This is Bibi Aisha.  When she was 12 years old she who was forced to marry an old man and was caught trying to run away. Her uncle held her down while her father cut her ears and nose off before leaving her for dead.  She managed to crawl as far as her other uncle's house, but he refused to help.  Finally she was taken to an American base where she was treated for over two months before being sent for re-constructive surgery in the US.
