Just got a long robocaller message from our public health dept saying, in Spanish and English, about staying inside, no non-household groups, if you must go out wear face-covering and stay at least 6 feet away from each other. Virus is rapidly spreading. Go to some website to learn about how to celebrate the 4th of July safely.

I find it interesting, again, how now 4th of July is targeted- as was Easter services, yet protesting, rioting, looting, and mass public kneelings was deemed "essential" and safe by these same politicians and health experts just a short time ago. And, excepting a few sources, most all say the Gentle Giant riots were not a source of this spike a few weeks later.  And why do they exempt homeless populations from mass gatherings, distancing, or mask rules? And allow large corporate conglomerates to remain open but many small businesses to close, even if they served the same products/customers? Why do we see police without masks, even confronting malcontents rioting?

Bastards just closed the Galveston beaches for the holiday weekend

They have the area sealed up pretty good now, all the way through the park.  There is a small crowd gathering on the perimeter a few blocks away including Trumpet Man who now apparently wields a War Ukelele.  Thank God he survived and seems in good spirits but I hope the War Trumpet was not confiscated!

Glad to see that your cover wasn’t blown.

The real question is who wants a race war and why?  Or do they want a race war?  Remember, useful idiots are useful to someone.

I envision a lovely set of posters done in the early seventies concert style to commemorate the new normal.  Here are the catchphrases:

Beatings, the new peaceful form of protest.
Arson, the new peaceful form of protest.
Looting, the new peaceful form of protest.

However that would be buying into the narrative that the MSM wants everyone to believe.  The propaganda from the MSM is designed to divide and conquer.  It really is time to start paying attention to the man behind the curtain.

Do they even read their own drivel?

“ Bloomberg) -- The street protests that spread around the globe following George Floyd’s death while detained by Minneapolis police in late May haven’t sparked the surge in coronavirus infections that public health officials first feared.”

“The event, scheduled for Saturday in Tulsa’s BOK Center, marks the first large indoor public event since the country all but shut down in mid-March to slow the spread of the coronavirus.  In that sense, it’s a test case in using huge indoor arenas to host big public gatherings for sports matches and concerts. Making matters dicier, it’s in the middle of  a city and state where cases have skyrocketed since the beginning of June.”

White guy still has job! Even after the white male Quaker, who even worse is Christian, fired the black Aunt Jemima!

I’m surprised Uncle Ben’s perverted rice made it this long. Especially after Land o Lakes Indian  Native American First Nations Indigenous Persons Maiden was removed from their branding.

Are we still allowed to use “maiden”?

What the hell... Pictures of my fathers "rat fink hat." It is now mine, and while I cannot wear it to formal dress parties, I can wear it skiing. And yes, it gets lots of comments. I recall my father always happy to get a new beer in the days when the liquor stores were run by the government and they carried a very limited selection. Please note the Michelob cap and the "OV."

Maybe this will jog the memory of anybody who had access to Canadian beers a few decades back. The one I really remember is the purple panther cap  (I seem to have missed it in the photos.) Anyhow, purple was his favourite colour, but he referred to it as "panther piss" and I don't know if he was even able to finish the bottles...

***Now if you see me on the slopes, you will know exactly who I am. There were only ever two "rat fink hats" in existence.

Now from Atlanta there is video showing a white girl setting the fire at Wendy’s, and the local blacks shouting “It ain’t us.”

If you watch that video she is trying to get the fire to spread to the front of the store. The back of the store is clearly already on fire.

That is wild! The baby being caught by the 'pilot' not the attempt to remove the Negro. That is like some kind of Harold Lloyd movie. I also find interesting that they call him a "pilot" not an "engineer."

A train “pilot” is the same thing as a cow catcher.

No here it is proposed you will just call your neighborhood volunteer mental health professional who, schedule permitting, will come and blather away at the perp, talking through all his issues, until he begs to be shot to be put out of his misery.

Police estimated 1000 people showed up at 2pm on Saturday to protest/march in my town.

I live in a gated golf course community with its own security. Surrounded by neighborhoods that were built to mimic our community once ours filled up.

It was organized by two teenage menstruators.  I don’t know if they self-identify as female.  It was all organized on Facebook.

The local Kroger had parking lot attendants. I heard they were charging $50 per car to park there.

From the video I saw on the city website it was primarily a bunch of wined up soccer moms wearing fitbits and their kids all walking down the sidewalks maintaining proper social distancing  between family units.  It was the gayest (no offense meant KDubb) thing ever.  Reminded me of a March of Dimes walk I participated in around 1970.

At least they got their steps in.

And at 6pm there was a planned protest for the “immunocompromised and disabled” at the city hall complex. I have no reports of how that went or what steps were taken to protect the immunocompromised or accomodate the disabled people with walkers or wheelchairs.

Crazy times.

If they would just set up a couple of tents around Lafayette Park and pass out MDMA or mushrooms, the world would be a much better place.

Surprised he didn’t dress up like a Minneapolis cop for the occasion.

I think 4chan started that as a troll. We’ll see how many fall for it.

I wonder if the buses of BLM protesters intent on molesting that fellow's livestock yesterday ever showed up.

I really like my .357 carbine.  I 've got a Winchester 94AE Trapper in .357, too, and the Rossi is smoother, after break-in.  Good rifle, for the price.  Light, easy to operate, and accurate.

When I am cutting brush and stuff in the woods I usually carry a 357 or 44 magnum pistol with the first cartridge loaded with ratshot.  I wanted a hardy rifle I could throw on the atv without worrying about a scope getting bounced around or a rain shower.  I love shooting them.  No kick at all and really inexpensive to shoot.

Shotgun for basic home defense.  This is pretty decent, too.  I prefer .357 mag.

I highly recommend Bud's guns and it looks like the 92 is currently in stock, the blued version.

I bought 4 of those in 357 and 44 magnum long and short versions.  I actually ordered them the day before Sandy Hook.  Surprisingly the dealer went ahead and shipped them.

Do you take the word of the cops and Fox News?

I told you how I formed my opinion. I was watching it live while it was being streamed by a protester.  No news commentary. Just someone that streamed 7-8 hours a day every day.  He just happened to be there before and during the time period when they moved the crowd.  He was in the middle of it.  Never once mentioned smelling tear gas.  The reactions of the people he was filming were not reacting like they had been gassed.  As soon as they were pushed back they were right up against the line of cops.  No dousing themselves with water or milk like you may have seen on other nights or in other cities.

Technically it wasn't tear gas, but it was the equivalent just a different substance:

Do you take his word that it was picked up that day in Lafayette Park and not in one of the other areas on any of the previous 3 nights when they had rioting?

It's impossible to have an honest discussion with a right-winger.

Do you see all of those people running around without gas masks?  Have you ever been gassed?  I have.  You don’t stand there waiting to see when the next one is coming if you don’t have a mask.  That is not tear gas.   Those are smoke canisters and pepper guns being fired.
