You gotta love that opening bass riff and then the band really kicks in half way through. Plus what a cast!

Yeah, it would have to make my top 10 list and there probably isn't a funkier TV intro. The guy on guitar is really good too. In fact, I've been thinking about this avatar change for awhile now.  ;)

Yeah but Cock Gobbler Kevin Spacey killed off his own show.

30 FUCKING YEARS AGO
And to make it more ironic is that it was roughly 30 years ago that the original House of Cards mini-series came out. So the show they ripped off was happening at, roughly, the same time that homo Spacey was trying to rip the shorts off a kid.

Several versions were used? What was best?
ps: there is a lack of good tv shows now, I can't recall a current tv show that has things like pickups, or cars, jumping stuff, explosions, people getting punched, and chicks in bikinis. No wonder ratings are down.

I think they all were low budget!

Awesome!

By chance did you like Doctor Doctor as well?

I never seen it.  It seems familiar though.

I didn't notice S.W.A.T. in the thread.  That intro was awesome.  8)  When I was I kid it prompted and me my friends and I to imitate the drop and roll.  :)

That show was a crack up.  Just watched the intro again.  Forgot about the hot redhead slut milf in the final moments.  Wonder who she was.

So many good memories of TV shows, I liked Get a Life, a bud of mine at the time LOVED that show lol.

My selection is an underrated cop show called "Crime Story" which has a regular Noory bumper (which I actually like) Runaway as their theme song.

I recall that after Miami Vice, I think, and loved that intro. But, for some reason, didn't watch past that after a few. Missed some episodes, lost the plot (I think more involved than the usual Miami Vice etc type of show) and then, back then, if you missed you couldn't just find online etc. But agreed great intro.

For ShayP, I think? Wasn't it he who had an older Angela Landsbury fetish, of sorts?

For those of us who didn’t get cable or MTV til the late 80s...

I really didn't discover Bonanza until '84 or so during my Senior year in high school.  I'd go to school for half a day and then I'd unwind a bit by watching Bonanza usually with my Mom by my side.  Good times.

I liked Bonanza, Gunsmoke, Rawhide, The Rebel, The Rifleman, Bat Masterson, Paladin and even The Big Valley.

From that weird period of time where everything was truckers, CBs, and, somehow, apes (I know in some cases orangutans) were often paired with them.

And it began here before any monkey business was needed as a gimmick, however they did haul an elephant in one episode.

Love most of those shows but really only watched a lot of the Rifleman when I was really young.  Unless it was an Abbott and Costello movie, very little kept me glued to the tube in my younger years for more than half hour .  Star Trek was an exception to that rule.

Weird how smell and music are connected. Every time I hear the Bonanza intro I smell chlorine. During the summers it was on (syndication) and I would get back from being, basically, dumped at the pool and spending hours there and get home and it would be on. Now I would question the maintenance schedule at the club because there was a suspicious amount of chlorine that I would smell on me almost still wet and burnt by sun (and hot vinyl seats and watch for those hot buckles) but running down stairs to watch Bonanza. Haha.

We didn't get to watch much tv. There were 5 kids and one small 9" color tv. I watched westerns whenever I could. Roy Rogers, Gene Autrey, Death Valley Days.  During the last few years I have seen many episodes I missed as a kid.

75% of the time we were at my grandparents.  My grandmother watched her soap operas but the only other time the tv was on was when compan was over to watch a baseball game or Sunday evening for Disney.

I didn't see many episodes of Star Trek until much later. In fact I have been watching them all on Amazon Prime.

Hi Venus here.  Hope this works.  My first acting Job haha . . .

There's a remake of this in the works and I don't think anybody will like it.  ;D  Nonetheless...a classic.  :D
