Just checking in, Heather -- you've got my support.  But have to bow out tonight because this topic (and similar ones) scare me. :-)  I'll check back tomorrow!  Carry on!!

lol kinda..some might say i am a lil too loyal to Ross..but he was very welcoming and nice to me when he had no real reason to be..but aside from that..Dick just keeps getting worse and worse and shows all the time what sort of scum he is

Loyalty to Ross is warranted and good. Succumbing to RCH's pitch isn't.  I had a momentary lapse.  I'm okay now. :D

I'm looking for answers in the rocks.  We're all processing things our own way.  Stay strong maren.

Thanks, sweet squirrel.   :)

Get a grip.

I'm actually okay -- not as traumatized as when he cut the cord with Sirius.  Probably because you guys are all here.  I'll carry on!

no..aside from the treatment of Ross..he treats both his guests and listeners like idiots...his new producer has yet to have any one gfood on..and he really only has 3 and a half shows on a week..and he does little prep work

Haha!  Boy, did I touch a nerve!  And you're all absolutely right.  I'm just not thinking clearly tonight.

No way my wise Sister. Just listen to this delusion egomaniac

Thank you for reining me in.  I'm still over-reacting to everything!  Supporting Hoagland will NOT bring back Art, which is what I was probably hoping for.  ShayP set me straight, too!

We're all still reeling.

No.  >:(

That was my sense, too, but felt like maybe these circumstances called for extraordinary measures.  I guess not.  :D

Damn, I'm ready to support RCH for taking over the 9-12 slot, just to keep DMN and the BellGabbers gabbing.   But if he was a dick before (reference Saucy) he might become even more so if he gets the prime time gig.

What do you guys think?

Honestly; she's not a professional broadcaster. I don't think she's horrible, but nowhere near as good as some are posting.

She's not of professional calibre -- yet, but she's doing WAY better than I could, for example, and I dare say better than many of those of us knocking around here.

Sure but what about the rest of us?  I'm losin it but still kinda keepin it together.

(P.S. Go Readacted.)

It's a process, grieving.  You've got fellow grievers here, zeebo.  We're all alone together.

And probably the doper members who can do nothing but say good things.

Why don't you call and show us how to do it?

Heather's doing great but I thought she'd be speaking with a British accent.

Haha!

Living to 150 is "probably" more common than it is now?????

My 9 yr old prays for the victims of Paris every night since the attack, for whatever that maybe worth. She quite enjoys your show. Maybe you can go on random days of the week? Or just take a week off or do two shows a week? Like a weekend gig? Why stick to 5 nights a week? Though we'd love that, but I don't see how he can NOT talk to an audience, it's in his freakin' DNA.

I have to agree - he's obviously right back in there right now.  I think that might be a great compromise!

And I was wondering where you were -- never saw you when I'd drop by.  So hi.  :)

Heather's got my 5 bux for the next couple of months, I hope she comes into her own.

You know, I've been thinking, there does come a time when the torch has to be passed, and Heather may grow into a phenom.  I think she's pretty fucking amazing tonight in her debut, especially with all the glitches she's had to deal with.

I feel it in my bones...Art will be back full time in January. Should we start a pool like osom?

From your bones to God's ear, or however it goes.

What an F'ed up world.  Unfortunately Art's show is/was one of the little bright lights that help us get through it.  And now even that's been dimmed again.

Aww, zeebo.  I hate seeing you so sad. :'(

Art calls in to help Heather... What a guy!

I know!  Riding to the rescue!  And I think he misses us, too!  (Or I'd like to think so)

I just sent a secret message of support.  Seemed to go thru.

Thanks, yes and then I heard her mention the wormhole.

open up the lines, Heather.

Great idea -- I just wormhole her that suggestion.  God.  If I was Heather, I'd just walk out the fucking door right about now.  She's handling Opening Night with aplomb!  All Hail Heather!
#24
Oh, no -- poor Heather!  She's handling this well!
#25
Can we wormhole Heather?

I spoke with Heather just before airtime. She is not happy about how this is... and so is doing an excellent job sounding relaxed and good to go. Exactly six months ago today she and I were in Art's studio, he showing us all the doings and what nots of the captain's chair. Who the hell knew?

I can imagine she's not happy about how this came to her.  I was thinking that she sounds so relaxed and such an old hand at this (with this boring guest, no less!) and that I'd be throwing up in the wastebasket between questions.

Agree -- and what a baptism of fire for Heather!

I'm surprised anyone at 4chan would even be aware of Art.

They are.  And they're aware of us.

Hi starr. :)
I liked her on the test show in July too.

I just mentioned to Gravity Sucks that I wish she had a livelier guest. :-)  But I'm really enjoying her, too!

And Hi, Sandman and Starr!  *big hugs all around)
