I don't know why, but I have the dvd and I watch this movie about twice a year and it never gets old. I'm a sucker for anything serial killer. I also like Don Knott's movies.

thanks, Chief, I've never heard of this one. It's right up my alley.

No, there's no sexy girls in it.  I watched Ishtar for the first time about 5 months ago.  I don't think it is terribly bad just bad.  Beatty and Hoffman trying hard to be a modern day Hope and Crosby and failing miserably.  Blame It on Rio is good exploitation at the very least.

For bad movies, there can only be one king.  Jesus Franco.  Always a somewhat interesting and prolific  filmmaker (240 Movies)  and sometimes can put together a good film if he's got the budget.  His films can sometimes be erotic too.  I enjoy some of his earlier efforts when he was bucking censorship. However, he has made some terrible films.  Die Marquise de Sade is terribly boring as is The Perverse Countess.  His Count Dracula with Christopher Lee, Herbert Lom and Klaus Kinski is somewhat faithful but awful with overuse of the zoom lens and no budget.  His main fault is the latter.  He thinks it is arty when it is just shitty.  Who wants to see a blurry out- of-focus picture especially when it comes to beautiful girls like Soledad Miranda and Lina Romay?  Still his Vampyros Lesbos and Lorna the Exorcist are great erotic films.  His early horror efforts like The Awful Dr. Orloff , The Sadistic Baron von Klaus and the Diabolical Dr. Z are classics of Eurohorror.

Incidentally he was a second unit director on Orson Welles' Falstaff  aka Chimes at Midnight and the aborted Don Quixote so he had some talent.

I talk badly about him but I always want to catch any that I haven't seen and I rewatch the better ones.  For good camp, you can't go wrong with The Erotic Rites of Frankenstein

One movie others think horrible that I like is Nudist Colony of the Dead.  Did we already have a thread on movies other people like but we think horrible?

I usually agree w people about the overall quality of entertainment, but often my "take" on them or parts thereof can be very different from that of the rest of the audience.  I laugh where they don't, don't laugh where they do, etc.

"Witchboard"- actually somewhat scary, if you are in the right mood. But also cheesey. And you got the "Whitesnake video," "Bachelor Party" and MLB player domestic abuser chick.
In the same sorta era: "Stonecold," even though I hate ou. The Boz at his best.

I went to college a few years after it came out and was surprised at the number of people I met there that thought this was a sleeper classic. Cringe! Real Genius was also big with that crowd back then but I'm not sure I'd classify it as bad. It's perhaps a more apt example of a sleeper classic.

Well since we’re on 80s college drunken sexfest movies...All trying to captitalize in the genre Animal House created.

Maybe not horrible, but certainly bizarre.  The second coming of Christ, in this case a zoot suit wearing Savior who returns to Earth via parachute in the American Old West.  Quite a few actors you'll recognize

Pretty odious but I'd watch it again in heartbeat if it was on

CityTV played this one a lot as well as Private Lessons in the late 80s early 90s. Sometimes back to back or sandwiched in between one or the other and another one called Hot Dog Cops.

RIP CityTV.
