Has anyone seen this? It's still opening internationally now but it came through Austin last year and I wasn't particularly interested at the time. Wondering if it's worthwhile or just another someone capitalizing on his story.

So I am creating a new monster for my kids to encounter in their Dungeons & Dragons game and thought that a "Noorie" would be a particularly foul beast. I've got a few thoughts already (e.g. It has bottomed out scores in Intelligence, Wisdom, and Charisma, has at least two faces, makes use of portals, can cast a hypnotizing gibberish spell, etc.) but I wonder if the mad creative minds here at bellgab might have some ideas about his characteristics, powers, and abilities. Even if you don't have knowledge of the game, it should still be an entertaining brainstorm. I may also have to add some separate descriptions of his sycophantic servants such as the Chuuch. I'll draw up a picture when it's done.

So, as a weekly family thing, the kids (and begrudgingly, also my wife) decided they wanted to learn how to play D&D  :). I played for several years when the game first came out and always had fond memories of those times, including attending a D&D camp for a week up at Shippensburg, PA. I remember that when I started playing, there was a Basic game that you'd start out on and then move up to Expert as you leveled up, and then onto other Master level etc. But then they changed it all to Advanced D&D and pretty much stopped with all the previous versions. I just pulled some very old modules and things from a box in the closet but I don't think I have everything I need to begin. For those D&D players here, what are the basic requirements for today's game that we need to start the fun? I don't plan on any of those figurines or big boards but I'll at least be getting those lovely dice, a Player's Handbook, Dungeon Master's Guide, Monster Manual, ... what else?

Paranormal - Conspiracy - UFOs - Etc. / Jeremy Meador
September 22, 2013, 07:14:54 PM
Art's first guests this week, I don't think I've heard of him and he's not in the C2C database. Good to see Art going in a new direction here though the rest of the week is more of the old regulars. Anyone know anything about Meador?

Since nobody else has posted it as far as I can tell, here it is:

I enjoyed finally seeing Art's wife speaking, he's a lucky fella. And Ross, was that your video promo #3 in there I saw?

* Late to the party as I suspected, previously posted  :P

Technology / YouTube video downloads?
August 09, 2013, 06:52:24 PM
I tried out some recommended video downloading programs a few years ago but was generally unhappy with them because of spam issues and even some hijacking of my browser. I know there's some fairly tech-savvy users on here and was wondering what the best programs are now for downloading and saving YouTube vids that don't come with "tradeoffs."

You wait and you wait and you wait for a show NOT to be hosted by Noory or Wells and {poof} it's not there...
