A lot has happened since Art last talked to Alper about this topic. Honestly i am not at all convinced that consciousness is localized in the physical brain. From all indications consciousness appears to be a non local phenomenon.

He's exhibiting a flaw in his theory. He's comparing musicality, which is not an inherent biological feature of the brain, to the god part of the brain, which he's claiming IS an inherent biological feature. The two are not comparable.
