WPLG in Miami says the bridge was undergoing stress tests at the time of the collapse. Stress tests at noon with cars beneath it.

Tests failed.

Sounds like a lot of fun.  I bet he wasn't too hot in the cunnilingus department though!

“Ghhhet offfffft, ghhhet offffffft”.

I got to fly this VMS a few times. Dick Covey and I tested out proposed software changes for nosewheel steering.

I even kept it on the runway when they blew the right side tires on me. I lost it (and almost lost my lunch) when they blew the left side tires though.

If the diaper isnt changed the baby could get a UTI.  So, where is the changing table?

Changing tables are in the restroom banos

I'll say this. Firmly. I read things in the guy's live chat I find disturbing. If that young kid thinks it a good idea to plan to put firearms in the hands of you-know-who, he'd better background him thoroughly. But worry not. If the guy is not legally allowed under federal law to handle firearms or ammunition, nothing like someone telling the world he would "like" or that he "plans" to train him in their use. That could be a felony under federal law.

Not to be taken lightly. The call to keep guns out of the hands of those not legally allowed to have them -- and the mentally ill and the abusive, ranting, irrational, paranoid monster types who feel the world wrongs them and they want to get even all the time. Know any from online?

Stated. Firmly. No laughing matter. OK? That is a serious thing to "plan" or whatever. That kid better think long-and-hard before he gets online and makes his possible intentions known. As in being an accomplice to a federal crime. A felony crime. Think and think further -- long-and-hard about it.

When he becomes a land barron in Nevada, the governor is going to pardon him. Do hou not pay attention to anything?

Technology / Re: Adding WiFi Phone App to Tablet
« on: March 14, 2018, 02:46:55 PM »
Any recommendations on a free WiFi phone app for my tablet?  I'm looking for a backup number since cell coverage is very poor at my daughter's new, out-in-the-middle-of-nowhere home. There are dozens of them at Play Store, but the handful I've downloaded (and quickly deleted) turn out to not be free as advertised.  Best so far looks to be one called "TextNow".   Suggestions?

TextNow (ios version) worked fine for me on my ipad, but it has been awhile since I had to use it.

Numbers Lady claims numerology works because of Pythagoras, "who we all know due to geometry," and because "everyone has three names." EVERYONE has three names? Even if her numerology only works for those of European ancestry people have fewer than "three names" or in many cases, especially in Latin countries and some Germanic ones, many MORE than three names. So how does her numbers work for someone like, say, the Spanish king: Felipe Juan Pablo Alfonso de Todos los Santos de Borbón y de Grecia?

You probably just throw in the standard “NMI”. (Not to be confused with “NMN” which is added to government forms when all you have is a middle initial ).

The actor pretending to be Stephen Hawking has passed away. The man is a legend--he literally never broke character.

Who will they get to endorse brain-pills and prejudice against AI now? Bill Nye is arguably less photogenic, he's out of the running.

He is talking more about computers

Amazing that during that entire recall of every computer he never listed an IBM mainframe. He must have forgotten about his legendary off-the-street bug fix back at IBM headquarters.

George is talking about computers

Tell him Linux wasn’t released until 1991. Not 1977.

falkie is living streaming now

Oysters and Bacon. My two favorite Kosher foods.

I think this one can be attributed to the massive gravitational field dat ass be commanding. The 9/11 memorial one was MS.

If there had been one more secret service agent when they chucked her into the van, they might have reached escape velocity.

So did the caretaker refuse to come back until Falkie disinfected?

Don't mention the 'J' man, nor his mom or dad around George.  He gets upset.

Good point

Oh Lord why did I look at that?   I wanna hurl.   Jesus, Mary and Joseph...............

Thanks for the Spoiler Alert

Politics / Re: Austin Bombings

Yeah I was thinking along those lines also as a theory. The police and ATF, obviously, won't give details of the bomb but say relatively advanced* because it apparently goes off when handled. I immediately replayed "Lethal  Weapon" scene in my mind and said knowingly said "mercury switches." And lots of them out there since the Greenies forced us to user "smarter" and "more efficient" thermostats.

*I say relatively because I'm guessing it is not that sophisticated but more advanced that the usual types of bombs nutjobs uses like pipebombs, malatov cocktails, etc.
Or a water bottle with a little tinfoil boat.

Would someone please inform George that some one was impersonating me. I can't think of anything I ever did to upset George or anyone.

Love ALL

Just send him the three-fiddy (per acre) and a gold mastercard.  He will get over it.

DON"T smoke 'em if you got 'em because they likely will be banned soon or, at least, renamed.  ;)

Not to invoke the rath of Beezlebubb but...

I seldom listen when she hosts but I switched it on after Hoagland finished. Jeez is she terrible with callers.  That frigging giggle to drown out the caller when she wants to just hang ip on them is an interesting, yet annoying technique. I thought Connie Willis was bad with the pot giggles.

Another bomb this morning and speculation runs rampant but there is no known motive or link between victims though some are speculating it is a hate crime because they have been in the "minority" area of the city, though all areas are "gentrifying" and seems to be random so how would bomber ensure victim is a minority? Lots of bigwigs in town for the political and tech SXSW stuff, used to be about music, like Musk, Bernie, Arnold, etc etc so I'm sure security is tightening.

Those in Austin don't touch packages that you didn't order and expect.

They need to figure out who is the real target. The others were a distraction.

You can't listen to it in one sitting.

Sounds like a double dog dare

Oh no! Some imposter White Crow ruined my good name with George. Almost 3,000 pages and four years of my efforts gone in flash. How much is this going to cost me to repair?

About three-fiddy

Especially if the boxes look black and evil.

We need a Federal Bureau of Boxes, Packing Tape and Scissors

That's why we need more laws to add to the laws which already prevent these type of things. Utopia, any day now.

Was it a rapid fire, high capacity, assault package?

We should require background checks for cardboard boxes and packing tape.

He plans on leaning on Abram significantly...once Abram obtains a driver's license. So, neither George nor Abram can drive at this point.

You could have been Abram. See what you blew?

It is because Amish do not use computers nor watch TV so the comparison confused and frightened his simple mind.

I was wondering how he settled on 40 acres for the size of the land. Maybe he read that there was a minimum amount of acfeage that was required for hour own personal transit station.

Tsiolkovskiy is centered at -20.4°N, not 19.5, you liar.

19.5 +/- 3db

Dipshits are alleging Mitchell kept a film magazine. If Ken Johnston actually had shown the film once that meant it had been removed from the camera and magazine and developed for projection to be possible. It would not have been in Mitchell’s possession if it had gone to the photo lab to be developed.
