I think by now we can establish the fact that Senda is actually a living alien incubator. This theory would explain his physical dimensions  as the 'alien' egg inside his massive girth grows. He truly was abducted and implanted with a fertilized alien life form.

Explains his attraction towards 'alien' objects, photos, glowing alien heads and pizza. All real aliens love human pizza.

Girlfriend Kathy is a mutant alien life form who has been programmed to help deliver and nurse the young life form until it can form it's own human like container.

He's got one thing going for him, he has to physically walk places which does help somewhat with his weight issue. Problem is should he become unable to walk more than a few feet he'll really start putting on the weight. And as he becomes larger more health issues will arise and he could become a bed ridden 600 pound invalid in no time at his current food intake level. With the increased demand on his heart and internal organs at his age could be the final curtain call for the "Guy from Pittsborg"

Actually today's modern passenger trains have already prepared for a situation involving a deceased passenger. They keep a box of super duty 50 gallon trash bags with extra strong wrap ties to seal the body's decomposing odors while chilling down the corpse in what looks like a freezer on it's side near the end of the train. It is not uncommon for body fluids and gasses to escape and spreading to adjoining cars. Emergency gas masks are available from train personnel if necessary.
