Hi, Hillcrest. It's nice to see you.

tmock00

I'm so happy to have found this forum!

I've been listening to Coast to Coast since the early days and remember when every night was filled with the genius that was Art Bell.  Nobody could pull me in and keep me listening like Art could - and still can.  He has a unique way of making almost any topic interesting.  Not only that, but the bumper music totally rocked, the unscreened calls from listeners kept me on the edge and the guests were a wide and eclectic mix.

When Noory came on board to take the helm, I gave him a shot, but it wasn't long before my attention began to wane.  After years of being a long time Coast to Coast listener I thought it was just me; that I wasn't quite "getting it," that I'd somehow lost interest in the show. Then, Art came back to host one night and I realized it wasn't me afterall - it was George. The difference between the interview styles, the way George and Art interact with guests and callers, the way the entire show flows, is like night and day and while no two people do things the same way, Noory is just a horrible host.

It was then that I understood my beloved Coast to Coast had been hijacked by someone who just didn't seem to have the passion or the talent to carry it forward.

So, I'm glad to be here; I'm glad to find like-minded Coast to Coast fans who miss a good show and who know George is simply running it into the ground.

The sad thing is that Noory appears to be entrenched, for whatever reason, despite the fact that you can't find a Noory supporter within a country mile.  The online petition to throw Noory overboard was half full of cranksters, so any corporate recipient would be inclined to immediately dismiss it. Our best hope is that someone from the corporate parent stops by a message board like this and wakes up finally to realize that, under Noory, they have a deteriorating asset on their hands.  The trends in their listener statistics can't be all that great under the clown.

i know art is aware of this site, as i was once emailed by him personally.  i also know that the people at premrad are aware of this site.  however, as you have noticed, it's done no good.

haha, i forgot to say welcome, tmock.

I gave Noory a shot for the first couple of years, and honestly I think he used to be okay in the beginning and has been on a massive decline ever since.

The absolute lamest occurances on the show, that sealed the deal of Noory's incompetence once and for all for me, were the regular appearances of Dr. Morgus and the time he did that awful show where he was "Dexter Monterey" (his future self).
What the hell was he thinking? How grossly infantile...

Thanks for the warm welcome, everyone!  :)

I am inclined to say that Noory runs C2C like a bunch of three ring circus clowns blowing up a clown car.  But, the analogy doesn't work because circus clowns are entertaining.

It is possible that the C2C "back room" people truly run the show.  Noory is the type to show up for work every day 10 minutes late with coffee stains on his partially tucked-in shirt.  So many of "his" inane ideas for the show require more than one person to reach that level of incompetence.

I thought I’d tack onto this post instead of starting a similar topic. Been lurking on here for a few months and finally decided to join in.

I love Coast to Coast. I've been listening since early 1999 when Art's unique style and subject matter got me hooked. I felt like I knew him personally and looked forward to "hanging out" with him every night. Noory is not urber horrible, he certainly has a different style than Art did. With George, I'll listen if the topic interests me that night. But with Art, I would listen to that first hour of open lines regardless of whether or not I was interested in the main guest.

I am a big Punnett fan for much of the same reason as I like Art, I feel like I know Ian personally. I've e-mailed him a few times over the years and he has always responded.

Hopefully I'll have some insightful thoughts to add on various topics.

Talk to you all soon,
- Paul, Ontario Canada

I like Ian as well.  I think of all the hosts, he's the most personable and he seems to really enjoy the opinions, camaraderie and correspondence of his fans.

Glad you've decided to come out of hiding and join us!  :)

watup, awguy.  glad you've joined up.  new blood is good blood.

and by the way, sorry to any other new users i've failed to welcome.  life is kinda crazy at the moment, and i sometimes have trouble keeping up.  however, know that everyone is enthusiastically welcome.

I have been listening to C2C for about 8 or 9 years now.  I love Art Bell and think he is the best.  I really enjoy Ian Punnet interviews.  He asks great questions and is very attentive to what the guests are saying.  He really gets involved in the interviews.  Knapp is great too.  Barbara Simpson was also great....What happened to her???  Rolley James was great also...A while back when she was hosting and was relating the big story of how that famous madame was "fingered" by the cops as running a high dollar escort service I about died laughing so hard.  Anybody remember that comment?  Rollie has a great sense of humor.

Best interview by Art was the one with the rocket guy, can't remember his name, who was a boy genius who launched rockets in a cow pasture and was taken to area 51 to see alien craft.  I always wondered if this guy was legit.  Also liked the Amityville interview with Lutz and the interview with the guy that was abducted by aliens.  Last name Walton....can't remember his first name.

Guests that I think are full of crap are Sylvia Brown and anyone else doing that "carny" act.  Evylyn Paglini.  The remote viewer Ed Dames.  Steven Quail.  Oh, and the lady that goes to funerals so she can see dead peoples spirits.

JC is a fake caller...nothing more than a Phil Hendrie wanna-be.  The Mel's hole guy and the Bugs character(guy who supposedly shot bigfoot) I think may be the same guy.....entertaining for sure but all BS.

I enjoy listening to RC Hoagland because he is so pompous and full of himself.  I think he is a smart guy and wonder if he is somewhat delusional or just trying to make a buck.

Well.....those are some of my thoughts.  I enjoy listening to C2C.  What are your thoughts?

C110

Yes...I think it may be Adaire.  Do you think he is legit?

i heard some stuff debunking him a few years ago, but i don't recall specifically what was said or by whom.  i'd like to know, myself.

Hi C110!

I agree with you on most of your points.  I do like any kind of psychic or prediction show though.  I dunno why...they're entertaining to me.

Do you listen live at night or on the podcasts?

b_dubb

i think i agree with most of what you said.  Hoagland is definitely a piece of work.  a 'smart' guy but he's really just a self important ass.  i saw a 'lecture' he gave at the UN (i'm sure Hoagie rented a small conference room off to the side somewhere or in the attic).  the giant leaps he was making were just insane.  never made any real attempt to connect anything.  his attitude seemed like ... let's see if the unenlightened can keep up.  ultimately he just came off as a self important jackass who was obviously delusional.  he wants to be the guy with all the answers to all the questions ... but sorry Hoagie ... it ain't happening

when i hear hoagland... CLICK... i turn it off.

Hello Punkin Pie!  I listen to C2C live at night.  Hello b-dubb!  Yeah I think it is Hoagland's cockiness and the way he speaks that is entertaining for me.  Again, smart guy...but his ideas about the face on Mars is nutty.  There are plenty of rock and cliff formations all across the US that resemble a indian head, some kind of animal or what ever.  Most are even named after what they resemble.  All natural formations.  His photo of a rock that HE says looks like a robots head......IT IS JUST A ROCK!

For me the best shows are the ones where a guest has a story such as Adaire, Lutz, Bugs, Mel, Travis Walton, Bob lazzar, the Ice Man author, Corral castle, DB Cooper etc. etc.

I would love to hear Punnet interview Nando Parradow (sp?) author of the book Miracle in the Andes.  For me it is the greatest true story of survival.
It is the story about the rugby team that crashed in the Andes.

Hey all..

Been lurking on the forums for a while and thought i'd finally sign up and contribute.

I'm 23 years old.. I've been a coast2coast fan for quite some time now.. probably since i was 14 or 15..

At first I thought George Noory was pretty cool.. then I started to realize what a moron he is. All of his normal callers are so lame. The stories they tell are so stupid and George just eats it up like theres no tomorrow. I can't take it anymore.. callers like "UFO Phil" drive me nuts. I mean.. WHO IS THIS GUY??

I'm glad to finally be registered on the forums!
