Howard Bloom is no narcissistic and his droning, accented voice is grating. I'm not denying some of his achievements but I can't stand his voice. And Bloom comparing Michael Jackson to Jesus "he was hanging on a cross for 25 years?" And Bloom "failed to save Michael's soul?" WTF.
i thought that whole thing about michael jackson was odd, indeed...glad it wasn't just me

I didn't realize that the doo doo birds helped build the pyramids.  Wow.  That caller was out there.  LOL!  Has that person called in before?
I had not heard that caller before. As far as I'm concerned, he was almost as good as the John Lennon assasination conspiracy guy  8)

Only food grade diatomaceous eart fully diluted from time to time.  But there is a knack to it, and it is kind of hazardous if not diluted fully, or if the dust that is stirred up gets accidently inhaled.  Clay, huh.  Clay feels cool!
partake safely  :)

Remember when a coach or old timer would say after getting a scrap or minor cut: "just rub some dirt on it and git back out there?"
https://www.popsci.com/science/article/2013-05/antibacterial-clays-can-kill-antibiotic-resistant-e-coli-and-mrsa
Eating dirt phenomena, partially, explained:

Nice post, thanks :D My friend and i are still in contact, and in fact we had lunch today (probably not as good as earth, but she paid lol) Next time we meet i'll have to remember and ask her about white vs. red clay, boiling vs. baking and if her mother also recommends clay for use in minor scrapes, etc. I'm sure she would be thrilled about all the scientific and cultural curiosity, but to her mom eating dirt is just common sense!

Abovs is a website I just found.

Aren't there crystals in radio?

Well, I think looking into crystal balls is more like "scrying" than it is like enjoying crystal communication.  And, scrying can be done with almost anything at all.  Most people, like George's relative, think of reading tea leaves when they think of scrying.  Anyhow, in fortune telling, the crystal ball is used because it it a reflective surface, or mesmerizing like a candle flame or even tea leaves if you are in a creative mindset.  When I look at the flecks in stones, like citrine or opals, it is a very intense yet quiet thing to do too.

As far as crystals, I have had a lot of them, mostly pretty small.  My experience with them is very basic and has not been very rewarding.  But I haven't delved as deep as I would like.  There is always hope.  I can't say I've had any more unusual experiences with crystals than with other things.  But they are allergen-free, easy to care for, and discreet.  I suspect there are special techniques for holding a crystal, in order to get it to communicate.  I just haven't ever learned!

There are some great encyclopedic manuals and probably online websites to tell you which stones are good at what.  I hear there are even stones/crystals for alien communication!  I have followed some of their suggestions.  Unlike herbs, for which I could always repeat successes, with crystals I was never sure how measure success.  There are so many variables in situations.  And I think they are subtle, at least to me.

Unfortunately, I'm a cardinal fire sign, so a rock would have to be pretty energetic for me to perceive its effect.  Historians say royalty wears gems on their head for good reasons.  I always felt calmer when I had a "soft" (meaning mostly water) stone on, like a pearl, citrine, seashell stuff, turquoise, opal, and others.  I've never felt radiant with hard stones like diamonds, emeralds, rubies, or sapphires on, although I wouldn't mind having some!

I think there must be something to quartz, since it powers watches and is used in computers.  That's pretty cool.  I suspect some crystals like hematite do record the events around them, and perhaps get full or overloaded at times. I have seen quartz crystals get cloudy from their busy environments, and clear back up to their pretty color after being cleaned, set in the sun, and set in a quiet area.

Rose quartz hasn't brought me any love that I'm aware of.  Not sure about amethyst.  But yellow quartz coincided with new clarity.  And plain quartz always made me feel an unknown strength nearby, but not a harnessed one.

I do think there is something to the cut of a crystal.  A spear will have a different energy release than a sphere, for example.

My mom got some little stones from Africa.  She didn't have to tell me where she got them, because they gave off a very foreign vibe.  It was like I didn't feel comfortable holding them.

Just imagine as our ocean ecology gets worse, what will happen to beautiful corals, mother of pearls, pearls, and abalone.

Actually, I have liked baked/cracked marbles ever since an old lady made me some as a child.  I'm really glad they are back in style after all these years.

Does clay count as a crystal?  It is minerals.  I also am experimenting with it, to see how it can be used to humidify a room.  So far, so good.  Saturated, unglazed clay on a dish seems to keep the air from drying ojt due to electric heat.  I put a piece of clay on top of the soil in a potted plant, hoping it would regulate the humidity of the soil, but I haven't found a correct way to do it.  It doesnt seem to be helping at all.  Its probably supposed to be below the soil.

Along the lines of clay ideas, I finally started putting a second bowl under microwaved bowls after I pull them out of the microwave, so they wouldn't burn my hands!  Every year, I waited for bowls with good handles, but nothing good was marketed.

I have heard some conspiracies regarding gypsum (a crystal) wallboard and covert programs.  But when I google such conspiracy ideas, nothing ever comes up.

Amber resin is a little like crystals.  I only put amber on my clothes or hair.  I don't put it on my skin because although it seemed fun, it had results that were repeatedly, definately, boringly estrogenic.  Every time.  For decades.  That was before, though.  I'm older now and the estrogen has changed, so I could try it again and it might be super!

Whenever I'm around rocks, I think of how long they have been around, even though water cuts through them.  All the histories they have known, without eyes!  But, I've had the same feeling about bricks are around pretty long, too.  Just because a brick is a composite doesn't mean it lacks stone components.

Alabaster is freaky, how it lights up in a dark room.  Even if it never is near a window, it stores light so weirdly.  I used to think that alabaster was radioactive!

And to think that little crystals of sand are what makes glass!  Well, sorry I wasn't much help.  But do check out websites.  I haven't done that.

Aren't Sworovsky crystals great?  I BELIEVE IN SWOROVSKY CRYSTALS !!!!!!!!!
Interesting. Have you ever injested clay? I ask because some ppl bake a certain type of red clay mud and eat it. I have heard that women will often crave this when they are pregnant (men are not prohibited from this practice but it is kind of frowned upon, and whatever benefits that are alledged will not be realized if a male eats dirt) Personally, i doubt there is any insight to be gained from eating dirt, but i had a girlfriend whose mother believed in and promoted the practice for whatever reason. In full disclosure, the woman was also a full-blown hypocondriac prone to all manner of superstition. Take it for whatever its worth to you

It's not hate. Its just a waiting game for us. We're waiting on a better host to show up and do the show.

Tommee and Jorch have always taken this as hate. They couldn't be more wrong. They suck, we criticize. They suck, we coach. They refuse to listen and get defiant, and get their feelings hurt. So now it's just a stare down contest. When will Jorch sign off for the last time? Hopefully it was last night.
You honestly dont believe wishing illness and death upon someone is hate?

It’s a shame that it’s came to this. But the truth is, I’ll be wishing for and celebrate on the day he has a turn of bad health and is forced to retire.

If he or Tommee would take constructive criticism instead of being a turtle in a shell and thinking they’re doing a GREAT job it would be different. But they suck and are proud to do so.

So yeah, here’s to Jorch croaking. May the day come sooner than later............
that's a tad bit extreme. actually, it's a LOT extreme. maybe george isn't completely off when he calls us haters...not completely vindicated though. as i type, the good doctor is on to sell his snake oil

I don't believe I heard any regret in his voice. If she had a sudden crisis, the proper thing for Noory to do was at least tell the audience "that something came up for her and she had to go". That would have been totally reasonable even if it weren't true.. but no, he said nothing about her sudden departure, lending more credence to the fact that they (Noory and the show) just terminated her appearance because in Noory's eyes, she said something naughty, even though Noory questioned her on the topic. In my opinion, she was an interesting guest and I was dissappointed about the sudden drop.
It is indeed a shame that Twyman got the boot. This aspect of Norry is the one that promted me to become a rat-eating hatur...kind of nostalgic to be reminded of the original suck

Thanks! If George was concerned about the guy staggering, he could have made a welfare call.
I'm sure Tom has Barry's number.  But nooooo.  Why not just irritate teetotalers plus embarass Barry nationally.
You're welcome, my friend. I think George said he was joking and that he didn't really see him staggering about. There was some cross-talk during the conversation to muddy things up (nothing new there) but that's how i heard it.

Don't remember that.  It may have been the election night show.  I remember him this year though saying "I never said who would win, I just said who the elites wanted to win." or something like that.
It's hit and miss with me on this show so it is indeed possible that he at some other time qualified his statements and i was't tuned in. Also, memory is a funny thing...so there's that too

Many thanks to ItsOver for predicting that.

Of course, the other thing on this as has been noted by others here, is that George claims to be a big fan of the Twilight Zone, yet only cites the same two or three episodes over and over.

I missed last night's show.  I don't believe Craig B Fraudlet was the originally scheduled guest.

I have Coast Insider, I need to find exactly what Fraudlet said on Jeb Bush becoming President in the 2016 election.  It was something like "I'm not giving you my prediction, I"m telling you what is going to happen.  You don't actually have a say in the matter, it's already been decided."

Of course, Fraudlet now completely denies he ever said any such thing.
To be fair to the guy, I do remember he admitted to being wrong about that one. Sorry, can't remember the date but it wasn't long after the election that Norry had him on the show to ask about it. Cheers!

Knapp and Paulides were great last night. Unfortunately, I fell asleep just before the Japanese scary stories. Was that part good?
love the avatar, Tiger! i thought the second guest was pretty good. i don't particularly care for the topic of ninjas and stuff but there were other aspects of Japanese culture that came out over the course of the interview (though i can't seem to recall what at this time lol).  As per usual, Knapp really helped the interview as he was knowledgable of the guest's book and was engaged with the guest. imo he was able to pull out information that would have been otherwise left out. Dave P. in the first half got an extra half hour, which was a good move too.

Now a random comment and a general question: When a guest tells something shocking or surprising to Noory, what is his professional broadcasting response? Answer: Jeeezzz......

How's this for a drinking game -- take a drink whenever Jorch says "Jeeezzz". I warn you though, you'll be drunk near the end of the first hour.
I've learned to make those drinks for every nooryism imaginary ones. My favorite old saw is the dogged insistance that "there are no coincidences"...which is true except when it isn't (it is a double shot whenever a coincidence is called an irony in defense of that particular maxim). Cheers!

I hear you, though I was kind of looking forward to some classic George tonight in the same way I look forward to a nice greasy Big Mac lol. Dave is always good and the topics seem fresh and interesting, so i'm still going to tune in.

Well, that was fast.

Las Vegas (AP) – Late-night radio personality Art Bell sued fellow talk-radio host George Noory for defamation, saying Noory insinuated Bell's cats were carrying parasites, and that Bell should get rid of them.  “On August 1, 2017, Noory made defamatory and slanderous statements on his radio program, ‘Coast to Coast AM, Starring George Noory,’” Bell says in the complaint, filed in federal court on Wednesday.

Noory was apparently talking about parasites and he brought up cats – a frequent topic on Bell’s former late-night radio show “Coast to Coast.”  Wth Noory asking a guest during the show "if listeners have a cat, should we tell them to get rid of it?", according to the complaint.

Bell hosted “Coast to Coast” from 1998 to 2007, often discussing cats, including the several he owns. The show was syndicated on 500 stations and garnered more than 22 million listeners.  Bell said his cats were well-known within the radio industry and that it is clear that Noory was alluding to them in his on-air comments.

Bell also named PremRat Broadcasting, the networks that carries “Coast to Coast AM, Starring George Noory,” in the lawsuit.  “PremRat failed to exercise due care and adhere to standard radio broadcast industry practice by not utilizing the delay function to prevent broadcast of the statement,” Bell says in the complaint.

While Bell acknowledges that Noory did not mention Bell by name, he said the statement – which he called “hateful and untruthful” – was clearly alluding to him.  “A listener of the program would understand that Mr. Bell was the foremost radio personality that spoke about cats on the air” Bell says in the complaint. “The statement is defamatory per se because Noory falsely stated that Mr. Bell allegedly has cats and is thus susceptible to parasites.”

Bell said he is in the process of returning to broadcasting, but Noory’s statement has stymied his comeback attempt.  “The statement has harmed his professional reputation and is hindering (Bell’s) efforts to return to broadcasting and journalism,” the complaint states.  Bell seeks damages – including punitive damages – on claims of defamation, false light invasion of privacy and infliction of emotional distress.  He is represented by Gerard Fox and Belinda Vega in Los Angeles.

An email sent to PremRat was not returned as of press time.

Oh, he's in turbo-driven moron mode tonight.
- Expresses surprise on hearing that when the host dies (there's a thought!), the parasite dies.
- Wonders if we cut open the brain of someone with parasites, would we see them wriggling around.
- Told that certain parasites can only live in the guts of cats, Joorch asks if there's a difference between a cat's gut and a dog's gut.
- When she mentions things we have found in people's bodies, Joorch grows alarmed and asks if we lcan legally - legally! - talk about it on the radio.
- Says it's too bad no-one has 'concocted a drink' to kill these parasites and says he'll ask 'our holistic doctors who come on here once in a while' if they can recommend supplements to deal with them.

The shame is that McAuliffe clearly knows her stuff and this is genuinely interesting: she deserves better than to run up against this idiot.
ikr?! also, ditto on the topic and the guest

George's reactions tonight with the parasite lady is why i tune in. The interaction between the two reminds me of when I was a kid asking my exasperated father endless "why this, why that" questions that drove him bonkers. The guest has poise and is handling things well...darnet! Maybe in the next hour she will have had enough and will pop off. One can hope  ;)

27
Sure it is. Don't you recall Norry and Tommee mentioning that you "can ugh send it to your flatscreen and watch it" and that "people are having parties watching the show together?"  ;)
you mean you didn't think that idea was the bees knees? oh, i think it's great! as soon as i can find some friends, believe me, we'll be watching together...and people call ME sucker?! geez

28
no I think her tits are OK
she deserves 9/10 for her tits, but only if they are real !!
paedo

the one in the middle has tits that are 9/10 (if they are real = I DOUBT IT !!) -but her face is scary,..looks as goofy as her father
waaay over the line

tonights show makes me think of an old gameshow, perhaps it was "password"??
phychic: is there an "s"
caller: no
phychic: well then, how about a "j"?
caller: no
psychic: i see something about smoking, what about that?
caller: almost as if on cue, coughs that obvious smoker's cough
psychic: someone is telling me you should stop smoking
george with that funny bell: ding ding, thirty seconds!
