We would smuggle in little 'parachutes' filled with powdered chocolate milk to add to the cartons but had to do so very carefully as it was a forbidden practice and the teacher would make her rounds looking to see if we had adulterated our milk with the contraband.

I'm impressed with any school that deems powdered chocolate milk "contraband."  Did you attend school at Stalag Luft VI?

Zoltan would be a good immortal Prez. Andy not so much. Unless solely immortal VP because they don't do anything anyway

I'm sorry I missed the Zoltan interview.  I'm actually quite interested in trans-humanist ideas.  Back when I used to try and help mitd I suggested several guests on that theme which went nowhere.

Bilderberg conference tomorrow.

"The world’s most elite conference this year will discuss something called “the precariat”

The “precariat” is a term popularized by British economist Guy Standing, describing a growing class of people who feel insecure in their jobs, communities, and life in general.

They are…
…the perpetual part-timers, the minimum-wagers, the temporary foreign workers, the grey-market domestics paid in cash… the techno-impoverished whose piecemeal work has no office and no end, the seniors who struggle with dwindling benefits, the indigenous people who are kept outside, the single mothers without support, the cash labourers who have no savings, the generation for whom a pension and a retirement is neither available nor desired."

Then I must withdraw my support from Andrew. Unless he travels to the end of time and ensures us he won't be necessary

During lunch hour we had assigned seating at these lunch tables.

We were not allowed to get up without permission. Once the lunch bell rang signaling recess we were not allowed to get up and leave. We had to wait for the lunch monitor to pass by our table and 'slap it' with her hand. Sometimes she would do the fake slap kind like going to give someone a 'fake' high five and pulling away.

We would all jump up momentarily then re-seat ourselves and wait for her to give us the real dismissal.

Rough times. The internet did not exist in these days.

other topics to be discussed include China , cyber security and 'migration' according to the article I've read.

They probably hold a closed door meeting after the fact to discuss what the other 'elites' have brought to the table...

( maybe )

from their website.

The key topics for discussion this year include:
Current events
China
Europe: migration, growth, reform, vision, unity
Middle East
Russia
US political landscape, economy: growth, debt, reform
Cyber security
Geo-politics of energy and commodity prices
Precariat and middle class
Technological innovation

I just wish the original "ex"-Nazis, corporate leaders, and royals met at a Howard-Johnsons, Hotel Campanile, or Holiday Inn. Would sound so much more banal. They aren't as smart as we think!

Interesting.

Has anyone else followed the Rossi E-Cat LENR ( Low Energy Nuclear Reaction ) device that apparently is working?

Lockheed / Skunk works or was it Boeing had also announced they were working on a LENR device.

explains to some degree why we have the oil execs at the meeting.

"Andrew D. Basiago, 48, stated today that analyzing the
image from Mars that contains dark, filamentous objects
that might be trees, he has found a speckled “gremlin”
striding past one of the stands of “trees” in the image.
The being appears to be intelligent and bipedal. It has a
mottled complexion that has been noted on at least two
other Martian humanoids found by MARS. It is walking
in front of one of the stands of “trees” along the “tree”
line while carrying a small human figure in its arms.
“This startling discovery might be the definitive proof of
life on Mars,” Basiago said. “This image circled the
globe after objects that resembled trees were found in it.
Lo and behold, we now find that hidden among the trees
is a sentient being for which the trees are habitat.”
"

How the F could he come to the conclusion that it appears to be an intelligent creature from a still picture shot....

Goddamnit where is my herb when i need it.
