The energy required to produce the required ∆v to escape a gravity well would be significantly reduced if all the mass just went on vacation interminably for a couple weeks every couple of weeks, like the Belgians and Spanish do.

I don't know about those other cats, but when the Belgians do that it's a "working vaycay."   I hear the specific manouevre they use to achieve "orbit" is know as The Belgian Waffle, I think it has to do with the working mass alternating between vacation and working at a highly fluctational rata.

I tried that route awhile ago, apparently you need a Doctorate in Custodial Science to even get the janitorial position (that job never opens up!  Someone has to die, retire or get promoted), knowing someone helps too.  Apparently, my post-thesis work online at the Marshall Islands university doesn't "cut the muster"...

I especially like when people lie about knowing some event (that never happened) because they seek to please the questioner or not seem "out of the loop" on things. I also am gladdened that often the random man on the street is almost always willing to invade or bomb some country; even if the country is made-up, an ally, or etc.
