to show who's on the show that day? Is Art going to continue to not give a schedule in advance so Dave doesn't snipe his guests?

Having the downloadable shows as ONE complete file would be nice. Is there a reason Keith is breaking the show up by hour?

I for sure remember his Alaska cruise, not sure if there were any others. I'm listening to a Dreamland from early 1995 and he's talking about an upcoming trip to Hong Kong. The Egypt trip was a few years later if I remember correctly.

Listening to old Coast to Coast shows, you always your art asking about people who want to go on cruises are vacations to Egypt or Hong Kong. I'm wondering if anybody on this message board has gone on any of those trips with hard. But would've been like going on a cruise ship with hard work and each and exploring the pyramids.

Fucking Siri. That's what I get for dictating while driving.

What I meant to say was when listening to old episodes of Coast to Coast, you always hear Art talking about upcoming trips to Hong Kong or Egypt or cruises, and listeners could come with. Anyone on this board gone on a trip with Art? I wonder how it would've been go on these trips. Any insight would be interesting. I wonder if these types of trips could happen in todays age of wackjobs and terrorism threats.
