Ian Punnett

GUESTS:  William J. Birnes, Open Lines

Hedy Lamarr was one of the most beautiful actresses of the 1930s and 40s, but many are unaware of her inventions that were the basis for cell phone and Bluetooth technology. Lamarr expert and researcher Bill Birnes joins Ian Punnett to discuss the two Lamarrs - the glamour icon whose ravishing visage was the inspiration for Snow White, and a technological trailblazer who perfected a secure radio guidance system for Allied torpedoes during WWII. Followed by Open Lines in the latter half.

I dig Hedy Lamarr.  My kinda lady.  8)

That's Headley!

I donít like it when you do all ghost shows either. Itís not even Halloween.

+1 Ease up on the ghosts a bit. More shows about UFOs, conspiracies, weird science, psychedelia and consciousness exploration and I also liked your idea about exploring religious mysticism and world religions in general. This would of course include shamanism.

What a coincidence.  I had no bread, so I combined the tuna in a cup with a little cream cheese, finely minced onions and garlic, and a few chives.  Heated one minute, and ate it.  So good!  Olives can be nice too!

When you get to half a loaf maybe refrigerate or freeze bread?  Separating a piece off from frozen usually works fine.  My gluten-free bread perishes fast, so I keep a lot of tortillas around.

No, refrigerating bread ruins it though freezing is not bad.

My side?  Well, whichever that is, we will be victorious!  8)

Don't be coy. It's pretty obvious from your posts that you're an anti-Trump liberal globalist, which used to just be called communist or socialist. ::)

We can only hope that people wake up soon and follow the lead of my personal idol, McVeigh.  That is the only way that America will remain great again.  They just need to target those fake newspapers and damn universities to finally cleanse this great land.  :)

You're right! Your side is already gong to war against us.

So, Time doesn't care that they're creating the news now (fabricating, lying) as long as it has the right political effect, as long as it works. ::)

It should be illegal. Can they really claim it's opinion when they're attempting to deceive?

Aha, but when it comes to archaeology, the Brits do it differently!  For several hundred years now they prefer to see themselves reflected in a Classical mirror and use the names their conquerors bestowed upon their ancestors.  Then wonder why they disappeared along with the Romans hahaha

Yeah, there really was an awful lot of battling going on on that little isle at one time. I think maybe they just got confused. :D

After November Trump will be effectively gelded with respect to legislative initiatives. He'll still be a danger surrounding SCOTUS appointments, though he's discovered that Gorsuch is not always a "sure thing."  He might even be impeached, though conviction by the Senate is unlikely.  No matter.  The shitshow that is Donald Trump is winding down.  He will get a stamp in the USPS' "Legends of Golf" series, but no Nobel Prize.  Maybe a special mention in the Warren G. Harding "Presidential Whores and Crooks" anthology.  Between now and then my only advice for all of you Trump cultists is don't drink the Kool-Aid.  Maybe you can raise Mitt from the dead. Magic underwear and all.

You can't stop an unassailably cool idea, faggot! You're just jealous. ;D

Trump tariff actions have already raised prices on some commodities (lumber, for one).
Many middle income people actually face a federal income tax increase.

Even George Will advised people to vote against the GOP in November.

That's because like so many establishment conservatives he's not really conservative at all. It's all been part of the establishment puppet show meant to keep you asleep. ;D

They're obviously getting desperate now. ;)

Or a Nazi. Those are the only two names they seem to be able to call people who disagree with them. And if it doesn't seem obvious at first just give them time. They'll figure out an angle. ;)

I need to buy a new tuba. How do I set up a go fund me site and, more importantly, how do I convince people to pitch in money? Remember, I have no friends.

You think that's bad?! I was just about to make a tuna sandwich...but my bread has gone bad! :o

Tuba podcast? ???

Just stop playing dumb now. It's beneath you. ::)

Comey did alright.  If he had not told Congress about the investigation, he likely would have bee n accused of perpetrating a Cover-Up.  I wish they give the guy a gentle break.  Imagine, if Hillary won the presidency, and right afterward, she was found guilty of heinous email stuff.  Then Comey would have been blamed for letting a crook in the White House.  What do you think about that?

http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2018/06/21/doj-employee-among-those-heckling-dhs-boss-nielsen-report-says.html

One of the socialist protesters who accosted Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen on Tuesday at a Mexican restaurant has been exposed as a Department of Justice employee.

Allison Hrabar, a member of the Democratic Socialists of America who attended the protest against Nielsen over the controversial border law enforcement, was revealed to be a paralegal specialist at the DOJ, the Washington Examiner reported.

ďIt feels really good to confront people who are actually responsible, which is what we have a unique opportunity to do in D.C.,Ē the DOJ worker told the outlet.

I wanna hear Trump say, "You're fired!" :D

Clearly the judge believed based upon the EVIDENCE presented that the Kansas law was seriously flawed and ordered Kobach to stay its implementation.  He didn't and she found him in contempt.  Pretty much the way the legal process is supposed to work. Why do you have a problem with Constitutional process?  That's the difficulty with Trumpers - they believe they can ignore the Judicial branch of government.  Well, Trumpers.  Fuck you and the low rent trailers you live in.  Now go to school and get a job.

Triggered! ;D

So true.  Although I had a little lucky help this time!

Here are possibilities:
1.  Someone else may have been playing with GI Joes in that citizens band, so coincidence.
2.  Someone or a team had through-the-wall visual technology (infrared?). Utility companies have a through-the-wall tool to examine insulation.
3.  Someone and a team had a satellite that can see through roofs, curtains.
4.  Someone saw him play on another day, knew the time of day he did it, and took a pot shot guess.
5.  What he heard could have been the microwave auditory effect of hearing one's own thoughts (we have over 37 levels) on a neural transmitter like an implant in the ear.  Next time test it b y reciting the alphabet.  If you get the alphabet back, you're hearing a neural monitoring microwave radio system.
6.  Someone else or a team was neural monitoring him, and used content to harass him on the CB.
7.  Someone has a plane that can hover with interior tools that see through drapes.
8.  Someone in the home informed someone else (gas lighting), and the second person harassed him.
9.  A sensor was in the GI Joe, alerting a voyeur to his activites.
10.  Someone mind controlled his brain to make him Think he heard what he heard.

He was a kid. It was the mid 70s. So, I'd say the chances that his parents were trying to gaslight him are slim...but I don't know his family dynamics.

Here are two other possibilities:

1. It was the spirit of one of Dave's ancestors trying to communicate with him.
2. Dave's a schizophrenic and was hallucinating.
