I found your last comment interesting about the low frequency tension.  I know from reading the forum, that you seem to listen many nights.  What caused you to notice this?  Do you have any examples?  I always that George had total control over the show creatively, but after reading the letter posted on this forum, it appears he does not.

What letter? Can you post a link?

You know Art always sad that he really disliked being refered to a legend and or why people who listened to him thought of him that way!!
Well Art like my self, I istened to voice or subject that I found very very interesting, and it was very entertaining, but it really became more than that,
because we listened for so long, that voice became like that of a comforting friend, and even when we didnt agrea it a really rare connection when you
that most people have long since lost trust in there world around, it rare to find some one you feel that you can trust and actually there company.

I agree. I find Art's voice soothing and use to fall asleep to his show (sometimes he would keep me up all night with certain topics). I still fall asleep to old Art Bell shows. Like a nice lulabye. I think the bottom line is Art Bell was an very interesting person who shared his personal life to some degree on the airwaves. Radio, Ham, Cats, his wife/family, RV's, technology, and a whole host of other topics that he could speak upon with a high degree of intelligence. But, Art also cut across many different social lines. He could talk to the left and the right of the political spectrum. He talked to the science geeks, the UFO buffs and the supernatural beings floating around our Universe. What does George Noory speak about? He does not bring an authentic personality to the airwaves which makes him sound like a Bufoon.

I wonder if he is suppose to be simple. Is he scripted as just a cutout host. Makes everyone else seem intelligent in comparison. He is not talking to the intelligent well read information hungry folks on the cutting edge. He takes a nonconfrontational viewpoint. The subjects he has an opinion on are subjects that cannot be proved or have no consequential meanings. "There are no coincidences!". Who can prove that? Who really cares? It is a layered religious imperative. Code for a certain segment of people who are not looking for answers but have already made up their minds and want someone who supports a certain veiwpoint. George tried to play Art Bells part for many years after he took over. Intelligent interview radio. But it just didn't work out. The show had to find new listeners and they tapped into the Clearchannel Right Wing viewpoint. I can't say everyone in that population segment is a certain type of person. C2C is scripted for and appealing to a certain type of person, with a definative viewpoint and a level of intellect. I can't stand the fake open lines at C2C not 'Because' they are screened but because of the topics and people they do let through the screeners. Listener calls with Art were pot luck and not everyone was a sharp knife in the drawer. Yet, Art got many more highly intelligent, deep thinking people to drop a line and be included in moving a conversation forward in a meaningful way.

I haven't had too many strange experiences. Well, except for following the Grateful Dead those 5 years. Just stuff like watching my coffee cup, which was sitting on the desk a few inches next to my hand, slowly glide about 8-10 inches across my desk. The logical thinking was that the bottom of the cup was wet and there was some sort of sliding friction that occured. But the desk was a perfectly flat and level surface. I decided to push the cup after it stopped moving just to see how much force was needed to make the cup slide. The full cup of coffee was not easily moved. There had been a few times in that apartment when I would just wake up out of a sound sleep because my unconscious mind thought there was someone in my apartment next to my bed. I jumped up thinking there was a burgular or someone robbing my one room hovel. Since I live in the NEW YORK CITY I would look into the darkness, listen for any movement that would indicate a mouse or something that flew through the open window. I found out later there was an empty apartment one door down where a lady had died 15 years ago. Well, after I told whatever it was not to come into my apartment anymore all of the weird stuff ended.

Another event happened on I-5 near Fresno area. About 8 or so lights the size of car lights but not as bright went west to east over the highway approx. 50 yards ahead of my car and about 30-40 feet above the highway. My mind registered the lights as I was highway driving and they disappeared into the field within a few seconds. I thought to myself there was a bridge up ahead that a truck went over. But within 5-10 seconds I realized there was no bridge ahead or behind me that travelled over I-5. I suddenly realized that an object had flown over the highway. An airplane, as I looked to my right for an airport, a landing pad, anything to tell a pilot that this was the place to land, but there was only a pitch black field for miles and miles around. The closest lights were well in the distance, at least a mile away. Something had flown over I-5 and disappeared into the field next to the highway. To this day I wish I pulled over and walked down the highway to take a closer look into the pitch black fields next to 1-5.

I thought George W. Bush was but that was giving him too much credit.

Sunday's C2C broadcast cleared that debate up for us.  The anti-christ is Prince William.

He is definately flying under my radar. Good Job being the AC I guess.

Listening to George last night. He has it all figured out. The UFO/alien agenda...They are making hybrids so that when humans destroy themselves and the planet these hybrids will be able to take over and live on Earth. How many times did he mention that in a 40 minute interview? By the 3rd time I got the impression that Yvonne Smith was saying, get over it, there is no proof of anything and I am not going to agree with you just because you are George Noory.

Way to kill a good interview George. He was doing so well at the beginning ad even going into the 1st break.

This is a great follow up regarding the video. Someone in the area went to the site along the river, reported what the area looks like and posted many photos... I love knowing the truth about an event...

Alex Jones is an intentional nutcase.

Aside from his C2CAM appearances, I've listened to his show - the Alex Jones Show - a few times and it could be pretty good if it were a 4-hour weekend show like Bob Brinker's Money Talk. He probably actually has about 4 hours of really good content per week. Unfortunately, he has 23 hours of programming to fill so you end up with 4 hours of good content sprinkled across 23 hours of absolutely unbelievable crap that stretches all bounds of credulity.

My biggest problem is that he announces the most bizarre things and, 90% of the time, his proof is always "JUST GOOGLE IT!"

"It's all right there people! Just google 'robot invasion', 'zac effron' and 'new world order'!"

Also, he's supposedly only 34 but he looks like he's at least 10 years older than that.

No doubt Alex jones is tops on my list of C2C nutcases. Ed Dames... up there. Hoagland over stayed his welcome. Any prediction psychic or channeling show. Anyone talking politics with Noory has to be a crazy bat. At least Art did real political talk radio before C2C. He had the experience and street cred.

Glen Beck reminds me of Alex Jones except toned down slightly for wider consumption.

Linda M Howe. I like her. At least she talks with credibility born from research. I also think she is super cute.

Two hours wasted with Lauren Coleman talking about monsters from New Jersey.  "Crypto" must be latin for "things that don't exist."  Then Graig Hulet spent the rest of the night spreading paranoia and nonsense like "Bin laden had nothing to do with 9/11", and in another "movies that George didn't see, and won't admit it" moment Graig talked about Blade Runner and George's complete silence gave his sorry ass away.

How can't a person have seen Blade Runner? Especially someone as connected to the beat of the common man like Noory. Guess he doesn't like Science Fiction. Snoory putting people on like Hulet is exactly why I can't listen to the Mormon induced religious right, spawn of Mitt Romney, Clear Channel programming. The longest running Republican infomercial running neck and neck with the fear mongering misinformation from to Fox News. Excuse my rant.

Thanks Valdez for taking the hit and giving a synopsis.

Art Bell use to do interviews, George makes infomercials.
discussing their ability to neutralize gravity, and all they got to show for it is some film that was shot in the mid eighties, and George eats it up like hot dogs at Coney Island?  John Hutchinson came across like a normal guy (looking a little like Axel Rose at his myspace page), but Dr. Koontz was a raving lunatic.  He sounded like JC on speed, screaming at times, interrupting everyone, and declaring that the universe was not expanding, and that the big bang never occurred.  George agreed with him on the big bang, saying, "The big bang?  Yeah, I've heard of it.  I may not agree with it, but I've heard of it."  Really George? Tell that to Michio Kaku next time you have him on.  Oh, yeah, they also claimed to be able to create a free energy device, but they can't build one right now because of some reason or another.  Yeah.  Right.  Sure.

Hot Dogs at Coney Island... Now that put a nice smile on my face for the day.

Like the Phoenix lights

Personally, I am absolutely satisfied with the explanation that the Phoenix Lights were military flare testing.

(a) Lt. Col. Ed Jones of the Maryland Air National Guard has twice confirmed to media he was involved in a night flare drop from A-10 Thunderbolts outside of Phoenix

(b) I wish I could find it off-hand, however, a KNXV news helicopter photographed a known and confirmed nighttime flare drop happening over Luke AFB in 2008 against amateur footage of the Phoenix Lights and the two looked absolutely identical. I need to check the KNXV web archives ... it's pretty astonishing how on the mark the two are.

I totally agree that the Maryland reserve air force group stationed at Phoenix could have dropped flares that night and this explains one part of what happened. Rather clever way to cover up an event. I saw the Discovery Channel documentary of the 10:30 pm Estrella Mountains flare event. It was impressive and convincing. But the real event occurred earlier starting well north of Phoenix and hours before the flare drop. Mostly I am riveted by the eyewitness accounts of a huge triangle craft flying over houses and people at a very low altitude throughout the region.

Like I was saying. Explain or create one event that is plausible and it replaces 100's of eyewitness accounts by putting doubt in other peoples minds. I cannot imagine a flying silent triangle the size of a football field flying over my head blocking out the stars. So those people MUST be wrong.

On a side note. That was a great show by George Knapp Sunday night. Bringing the very difficult subject of the many worlds theory into context with a tangible experiential feel.

I definitely understand what you're saying, I just personally don't put any credence into eyewitness accounts at all. At one point I did but, since the Norway Spiral which - seemed to me to be - startling and out of this world and went a full day or two without conventional explanation I have to believe there are other things equally as - or more - incredible in appearance that never get photographed and so don't have the benefit of crowd sourced identification. It was really purely by chance that the Norway Spiral got photographed. Had it not been we might well be sitting here discussing it as the greatest UFO eyewitness sighting of the modern era, instead of an out-of-control Russian ICBM.

I also caught Knapp's show on Sunday and thought it was fantastic. I heard Bell when he interviewed Lanza some time ago and, hate to say it, I thought Knapp did an even better job than Art.

I agree. Eyewitness testimony is shaky and usually false 99% of the time. It is that 1% of the time that I am more interested in. I have a Masters Degree in Psychology so I like to visually see a person when they are being interviewed and describing an event. I want close encounters of the 1st to 3rd kind. And I think those people do not really talk about their sighting because it is so unexplainable to them and people automatically discredit the event. I rarely talk about my sightings in ANY detail. It is too unreal.

Regarding the ICBM's - I lived in the Santa Barbara area for a few years, outside of Vandenberg and witnessed 2 ICBM test launches in 4 years. One in the daytime and one in the middle of the night. They are a truly amazing sight if you get a chance to witness the event. The daytime launch was almost spooky the way the smoke hung in the air and was an unusual color. But you knew what they were with a little thought  It seems like people are really out of control with sightings these days and tiny anomalous lights mean nothing in the UFO/ET/Dimensional being conjecture.

I saw strange lights for about 5 seconds driving on I-5 going North near Fresno. About 8 lights, the size of headlights, went 10-15 feet above the highway from west to east and about 40 or 50 yards ahead of me disappearing into a field. Since I was driving my unconscious mind said there was a bridge up ahead (being from the East coast where there are plenty of bridges over highways) and the lights were a truck. But a bridge never came and I looked to the right of me trying to find an airport or something, anything to explain an object flying over a highway and going out of sight. But there was nothing, just blackness for miles and miles. All I can say is it was unexplainable with the information I have.

I am in the UFO camp that says what is happening is unexplainable by our standards of understanding the universe. Think like a particle physicist would. You don't see the actual particle. You only see the trace evidence or the effects it has on our physical world. I wonder if "like the when the Native Americans saw the 1st ships coming from Europe and they made up godlike stories about what they were" or as Jacques Valle says "we need to look towards the absurd to get any sort of understanding of the phenomenon" that we can only see these objects as something closer to our understanding but in reality it is so fantastical that it is currently unknowable.

Take a look at - http://www.dimensions-math.org/Dim_reg_AM.htm   (at least to the 4th or 5th video) regarding 4th dimensional theory

or

The Dimensions Explained

for 10 dimensional theory. I would say the phenomena is best explained by the edges of what we can currently understand and comprehend. Hopefully I have not insulted anyone by providing links to things people already know and have accounted for. Just my 2 cents but I respect others viewpoint.

Another historic UFO investigative video report from Walter Cronkite. I find this one very interesting. It gives a great feel of how far we have and have not progressed in the UfO situation. Alan Hynek is still a government debunker. Great 1st hand eyewitness testimony and interviews. It was sponsored by IBM and they have 1966 IBM commercials. If anything, watching the personal jetpack and computer commercials are a huge blast. No pun intended.

BTW, turn your volume Wayyyyyyy down when you click the link. The volume of the video is very loud.

Enjoy

That was great when Art came back and he insisted on more interview/show time without commercial interuption. The quality of the show was improved. No more commercials about tonic water or gold in the middle of a great story or intricate scientific information.

I have no direct opinion about the Lazar situation. Just want to play a little Devils advocate here. It is split down the UFO community whether Lazar is telling the truth or is a liar. I have heard many confirmational stories by credible people to keep him on my radar. Everything about his educational history being erased and probably false push this to being discredited. Stanton Freidman, someone who I respect immensely, believes Lazar is a phony based on his education and physics knowledge.

But a few points for the other side. Much of Lazars experiences after disclosure has been confirmed, being followed and harassed by the government. I remember a show with Art Bell where a South African officer made the statement that one of the UFO's Lazar described was a UFO that the S.A. government shot down and sent to the U.S.. Finally it seems that after Lazar, Area 51 doesn't have the same amount of UFO activity as in the past leading researchers to believe that the project has moved from Area 51 to somewhere else (NORAD facility in Colorado). Does this weigh as heavily against direct in the hand proof. Nope.

But this is how easily an event is discredited by misinformation. A large group of people see something unimaginable. Like the Phoenix lights. Since people who haven't seen the crafts can't imagine what it would be like through direct experience they need something tangible. Just one explanation that people have experienced or can relate to or imagine will easily replace the actual fantastic sounding event. So saying it was flares makes 99.9% of the population feel like they can relate and in turn discredits the real experiences.

If the black ops can make their own operations disappear from view I am sure they can make one simple person disappear. Somehow they make any and all information from reliable sources seem tinged with some level of disbelief. Bentwaters comes to mind. If you ever listen to Staff-Sergeant Jim Penniston in an interview you would say this man is one of the most credible witnesses ever associated to the UFO controversy. But still the disbelief continues. How is this possible? Why does this continue to happen? I think if you can answer the how and why then a clearer picture of the UFO cover up will be produced.

There is no doubt that Ramona was a huge part of Coast to Coast. From here being into witchcraft as spoken during the Paglini interviews to just being a supportive wife to Art Bell. There is no way Art could have pulled off 4 and 5 hour shows every night without the help of someone who was also very invested in the program. I can only project out how different it is for Art to do the show without Ramona and maybe even the memories of those happy times are relived.

An old video by Disney that was shown only once in 5 cities as I read. The tone of this video is "UFO's and aliens are here". A mainstream company going against the mainstream media. No wonder it was shelved.

Mrs. Leslie Kean sounds like a great interview. A very knowledgeable person on the UFO subject from a hard core journalistic viewpoint. Wish I could have read her book before the show. Very glad Knapp is doing the show. Someone that can do follow up with questions that actually have a point to them.

After a small web search I think the Broadcast.com thing is correct. On this page under special interest it says Art Bell - http://web.archive.org/web/19981203001402/www.broadcast.com/advertising/site_channels.stm. If you go to the page under special interest it is copy written from 1997. They have a list of shows from May 1996 to Jan 1999. Just an interesting note in my opinion. Art Bell cashed in on the whole internet thing back in the day.

I remember reading many years ago that Art sold the rights to the early shows and I don't think Clear Channel owns them. I could be wrong. In 1993 Wikipedia says the show was syndicated. Art Bell was doing a late night radio show about politics on the Las Vegas station KDWN (as most people know) and he started to move to the paranormal. Robert Bigelow financed The Area 2000 radio show in 1992 but pulled the financing I think after a year. Art bell thought there was a future and Coast to Coast AM was syndicated. Not really sure when Dreamland was created but Premier radio canceled it in 2002 after they bought one of the media companies that owned the rights.

I could read up more but this paragraph will help people understand some of the history of who owned C2C AM "On the content side, Premier Radio Networks bought Hot Mix Radio Network, Inc., the producer of seven nationally syndicated "dance mix" radio programs, Chancellor Broadcasting Co., Inc. and Talk Radio Network, Inc., syndicators of Art Bell's network radio programs, "Coast-to-Coast AM" and "Dreamland," and 17 other talk radio programs. " All precipitated by the 1996 Telecommunications Act which has brought us the very one dimensional corporate propaganda driven public airwaves the USA has in 2010.

My earliest show on file is 1993 - Ghost 2 Ghost.

What if all the great visionaries in time were actually just the same being coming back to reinforce the soul enlightenment message. Then on 2012 all the incarnations of this supreme being comes back (whatever name you want to call him/her) and says. WTF are you guys doing. I said peace on Earth. I gave you the blueprint so many times. How much more explicit can I get past giving you 10 commandments and the Middle Way. How many more paths of enlightenment do I have to give you before you stop having other Gods beyond myself or the embodiment of me...Earth itself. Before you stop killing each other. Before you stop stealing from each other. Oh this is a waste of my time.

Yes, very excited about Art bell doing a UFO show. It is interesting to listen to Art Bell these days. When he was doing shows sporadically you could hear the rust on his technique. Over the past few shows, since they have been closer together, seem to be better and better. Just my opinion. We may never get prime time six days a week Art Bell style again but it is damn good to hear the master finding a 2010 groove.

Not only can George Noory not carry an interview, he cannot modulate his voice. Art was a master at writing the show with pauses, vocal intonation, and just plain being involved in the conversation. Talk radio is like writing a book. When you listen to a recent Noory show you get lulled to sleep. The show is one long boring sentence. The only time you are woken up in the storyline is when he makes some outrageous comment about conspiracy, religion or the government. And usually it just turns my stomach. Granted, I am a lefty in the political spectrum. But everything in a Noory show these days is eventually tied to some right wing political talking point which usually resides around distorted/misleading thinking or fear inducing topics.

It makes me wonder how much the owners of Clear Channel, The Bain Group or Bain Capital Partners, which is a Mitt Romney private equity firm changed the programming since 2008. One big political ad streaming out of your radio every night. I never really enjoyed Noory but some of his shows after he took over for Art bell could have been interesting and intellectually stimulating. He just couldn't pull it together to make it a fantastic show. The excuse was "he was being compared to Art Bell which is too high a standard to live up to". Now I compare the old shows to the past two years and I actually wish for old George Noory style shows. At least they were not offensive or just plain stupid. But I finally come to the point that Noam Chomsky espouses. That Noory has just found his level. The perfect storm so to say. He is a Religious right wing zealot that was given the green light to just be himself. It is not a conspiracy but just like minded people congregating and finding themselves in the same place. People that believe in Right Wing conservative thinking will apply for jobs at places like Clear Channel and Fox News more readily.

So I had to drop my Streamlink subscription because every night I was getting bombarded by the Conservative talking point of the day and there was no intellectually stimulating conversation to keep the show interesting. It was not too far away from listening to Limbaugh or the TV version of Noory, Glenn Beck. Even the Somewhere in Time shows had Noory segments with scary conspiracy/anti Obama dialog. God, could my time with old Art bell shows not have a Noory voice implanted in it.
