meh its really easy to shut off the forced windows 10 update

ArJuna

I predict Microsoft will force Windows 10 users to pay a monthly or annual licensing fee in a year or two.  i think Windows 8 is intended to be the last permanent Windows license.  It will be just another reason to hate Microsoft.

I will stay away from Windows 10.

Nice to encounter some one else knows this.  i don't think Grohl played as payback...he was a fan.  the dude from System of a Down was going to do it.

I saw Killing Joke in 1989, one of the loudest concerts I ever went to. My ears were ringing like crazy afterwards. Should have worn earplugs for that one.

Uh oh don't tell some of the posters here about Shatner's view on global warming!

Art Bell, Kevin Mitnick, and x-Files return.  The only thing that makes this not 1999 is that I'm not smoking Camel lites.

i still havent gotten my win 10
Neither have I.  I'm still a little apprehensive about it.  I hope Kevin talks about it a little more before he goes on with his awesome story.

Just worm holed Art asking him to get deep with Kevin into the Dark Web and the FBI's claims that they own it now.

This deer in the scope is getting shot in every show this week.
Yeah, it is getting a little old. I know season is about to start but...most of that is "buck fever" or first time jitters. I doubt a psychic connection/quantum connection between shooter and shootee? But I do, despite proof, think some true about the "looking at you" "yawning" etc stuff. Though, if one tries it out, in public, you risk being labeled or arrested (or at least called a creep.)

Did you move on to Newports?

I wish I knew stuff about computers. I lost it all after 1992.

Ahhh, my days of BBS and software testing for Apple....the good old days!!! When everyone was a freak and payed an enormous amount of money to buy a computer instead of a car. OR some of them didn't pay...Kevin, maybe?

I wasn't into it back then (and still not knowledgeable now) but I continually overpay for my Macs, it seems.  ;D

I knew of them back in the 80's but it was just by osmosis.  A coworker of mine really turned me on to them about 10 years ago.  Love them.  In my top 10.  8)

That is true.  Maybe it's a matter of tempo...key change.  i dunno.

It became a serious problem, it's why most of the music of the 00's was so awful. Due to fear of sounding like something from the past, bands could only copy each other. This led to things like 10,000 metal bands that all sounded exactly the same.

This decade, they've said fuck it and are just doing it anyway, even putting in musical jokes over it. And, well, music is better for it now.

The thing about win 10, if it were so great why even call it 10? Why not 8.2? Why not just make 7 or 8 better? It seems to me that something must be up with it, that they give it freely, I've read even when you turn off updates it goes kooky on you and monitors you more, but just tries to hide it?

I hope he does -- that would be interesting.  And I hadn't heard about the FBI claim.  If they do, then I'm guessing there's a newer, darker web, that they're unaware of.

Why do you keep having such intense reactions anytime dark web is brought up?

Killing Joke were liked in many music circles back in the 80s, it was hard to find people that were not a fan after hearing them.

I swear my hearing was damaged at a Spinal Tap concert (not kidding).  All those stacked Marshalls. : ;D ;D ;D  Damn Nigel and his turning it up to 11.

I caught this guy a couple of times lying about his education/college background. Other than that, it would be hard to know because if a programmer doesn't work out they will fire them in 2 months (so someone being with the company only a short time wouldn't gather much notice).
Anyway, he recommended to me some good cop stuff while he was there.
I agree, code jockeys have a high turnover rate to begin with. Either the programmer gets bored or the company finds out they're no good.

Late to the show...we are talking computers and I hear what sounds like Kevin Mitnick's voice. What'd I miss? Are we all going to die?

It maybe now called deepest darkest spiderweb.
