I'm still laughing over the way the guy is jumping around.  ;D

Man declared a hero for saving rabbit along Highway 101 from massive wildfire

Rabbit save? Fires? N Korea? Chinese mission to the moon. CONNECTED! Recall RCH, prior to being fired from C2C (Chinese buying up Hollywood, iHateMedia,Inc debt, and Norry wanting to be Hollywood star) and the "carrots" and "rabbit" stuff with Obama and the POPE and China RCH ranted about? (Frankly I still didn't quite understand but there was some theory in the "model")

It hasn't got, as far as I know, though the real Joose area- the porn valley. Kidding? Discuss. There has been quite some speculation, in "Joose" press even, about why porn and for what ends (back when it wasn't free though that brings up why still when it is, essentially, free now?) I'm kidding, of course, there could be no politics or agenda behind it.

This anyone who's not the chosen people are cattle shit has got to go!

The only (so far) fire here is quite a bit east. But my place sits on top of a canyon full of brush as dry as a tinderbox. And the devil winds are still blowing. The Santa Ana and fire red flag warnings were forecasted to end last night. Now extended through Sunday night. I remain vigilant and a little nervous

Stay safe.  We are having snow here today in the deep South.   Hopefully, a storm will come soon and ease the problems in California.

Thanks, darling. Can you FedEx me some of that snow? Enough to spread on my rooftop

I was joking.  Poor taste probably.  I have an uncle-in-law who might be in danger's way.  Author, screenwriter and producer who lives in those hills.  Hope he's ok.

Anything I might have seen?

He wrote for SCTV and produced the '96 Olympics for TV.  Wrote a bunch of books for the Soprano's TV show.  He lost use of his legs in '97 and pretty much just writes books now.

Can you go somewhere else?  Conditions can change so fast!  The flood slogan where I used to live was "Get out while you can".  The Red Cross is where I went once.  But sleeping in the car was way more comfortable.  Working full-time with three pets with me.

Do you have a cellar?  They should invent household "decoy piles" as a last resort, to lure fires away from structures.

SCTV?  Used to laugh my ass off.  Grateful for those laughs.  Soprano books?  Huh, I'll look those up.

Thanks Bubba

Yeah, he was buds with the SCTV crowd and also Martin Mull and Fred Willard.  He wrote the screenplay to a Sopranos video game too.  Here's the big thing I remember him for as far as the Sopranos is concerned.  Allen Rucker is his name.

Well, no shit.  I actually had that cook book.  Given to me as a Christmas present.  Guessing that Mr. Rucker is extremely prolific during his career.  I actually recognize the name.  Small fucking world, bro.

I'm sure it has something do with 19 and a half rabbits.  I'll save us the gore by not posting the half a rabbit.

One time, my neighbor's apartment complex burned up.  In one unit, all possessions were destroyed except for a rosin ornament.  It gave me the creeps that fire could not destroy, not even singe, that decoration.  I wondered if it would live forever, non-biodegradable.  But then someone told me those things fall apart in the dishwasher.

Since the composition was burn-proof, maybe homes in fire areas should have a rosin room or rosin exterior with some sort of smokeproofing.

When I woke up today, alone in the pet-filled house, I went to the attached garage after a couple hours.  Someone had left a candle burning, which was still burninv itself all the way through to the wood veneered table next to a pile of napkins and an incendiary, a lighter.  A couple feet from an operating electric heater.  I found the guy from the back house and asked him if he had noticed it.  "Yeah, it's fine" he replied.  I let it burn, next to a bucket of water.  The flame went out, although wax pooled on the table.  I singed a napkin, as a message to the people who sit there.

This is the second place this year where people I live with don't believe in candle holders and attending to lit candles.  At the other place, I came home many times to unattended candles burning, broken snoke alarms, and pets.  All alone. Once, a hole was burned onto a bookcase from a candle.  Directly above a black-melted power outlet which still had a melted heater cord plugged in.  At that place, I used to do security checks before sleeping.  I usually do here, too, but this was the middle of the morning.

I wish I could afford a remote access sight and sound camera on my room and the house, at least until my 17-year old pet passes away.  I'll try to provide an assortment of candleholders.  There are two or three smoke alarms on this side of the house.

I am, Jojo, thanks. Today I could see the smoke coming up from a fire in the hills in the northeast quite a distance away.  And the wind is blowing it due west into the ocean. Less wind last couple of days and many of the fires are beginning to be contained. So much damage and so many homes destroyed. Hope this particular catastrophe for so many people is coming to an end.

At the next meeting I will talk to our HOA about rosin roofs  ;)

Sorry to report the Thomas Fire is still burning and heading to Santa Barbara. No new fires  in San Diego but supposed to reach 80 degrees and humidity is very low so fire danger persists

Updated 51 mins ago
FILLMORE, Calif. (KABC) -- The Thomas Fire in Ventura and Santa Barbara counties expanded by 2,500 acres overnight as the unrelenting blaze entered its ninth day Tuesday.

Winds pushed the fire west overnight, increasing its total area to 234,200 acres. Fire officials said the blaze is making its way further into Santa Barbara County, threatening the communities of Carpenteria, Summerland, Montecito and surrounding areas.

Incredible fires this year and last.  Glad I split that scene.

Moved 2500 acres overnight?!  Get out while you can...  Are employers giving attendance leniency?

Lionel (usually a rambling outpouring of political opinion) ties in Agenda 21 California clearances with directed weapons and the forced mass movement of populations into ever tighter spaces.  This is one his best.

First there are fires. Then there are mudslides. An old California story but this one is especially bad. At least 13 people dead but many still missing.
