Don't forget, all. George Noory claimed on-air one night earlier this year during some "past life" discussion that he feels he's the "reincarnation of Marconi" himself. ..

George once said - because of his relationship with his Aunt Shafica, his life long interest in the paranormal, his brilliance in broadcasting, and a couple other BS BS bllet points - that he was 'born' to host C2C.

There really is no end to his suckage.

I wonder if he's gotten the message with the Radio Hall of Fame.  He insisted on 'introducing' Art Bell when AB was inducted (I guess AB was too nice to tell him to F Off?), the next year he volunteered to be MC, then... nothing.
The RHOF inducts both individuals and shows.  To date Art Bell is in, C2C and Geroge Noory are NOT in.  My guess is C2C has been so sullied by George Noory that the show won't make it in either - although apparently a big part of deciding who and what goes in are based on sponsorship of the network, so I wouldn't put it past PremRat to buy George an induction at some point.

The people who come here have no obligation to be AMERICANS in the all caps manner that you understand AMERICAN to be.

The people who immigrate here have no responsibility to learn the language you speak or practice what you believe are american customs and beliefs.

What are american customs and beliefs? who decides what those are ? you?

Does the United States have a formally recognized language by law? where is that stated? I really dont know here , but if it does exist someone let me know.

The idea that the term american refers to any one specific culture or way of life is absurd , it doesnt exist...

What are you talking about?  This is OUR country.  WE own it   WE decide.  As citizens WE decide who else comes here and who doesn't - when, why, for how long, who stays and who goes.  And we have some rules to follow - mostly the ones we have for ourselves.

We have the right to determine what language business, governent, education and everything else is conducted in.  We have the right to make laws against customs foreigners bring in here that we don't like - or, for instance, do you want your neighbors slaghtering lambs in their kitchens?.

If we want immigrants with certain characteristics, or want to exclude certain immigrants, whatever those may be - age, education level, anything really - that is our right as citizens.   We have been a very welcoming and generous country, maybe a little too welcoming and generous sometimes.

Personally, I've liked just about every immigrant I've met - more than I like other Americans a lot of the time.  But we don't owe anyone anything, certainly not entry to the country or resident or citizen status.

I first heard it on October 10, 1985(2 days after Klinghoffer's killing) from my uncle. The term "too soon" didn't exist then...and actually still doesn't exist in my orbit, really.

Probably shouldn't even use that joke - the 2 shots and a splash - about bin Laden anyway.  It might offend the Muslims.

I've noticed that Noory doesn't read or respond to emails or fastblasts anymore it seems, since he switched to taking text messages on the air instead a couple years back...

Makes sense.  Who is going to email George Noory other than to complain.  A few yars ago I heard him say something to the effect that he'd had it set up so those emails automatically went straight to trash, although I don't remember his exact words.

It always makes me laugh when he talks about getting tens of thousands of emails on whatever topic he's talking about.  Sure George.  If he got 10 positive ones on his stupid topics I'd be surprised.

... But then Art was seeking female companions on the internet apparently within days of Ramona's death on Jan. 5, 2006. And he was apparently already thinking about marrying Airyn and moving to the Philippines within 3-4 weeks of Ramona's death (Art told C2C listeners in late January, 20006 that he was on the verge of a huge life change). And by mid-April 2006 he reported he was already married to Airyn, so who knows when it actually happened. That's not behavior I would call deliberate, responsible or mature, regardless of how much he thinks he loves Airyn. Nor is it financially astute. So maybe there is no pre-nup.

I remember Art saying in there somewhere that there is no divorce in the Phillipines and 'that is just fine with me'

yep, but Noory only replies with a short response like:
"you are just one of the haters"  :P

I've gotten several.  Let's see, the first one was a sincere email pointing out some ways he could improve and his response was I must be one of 6 or 7 people with nothing to do but post about him on line .  I've gotten 'hater', 'pond scum', at least 4 or 5 calling me a 'low life', the final one he told me it was time for me to 'depart'.

It was a lot of fun getting under his skin.  I think he's either blocked my email address or doesn't reply as much anymore - at one point he'd responded to most of mine - if it was really Lazy George and not some intern.  Never got anything back from FastBlasts though.

I don't know if it was mentioned before but Ghost to Ghost is going to have a (likely boring) first hour guest again this year with Snoory hosting. Between that and the dull stories Noory's callers seem to have it'll be a show worth skipping.

At some point George will start claiming to have been visited by his fathers ghost.

The only reason Aunt Shafica hasn't showed up yet is because Georgie hasn't thought of it.

The monthly unemployment rates are calculated from household survey results using a specific definition of 'unemployment' - which is 'unemployed and curently looking'.  The Census Bureau conducts the survey interviews and the Dept of Labor makes estimates using the survey numbers and reports them

http://www.bls.gov/cps/cps_htgm.htm

The rate for a specific month is always revised after a month, and then the following month, as real data come in.  These revisions are often significant to the point of making the original numbers useless.  I'm going to predict that wil be the case this time.

The number to keep an eye on is the total number of employed non-farm workers.  This number is the same as it was when Obama took office.

I think a corrupt campaign that didn't mind calling Romney a felon, a murderer, and a tax cheat wouldn't mind putting out phoney job statistics.

I am voting Romney/Ryan. If Mitt wins, and can't get the job done in 4 years, I am kicking his a$$ to the curb with my vote ...

How do you define 'the job'?

No one can completely fix this mess in four years - it's taken decades to get to where we are.  But they can at least start to turn things around and begin moving in the right direction.  I'd start be encouraging instead of discouraging job creation, and working on the deficit.  When it comes right down to it, about the only thing government can do to creat private sector jobs is to get out of the way.  Obama and the government are in the way.  His attitude and commentary like 'you didn't build that' shows how really clueless and just the wrong person for the job he is.

That's the thing about Obama - he has done absolutely zero to address any of this mess - even when he had the House and a fillibuster poof Senate - in fact he has execerbated it.  Now he's telling us he has a plan to fix things - why hasn't he started it?  Why doesn't the Phoney Media talk about this disconnect instead of focusing on 'fact-checking' and trying to play 'gotcha' with Romney only?

Your post is dead on.  And you didn't even mention the deficit, the national debt, the off-the-books entitlements that aren't even included in the national debt, the debt racked up by the states, cities, counties, fire districts, school districts, water districts, parks districts, all the other oards and agencies, and all the rest.

It's going to take multiple terms and either ruining the currency or reneging on the debt to get clear again.

But yes, it does matter who the President is.  One thing sure - Obama has refuesed to even begun to address any of this.  He - aided by the big government proponents at all government levels - has exacerbated it.  Starting with an additional $6 Trillion in waste just at the Federal level.

I don't quite get what the problem is if the Federal government were to cut or end funding for Public Television.

Maybe there was a good reason for it a few decades ago, an idea to try, but now there are tons of channels out there desperately looking for programming content.  Even if Public TV were to become defunct, the good shows should mostly be able to find new homes on other networks, but what's more likely is PBS would evolve into something similar to what it is now, but that would have to compete for viewers and ad revenue.

I admit I almost never watch any of it myself - it's mostly either really boring and a certain amount of it is just more left-wing indoctrination.  It seems like another institution taken over by the Left, and I resent tax money being used to pay for  it.

What seems odd is that the rare times when there is something I want to watch, more often than not the program is interrupted for 20 minutes at a time for fundraising commercials.  I'll take 2 or 3 minutes at a time for commercials over that anytime.

Unfortunately Noory is hosting Sunday night as well this week and look at what he has planned for that night: :o

Hosted by George Noory.
First Hour: Dating coach and motivational speaker Marla Martenson makes an in-studio appearance to discuss finding that 'special someone.'

She's been on before (I think it was her) and is also a 'Beverly Hills Matchmaker'.

Does that sound to anyone else like George is getting free, um, dates in return for an infomercial?

Is it anti-Arab, or anti-Muslim?  No one is arguing Obama is an Arab.

Sign me up as anti-Muslim too if that means being suspicious until proved otherwise.  The stonings, cutting off each others hands and genitals, beheadings, threats and violence and, oh yeah, the hate and the terrorism.   And Obama doesn't seem to be concerned about any of it.

Make that very suspicious.

And it is a fact that millions did vote for him specifically because he is black.

Here in the SF Bay Area the latest from the 'gay' community is a demand they be allowed to go anywhere and do anything in the nude.  Never mind leaving skid marks everywhere.  Even the SF Board of Supervisors is grossed out.  It's always something around here, where the antics of this group is a running local story.  Yeah, these militant gays are the persecuted innocent victims of those evil R's (who are really gay themselves, if I read you right).  Sheesh.

By the way, would we be talking about Carter being 'responsible' for AIDs had he won that election and been President from 1981-1984?  Of course not.   They would have found a Republican governor or some other official to blame.

Nope. Reagan was the ultimate coward who strayed away from his leftist roots (Screen Actors Guil
d) and was led by greed and GE. It's also sad that the Man has the blood of tens of thousands of AIDS victims in His hands by secretly hiding the CDC reports from the public due to his "Christian" beliefs. John Kerry served proudly, led troops into battle. Anyone standing up to the Republican war machine and stopping that absolutly useless and laughable war is a true American.

Umm, as he stated many times, the Democrat Party left him.  Do you really think many of the Democrats back in those days would be be in the Democrat Party today?

I'm going to say the people infecting each other with AIDs and not being responsibel for thier own health are the ones responsible for all the deaths - you know, the people that refused to allow testing, wouldn't even wear condoms or be honest with each other.  Insisted on keeping the bath houses open.  Pretty sure RR never infected anyone.

And that was a Democrat war machine - ill-conceived by JFK (remember him - the guy that had the South Vietnamese president assassinated?) and very badly carried out by LBJ.  It took a Republican to get us out.  And about John Kerry - not only did he help prolong it by advising the NV and VC to not negotiate (recall the months in Paris haggling over the shape of the negotiating table), but he smeared US soldiers and lied about them 'cutting off ears' and all the rest of what he said.  Served proudly?  Not what the people that knew him there said - which is pretty weird, who else ever speaks poorly of their fellow soldiers?  Nope, JK is a real piece of shit.

I think Noory interrupted his guest last night more than I've ever heard him do before, and in the process managed to completely misunderstand what the main point of the guest's book is. The guest was talking about a 'moody sun', the idea being that the sun's various states, concerning things like sunspots and CMEs, aren't as predictable as previously thought. The whole thing got twisted around in what passes for Simple George's mind into how the sun affects peoples' moods, mainly because he wouldn't let the guest finish a thought...

I think this is why George stopped claiming the '8 hours of daily show prep' for awhile a few years ago.  On just about any given night, it was too easy for any person listening to show that he didn't really do any show prep at all - and then go to a website like this one and post it.

So here we have a book whose title includes 'Sun' and 'Mood'.  George's 'show prep' seems to have been to look at the title, assume it was about how the sun affects people's moods, pull out the same old stack of dog-eared booger-covered cue cards with questions he asks every single guest, and interrupt with his dumb ad-libs.

Time to stop lying about show prep again, George.

... Pitchers' duels, 2-1 games, hit-and-runs, double steals, DPs, plays at the plate, sac flies, caught-stealings, suicide squeezes and even vanilla bunts are so much more exciting than watching some juicer notch another cheap-ass dinger.

It's even worse in the AL where the pitcher doesn't bat - no decision needs to be made on whether to take the pitcher out for a pinch-hitter, no pitchers helping themselves with a double down the line - ever.  No double switches.

The pitchers duel - that is what baseball is.  Whatever it is they are playing now isn't baseball and I don't even watch it anymore - it's the equivelent of doubling the size of the net in hockey or soccer, or making the hoop 5 feet wide in basketball so they can score everytime down field (ice, court).

When it's 13-5 in the top of the fifth, and the game is already 4 hours long - that's so boring and none of it matters.  Even in a 0-0 game everyone knows either one of the teams can score 10 runs anytime so what's going on right now isn't all that important.  1-0, 2-1, 3-1, 3-2 type games every pitch matters, every baserunner - in these 12-3 games, none of it matters.

A century's worth of stats have been thrown out the window.  It sucks and they can keep it.
