That's just something else you have no evidence for.

That's pretty much how conspiracy types view the world. Everything normally works perfectly, and the only reason anything goes wrong is due to enemy action. There have been multiple false alarms about incoming missile threats over the years.

blah, blah, blah...conspiracy theory... ::)

It's just not working anymore, is it? :D

P.S. Please be a dear and point out all these other false alarms because I only know of one other and in that case the public didn't find out until months if not years after.

It kind of makes me smile... Hopefully it actually did people good.  It is not often that we get a chance to test out how we would react in this situation- how we might face the possibility of death.  It is not often that we get the chance to test ourselves and consider what will happen when the possibility exists that our world may end or change.

It also may have woken a few people up to the idea of a minimum level of preparedness...

In many ways, these people can consider themselves fortunate that they got to learn a little about themselves and got a chance to consider their futures and their plans.  I refuse to feel any sympathy for people who got a text message on their phone and have to face themselves in the  mirror with the realization that they are completely  and hopelessly unprepared both for 14 days without facebook and for their own death...

You're Canadian. ::)

You sit in a basement all day everyday, drawing the dole, imagine that you could be a doctor and you accuse others of imagining they're more clever? Seriously?

You really think it was a conspiracy!! PLEASE!!! Never breed.

Conspiracy?! No, these are just idiots like you that think they're a lot more clever than they actually are.  ;D

I see, so if Hawaii was attacked in reality the USA wouldn't retaliate? Trump carry on playing golf.

I'll take that as a yes, you hit your head recently.  ;D

Whatever, I realize that with something like this that there must be a deep dark conspiracy angle or so some think.

Yeah, the facts are getting in the way.  ::)

Your words..Verbatim

Seiously,<sic> the "joke" was the "scare."

And? They're not part of the USA? Well maybe not as far as Trump is concerned, they're light brown.

It's not the federal gov't. You seem to be having trouble with basic concepts and keeping things straight. Did you hit your head recently? ???

You said it was a joke. Its what you said. Presumably you'd not shit yourself.

You're doing one of your old tricks, pud: taking my post out of context. It was a response to someone else who called it that, hence my quotation marks, you fucking dimwit!

Hah! I don't know who you are, stranger, but you just broke Doc's heart

Heart breaking might be going to far but I do find it sad that there are so many intellectually deficient and psychologically damaged people, such as yourself, out there.

One of us thought panicking people believing a nuclear attack was imminent was a joke, it wasn't me.  ???

One of us has a reading comprehension problem and it's not me.

Also, cognitive dissonance.  ;)

Anyway, shit for brains, the people that did that was the state gov't of Hawaii. ::)

I can't believe you are trying to pin the blame on Trump for that scare.  You are reaching too far.  Some shlub hit the wrong button.  I'm surprised it hasn't happened before.

How naive but I've come to expect it. There are built in redundancies in the protocol. This wasn't an accident but was done intentionally, yet again, by an out of control state government to try to make Trump look bad. Someone deserves a good, hard punch in the face over this. The kind that would break someone's glasses in half.  ;)

How was thousands of people terrified they were minutes from vaporisation a joke? Or would you react differently?

I didn't call it a joke. You'll have to ask the OP, you disingenuous hack! ::)

No one cares. Also FUCK OFF!!! >:(

Ugh, and Donald just kept playing golf for the 38 minutes during the Hawaii missile scare.

The joke's on us.

Well, the joke's always on someone like you.  ;D

Seiously, the "joke" was the "scare."  ;)

Hmm...

A Richard C. Hoagland Comic Book would obviously be a BIG hit. It could pull in millions of guffaws and maybe even make a few Internet$.

Well, he already has the superhero hair. His superpowers are the ability to manipulate the torsion field with a watch and delaying and confusing people by constantly interrupting them.

..Ermmmm

Ishtar is a far better waste of time.

I went to college a few years after it came out and was surprised at the number of people I met there that thought this was a sleeper classic. Cringe! Real Genius was also big with that crowd back then but I'm not sure I'd classify it as bad. It's perhaps a more apt example of a sleeper classic.

Kubert was the main one on Sgt. Rock.  Kirby, yes could be flashy especially as time went on and his work became more angular especially in the 70's.

Right Joe Kubert not Jack Kirby. It must've been the common initials that threw me. Yeah some of Kirby's stuff on the Fantastic Four and Silver Surfer could be pretty freaky back then, almost psychedelic. Not that I knew that back then but when I've looked at it as an adult it seems pretty clear to me he probably tried dropping acid at some point.
