I would say that 80% of the people posting on the political forum at Ellgab are conservatives.  We have one poster way out in left field and maybe one or two others who are liberal.  Everybody else is conservative.  I've never had a problem posting on Ellgab at all.

Many posters don't post political views at all so I'm not sure where you guys and gal are getting the idea that it is a liberal site.  Yes, some threads are removed but that happens on GLP too and they pretty far right too.  I'm not a fan of the practice myself but I can see why Bart might want not to let things get too far out of control.  It's his forum.

Honestly, I "browse" the discourse but my goal here is to share political humor with like minded individuals.
I ignore most personal attacks - especially those directed at me -- I simply don't care.
Toots has a good heart but she is letting her temper get the best of her. If I were Jewish, and I saw those posts, I may have the same response.
The greater chance is that I would not visit bellgab, as I have recommended to her in personal correspondence.

I enjoyed the Gabcast and MV did provide perspective on the two forums. I am not surprised by some of his observations. Fun show and I look forward to more.

After reading the posts from a member of the 'others' (a little Lost reference) - I am happy to remain a faithful Bellgabber. I have had my disagreements and been called names, but that is better than being in a safe space straitjacket in my book.
