Amy did good.

I agree...sounded professional and well rehearsed... Leo sounded like he never rehearsed...

Brava, Amy!!  I was splashing around so couldn't listen to the pieces, but heard a cheerful, dulcet, lilting voice and had LA been doing the Newz, I wouldn't have even noticed.  Very pleasant, looking forward to really listening next time. :)

Dave Distler needs to do the news

I almost felt as though the last line of that ad was gonna be 'tonight. On Nova.'

And i would have been okay with that.

Much better than Keith's overlong Time Traveler bit.

Was outside looking at the Pleiades with my telescope listening inattentively then realized I was hearing a professional newscast.  Then I realized it was Amy.  She sounded fantastic.

Hmm... it's like Leo Ashcraft never existed. Although Amy is pronouncing words correctly so I don't think she's doing it right.

Leo who?   ::)

Amy's news break was great! She reads it purposefully with nice pacing and a beautiful tone.
Well done!

Yeah, a step up.

I'm a little bit behind the live show. I think Amy was awesome. Great job!

Yeah, a step up.

I'd say about a thousand steps up. Leo was completely unlistenable to me.

Being a weather nerd, I thought the science behind The Day after Tomorrow was atrocious.  The movie itself was fun however.

If you look close, you realize that this is Art without the glasses.

I didn't mind Leo at first. He had a good newscasters voice. The mispronounciations killed it for me not to mention the meltdown.

I agree, Leo who?

Welcome to the family Amy.

WOTR

Its called the "darkmatter news network" now?  Anybody check Leo's facebook to see if he has melted down yet (again?)

If you treat the source book as something akin to one of those alt history tomes then it's also a fun read. The science behind both was horrendous.
