Not buying it? You dont have to youll only believe what you want to. I see hard data all the time.

You're damn right I'm not buying it. My knowledge of radio is pretty limited, but I'm all eyes & ears if you want to share some factual data with us with corresponding proof to back up your claim.

As far as I "only believe what I want to", that's not true. In my profession I have to be impartial. I carry that over into my personal life as well.

You threw it out there, show us some of this "hard data" you see.

It's rather interesting to see George or at the very least one of his flunkies posting here.

My question is- What's with the cryptic messages and poor sentence structure? This forum is not twitter or a text, you can use more than 160 characters.  The way you pose your posts on here only adds fuel to the debate that you are not professional and lack any form of sincerity in the final product you produce.

I haven't listened to C2C in quite some time because frankly, it sucks. Your lackadaisical approach to the show has turned me & numerous others off to the show.

I'm sure you will come back with a reply how the show is growing and listenership is at an all time high, but I'm not buying it. I doubt anyone else with an IQ over 80 is buying it either.

Hallelujah bro'. ↑↑↑↑↑↑↑↑↑↑

To be honest, I'm not even sure why this thread exists. Art Bell does not have a new show, yet there are (currently) 321 posts about something which does not yet exist. While my best guess would be there is a substantially greater likelihood that Art Bell will have a new show someday, this could be months, maybe many months away. For now, I'll stick with known quantities like the George Noory Sucks! thread, because he does, or Art Bell Quits Coast thread because he did.

Agreed. I don't post much anymore as I've all but given up listening to Snoron. I got the same email about Art's new show but have yet to see any concrete evidence of this new show coming to fruition. I'm waiting to hear factual information about Art's new program.  With all the current events going on, I'd love to hear Art's take on things, etc.

Once Paul Barker came on the scene is when Ministry started changing for the better. I can comment on the The Cure as I don't listen to them.

I forgot RevCo released another album after Sex-O, I think it was Got Cock or something long that line?

I agree TKK & KMFDM have aged well. I saw TKK with Lords of Acid in 2010 and they put on a hell of a show. I thought it was interesting they played the Land of Rape & Honey album during the set change between TKK & LOA. Excellent choice IMO!

I'm surprised Al hasn't sued Billy The Exterminator for stealing his look....haha!

I love Ministry, but the recent Relapse album really sucks. Stick to the thrash industrial metal phase.

Not only that but the album art sucks ass too!  Ministry is doing a small tour this summer but doubt I'll go. Jourgensen must broke again!

They ruined the Revolting Cocks too. In fact I think the Cocks are dissolved now.

I haven't listened to Coast is Toast in over 4 months now so I'm out of the loop. To hear stations are dropping the program is damn interesting and as others have suspected I too think this is just the beginning of dwindling affiliates.

Should be interesting the next 3-6 months!

Coming out of de-lurk mode to say this as I'm sure the idiot is still reading this thread.....

Go Fuck yourself Ft. Rock! That should be nothing new to you given your virginal status.

Here's something you can do that would benefit all mankind- put a plastic bag over your head and take a deep breath. Hold it for 20 minutes.

I am almost ashamed to admit it but after Whitley and his wife it's good to know Noory is back...sucks? Yes. But suckage with consistency ...

That would be a damn good addition to the opening sequence of the show. "This is Coast to Coast AM with George Noory. Suckage with consistency" I think it flows pretty good. :)

idunno.  i'm on the fence as to whether or not she'll choose to come back.  speaking for myself, i don't miss her.

while she was smart and sometimes entertaining to read, i think she was easily offended and wasn't particularly tolerant of differing opinions.  i know she didn't see herself that way, but look why she left.

also, it felt like users pretty much stopped being FUNNY while she was around here buzz killing and minding everything.  as a 32 year old male from missouri, i don't typically rely on uptight 60 year old female democrats from california as a barometer for what is/isn't funny and what should/shouldn't be considered "offensive."  it would be far too limiting.  sorry.  certain groups of people have a profoundly restricted sense of humor, and i've learned to identify those people when i see them.

a couple users did leave coastgab when she left.  that's fine, because it's a purging that must happen once in a while to separate the wheat from the chaff.  however, i know of a few people who left because they didn't like her overbearing presence here.  i point this out only to illustrate the fact that nobody is universally loved, and you'll never get 100% of the people on your side.  if you're going to start posting in forums, this is something you need to know and be comfortable with.  she didn't and wasn't, which is why she's gone.

i concur 100% with this opinion on the matter (not the part in quotes).

anagrammy wasn't the first user to overestimate her importance on this forum and leave in a huff.  she probably won't be the last.  yawn.

Good post. I see her lurking here so she must not have been too pissed off. The rapid fire posts she made about anything & everything under the sun was rather annoying tho.

Fort Rock-
What valuable insider information are you going to lay on us now? The forum has been pretty quiet lately, do what you do best- wake things up a bit!

There are many new management changes ongoing at Clear Channel.  Maybe if you promote yourself and become indispensable, you can become the Coast to Coast Forum Advisor.

Too bad there's not any "night shift host" changes. Noory fucking sucks!

I don't believe Noory knows ANYTHING about guns. He just knows the phrase "conceal carry permit" and he tosses it around.

Most REAL men who shoot or arm themselves talk guns - what they like, what they don't, models, etc... George Noory is clueless and he lies.

I like guns and have a few of them, but as a rule most gun owners/collectors don't talk about them in a public venue, gun shows aside. Instead they sit around the garage drinking beer & smoking cigars and talking amongst themselves about the latest "shootin iron" they bought.

I bet Noron couldn't tell you jack shit about any kind of gun, except his Red Rider BB gun.

The whole thing with having a concealed weapons permit is so you can have the piece concealed. It's common sense not to talk about the fact that you are carrying a firearm.

This dolt goes on national radio and tells everyone he has a CWP and carries often. $5 says he doesn't have a permit. The people who do have a permit don't advertise the fact. Noron is scared of something- most likely pissed off listeners. He needs to take that money and go buy some speech therapy.

The Fred Bell and Glenn Kimball tribute shows went so well George is going ot make it a regular feature the last hour on Fridays.

Depending on the celeb that dies, George will have Tommy play a random hour from a movie or TV show they were in, speeches, random tracks from their CDs, whatever they can find.  He's considering similar Monday and Thursday tributes for birthdays and anniversaries..

Not surprising in the least! Snoron is terrified of the callers as one or two unscripted callers could slip in and throw a wrench in the gears of the show. Nevermind- Noory does that pretty well on his own.

Slightly inebriated so all I will say is -------- Fuck Noory! He sucks.

Good Times! I am listening to last nights show on Coast Insider.

George is soo interested on the Dark Side and he is getting very inquisitive and comments something like "Now, Don't think I am being judgmental . . (as if to make it sound like he is getting down and dirty in his interviewing)  He must conceive that he is throwing out hard ball interview quesitons.  Somehow, even in his most direct and pointed questioning, he is speaking Whiffle Balls.

George, he is heating up and searing, on the dark side.   He is on fire!

Pants on fire?

I was sound asleep after having worked all night. My mother called, waking me up in the process and proceeded to tell me what was going on. I get up and walk out to the living room just in time to see one of the towers fall.

It was damn spooky seeing the paper hawkers with their "extra'' editions, the lack of air travel, ( I lived in the flight path of one of FL's largest airports). I stayed glued to the television until the time I had to go to work. In the Co. truck I listened to Phil Hendrie & Art Bell do their 9-11 shows. Very surreal time.

Fort Rock sucks, and I'm glad to see him gone. It didn't help when there were 500 or so Photoshops of FR's swollen face in every thread.

IMO- He doesn't have cult status, but more a 'supreme troll' status.

Tonight's show is about voltage medicine to improve health.  I wonder if they will conduct some voltage on George's head to see if he can be a better host

I fully expect a contingent of $cientologists to call in and talk about the benefits of large quantities of auditing using the E-meter.

That's the guy I saw cleaning the bathroom in the Ann Arbor, MI Bill Knapps restaurant years ago. Who knew Noory moonlighted as a custodian. I suppose it makes since considering all that diarrhea of the mouth he has.

i used to see this guy all over the web 10 years ago.  not so much anymore.  i wonder if he was able to parlay this thing into some cash at any point.

He had a book deal a couple years back. I remember strolling around in Book-A-Million/A-Million-Yuppies and saw his book with "Go Fuck Yourself" right on the cover sitting on display in the center aisle next to a John Grisham book. After hearing the Starbucks rant which was pure gold IMO, I bought the book. It's a decent read. Seems to me you can buy some Cafe press merch of his too.

His more recent videos lack the enthusiasm & power that his older ones have. Perhaps he quit ordering the side order of angioplasty with his breakfast specials and doesn't have the energy for videos anymore.

I still say some of the best Hendrie bits are when he starts cracking up while doing the bit. Such as the Jay Santos Operation Move bit, Bob Green's "Windows on the Boulevard" Table to Table bit, and more than a few Bobbie Dooley bits.

Hendrie's attempt to not laugh only gets me laughing all the more.

Bounder,
Thanks for the link to the Counterfeit Dreams book, I will have to pick that up. For the record I'm not a Scientologist, but have studied them over the years due to the fact that I'm surrounded by them & their "Flag Land Base".

Williams S. Burroughs of Naked Lunch fame, was one of the people to reach "Clear" early on. He did not stick with Scientology, but he said that some of the things Scientology taught him did help him to a certain extent as far as thought processes etc.

I'll go as far to say not all Scientology is bad, and I do think some of the 'tech' could be good in certain situations, but it's the greedy money hungry attitude coupled with the whole spirits of dead aliens inhabiting us that I find not up to par.

But items such as the Purification & Introspection Rundowns are dangerous IMO.

I just found out that Alex Jones had Al Jourgensen on the show from the band Ministry. That should've been a good show, but I need to find a podcast of it, since I don't listen to Alex Jones.

Joke or not, I hate to accuse someone of this, but I think George says this kind of dumb stuff because he is a closeted homosexual and doesn't want to raise doubts about his manliness. That's why he mentions that he has three kids all the time. Ugh. Regardless, it's inappropriate. He has no material for the show or these stupid video chats, so he asks for dates and pictures of women. Loser.

I think the whole theory of Noron being a homo has been kicked around, and it probably does have some merit. He does seem to be a bit too friendly with "Tommy". Just my opinion but I think you're spot on.

Your post has been filed in thank you for the buzz kill file.

Not trying to be a buzz kill, but calling it as I see it with all this paparazzi like reporting! I've spent more than my fair share of time listening to Art Bell over the years and still miss him on C2C, but what's posted on their Farcebook status updates with family & friends should stay there. I'm sure when the Bells posted all that they didn't figure people would be frothing at the mouth to deliver the latest gossip from their FB page.

Public figure or not, would you like your FB entries posted up on a website with play by play analysis of your stuff by people who have no clue as to what is really going on?

I still say he will do nothing related to radio. In fact, I so firmly believe that I have $5000 that says he will not return to the air.

This thread has turned into a lame version of TMZ.

Not sure how it is your parts of the country but here there have been a large contingent of old bands trying to revive themselves and go on tour-

Def Lepperd, Journey, Foreigner, Night Ranger are among the acts coming to town that sucked back then and sure as hell suck now. Bob Seger & Bob Dylan are two more that need to hang it up. Y'alls day in the sun was many years ago. Please stay in the shadows now.

I'm more into the Metal/Industrial side of music and some of those I'm glad to see go away like Nine Inch Nails. But that's a different topic.

the creepiness is coming from the play by play about Art's personal life

I have to agree this thread has taken on a weird vibe. Just because Art & wife are talking about landscaping and selling off some stuff doesn't mean one way or another about Art's return to radio, if at all.

It appears people are reading too much into too little and making assumptions off the little snippets of info being posted on their Farcebook pages.

i think hendrie needs to get back together with the people he had behind the scenes just before he left the air in 2006.  when you look at the in studio videos from that era, you learn just exactly how much those people really did contribute to the show.

however, none of this can overcome the fact that phil now seems to hate his fans, and i think that's the biggest problem facing his show today.

The production staff on the old Hendrie Show was great. And whoever picked the bumper music had good taste, Ministry, Lard, Tool, KMFDM were just a few of the great bands I'd hear.

I forget the guy's name but one of Hendrie's staff moonlighted at Costco and Phil did a role plying bit with Harvey Wireman and the Costco worker/Hendrie Staff person. Pure gold. It may have been Mike Shaffer but I'm not 100% sure.
