I saw that article. Firstly, science always changes. Except, of course global warming and basic biology. And since it was a novel virus, not like a Chichton novel, but meaning new- although it was interesting that masking, distancing, or common-hygiene was not imposed on homeless populations during our lockdowns. And illegals were still allowed full travel privileges, without any testing, quarantines, or jabs. And those, apparently, seemed to have thrived! So there was obviously targeting of certain populations, businesses, and churches. Having said that when one is dealing with a new, novel virus, or bio-weapon, one can expect changes and reassessments. So not, necessarily, a 'plan' but, likely, just 'never let a good crisis go to waste.' And seize the opportunity to shut down small businesses, nail Christians, and generate a lot of money for certain investors and politicians who can trade based on the information they know will be imposed.

I think a certain Brit, who fled, would correct you, and say "Virtutis Fortuna Comes" from a Yorkshire Regiment (though a common saying in many militaries via old saying.)

Personally, I like the commitment of such groups (and there are many historical legends and incidents) of people who burn their own boats when launching an invasion. "All in. No retreat, no surrender" Some vikings and conquistadors did such. I'm guessing in most of those times many of the troops were like "oh shit" and often likely done by maniacal leaders. But, still impressive, committing to an action.

Quote from: malachi.martini on November 06, 2022, 05:54:14 PMLol, he definitely checked out. The big question, at least for his spiritual successors, did he manage to escape THE MATRIX SOUL TRAP?

The accounts themselves are pretty fascinating, tons of overlap across culture. Coercion, guilt tripping by otherworldly beings. You have to wonder if the modern gaslighting of the species has burrowed so deeply that even in times of huge physical trauma, the subconscious is framing what scant coherency it can, in those terms. That, or we are in a prison within a prison, within a prison. Fun stuff!

If anyone's sad about modern horror being dogshit, look no further: https://rumble.com/v1fzrgy-coma-diaries-ep1-stuck-in-hell-loop-for-1-month-and-meets-the-machine-matri.html

Wasn't one of his claims is that our moon was hollow and some kind of artificial device by aliens to trap our souls? I vaguely recall some wild shows with Art regarding this. And 'don't go into the light' because it was a trap to this system....?

But also lots of local rednecks, Cubans (an interesting amount of Joose-Cubans even( and former New Yorkers etc people who flee- from Commie areas in general. And you still have some Indian things going on. And 'investors' from certain countries who like the marching powder and need to park assets or launder stuff. Trump Reportedly 'Furious' at Oz's Flop, Blames Melania and Hannity
I note a weird situation that the Democrats seem to be liking to back candidates with 'health problems,' so conniving handlers, or just wives, can control them. From behind the scenes, so less. Of course, this is not new. Or just Democrats, but seems more there. But there were other cases in Republican circles also. Roosevelt was a cripple and Wilson after his stroke was already, a bit, controlled by "Colonel" House, but afterwards it is alleged that his wife was operating. This is not, necessarily, a bad thing, most people know women really rule the world (I guess excepting homos, and even there on the female side there is the militant/butch type in the relationship.) Trump was seriously compromised, as all in the know, knew by certain 'forces,' though in his case not wives but still. I don't know Penn Law, not the school, but when this guy keels over again, not that I wish health problems on anyone, is the replacement done by Governor, Special Election, a branch of their representatives, or what?

November 08, 2022, 09:56:50 PM
Quote from: Yorkshire pud on November 07, 2022, 11:34:47 PMOkay, I've lived in the States just over six years, through two general elections and a mid term, this will be the second.

The American system is based on money. Are you rich/influential? Yes? Then roll up, we'll get you lobbied. Congress (Especially the Senate)is pretty much a stagnant atrophied edifice that has no incentive to do anything for the people in general. It has been completely out of touch with the demograph of the country, unless you happen to be an octogenarian white millionaire. Just who does Chuck Grassley represent? Land? This is the thing, because each state has two Senators, California or Georgia or Florida or New York State have the same say as Wyoming, which has just over half a million people, fewer than the population of Sacramento. California has nearly 40 Million. Grassley's state Iowa just over 3 million. Yet all three have the same say irrespective of the actual votes cast for any party nationally, even if any piece of legislature doesn't directly effect that state. The big problem is US politicians are not compelled to relinquish their business interests when they take office, they can even game the markets and get no sanctions. Win win. They can (and do!) vote for legislation that will directly benefit them (and the billionaires) personally. Tax breaks for the very rich who could never spend what they already own? Absolutely. Free child care? Free health care at the point of need, bypassing the insurance companies who (and I know this is a shock) are in it for profit not health care. Oh no, that's 'socialism'. Someone explain to me why that isn't perverse.

And there's the other bind, only two parties with (today) diametrically opposing views save for a very few who will compromise, but again in the current climate, unless the Republicans bow to the orange Jesus they're ostracised or worse. Neither party as they stand will represent the population, only their own tribe. It needs at least another one maybe two more parties that drop in the middle.

The average education level of America is low compared with other industrialised countries. Sure, there are some truly brilliant people, but the median nationally isn't high.
And it plays to the advantage of certain politicians, because an uneducated electorate is easy to manipulate, easy to convince. Certain candidates have taken it to a new level and advocated the banning of books in schools, because they're so insecure of their own value it scares them that a kid might read different opinions and arrive at their own rather than that of the bigot dictating what they read. And certain teachers in certain states are leaving, so the self fulfilling prophecy might realise sooner rather than later.

Such as the I think two dozen plus 'props' on the bill for this years election here. They're referendums. Our letterbox has been crammed with the mailing crap.

And if you don't think lying matters; let me remind you about what happened in 2016 in the UK. Boris Johnson, Micheal Gove, Nigel Farage and others pushed the myth that if the UK pulled out of the EU, then fluffy bunnies would skip in the meadows, fluffy clouds would rain liquid gold and Britain would gain respect throughout the world because they were free of the shackles of the EU..

We're in 2022, since then the UK is on it's FORTH PM, the mendacious Johnson long gone and still rich. But what of Brexit? Well, the economy is fucked, you think the inflation in the US is poor, it has a rate that right now the UK would dream of having. And NOT ONE politician that advocated Brexit has even acknowledged that the issues that were predicted by the remainers (and came to pass) have anything to do with Brexit! Delusion isn't even close.

There's a real possibility that the UK will tank it's currency, I don't mean drop to parity with the dollar but really tank. And it could have been avoided, but the liars won. It's what they wanted but they're too cowardly to own it. They essentially forced the deportation of EU citizens who until Brexit had freedom of movement to work and live..Now they've gone, the hospitality industry has no staff to make the beds in hotels, Fruit growers have no-one to help with the harvest. Farmers cannot sell their stock anyway because the paperwork they didn't need in the EU they now do, and so don't have the freedom of transit, miles and miles of trucks at the ports as they wait for custom clearance, supermarket shelves not close to how they were when I left the UK..And it will only get worse. All because of a lie.

Based on money. Like most all systems aren't. I recall there are weird ceremonies and oddball in which The City is honored their. And recall when Browne sold off so much gold? And stupidly let the markets know the plans beforehand? Or why here you get folks come into office as normal people, sometimes, but, if they finally do retire, leave as millionaires due to their 'public service.' At least there, from whence you fled, still has weird situations in which they might not even live in their constituency but have already squandered family fortunes so hold onto a various office for the public perks and sense of tradition.

And likely, considering situation, in Mandarin and seriously censored. So take all the fun stuff out, or at least, track whoever had bought and seal them into a factory- with suicide nets- to make more phones or just die in a sealed up room. But, maybe with the proper editing and subtitles could still be a thing! I will go to some lunches and discuss, damn that traffic on Topanga Canyon, I'll be there in a few. Let's do this. OK, it is complicated. First, best place ever. Imagine a Stuckeys, Loves etc but without truckers, and selling everything. And extremely clean shitters or pissers. Secondly, though a bit weird to have yuugge truckstop-like place without any truckers, who sorta, run our country delivering stuff- at least pre-Biden etc. So a bit, weird. Because if really early one will see trucks delivering stuff. In back, like old days in in decent houses: deliveries to the rear, not a K_Dubb reference, and such. At least a few times I've seen. But, yet, signs. and no diesel and 'no truck signs.' But, some, sell no alcohol fuel and, obviously, most folks here have trucks so picks-up, boats, 4wheelers, etc are welcomed. Great beefjerky choices also. And anything/everything, except a noticible lack of normal other truckstop stuff like CB or sketchy chicks waiting in lots. And a brand! Most important there. Branding. I like some cousin of famous "Them" started that deal when he saw his "Them" cousin already got the mind scam going?

It really is amazing. It was a powerful Firm. And he had so much history and things. I, sorta, joke about two Teddys but they also had amazing personal and political histories but then, at least one, became a drunk who would 'drop' a towel to a maid or engage in drunken behavior in a famous DC restaurant and the other would go 3rd Party and against his initial backers, in a way.

Despite being a British breed they have semblance of some type of German military styling in the normal dog grooming. So the Royals, being German now, and more importantly The City, would approve of one running, if not for our Presidency at least in some important by-election in a constituency in which said dog has never actually resided but due to some tradition and vagaries of real estate ownership, or Royal granting. It could also inspire confidence in international relations. Instead of people wars some form of coursing, dog fighting, or ratting.

(All the above quaestiones rhetoricae)
Our political system, not just elections but especially the Administrative State, has been suspect since certain changes over the many decades. But still, relatively, better than others, despite the changes and pressures they make. Arguably, one could want some more chaotic systems with spot-elections, random changes in government every month it seems, or crazed popular referendums- as some countries, States, or others have. Generally the system, while still somewhat corrupt, it could be for a generally better good? Stability versus massive changes, at least until recently. It could be argued though that idea, especially since the changes and influences, that maintaining, or propping up, a stable system sets itself up for a bigger problem- rather than small faults moving you get the BIG ONE. I don't know.

I don't think it is worth it, although is there a market for such items. Oddly some Blacks collect them. Full or minor size Jockeys, if cast-iron, are worth it. But shipping is excessive, due to weight. Apparently they might guard, light, give clues for those on the railroad, or allow tying off a horse but aren't on Oprah's weight plan scheme. So, best to find in estate sales or etc in your location.

Noory screwed up and shrank the annual new year's eve show too, cutting the caller predictions part to under 2 hours for that too. Art used to do caller predictions for the whole week after Christmas to New Years in comparison and got hundreds of recorded predictions.  Noory gets maybe 10-15 now and they are terrible non-specific stuff that Art would have never allowed. :o

Interestingly New Year's Eve is on a Saturday this year so it may be one of the guest hosts like Connie Willis hosting the New Year's eve prediction show this year!
Noory says he will host Sunday New Year's Day since its his regular first Sunday of the month spot and has on prediction guests like astrologers, etc.

Interesting ex-Goldman Sachs Erin Burnett matriculated at St.Andrews (the one in Delaware not one of so many others) prior to her later career. But what I find funny is Loudon Wainright and the III, of "Dead Skunk" and other fame also went there. Off subject- but it is Bellgab- how these elite schools, which I support because, at least until recently, teach the standard Western Canon, Classics, and such, also end up having so many media, business, and such personalities- but often also conflicted families and drama. Maybe being 'sent away' for early schools is not, always good? Or are they sent away for a family reasons besides a good education? I don't know. It is odd though that a lot of the so-called Leftist or Mainstream sent their own kids to private, religious, or distant schools, not public ones (in the American use of public- which is opposite of the English use of term) that separate dorms by "form and sex." But they seem to advocate the exact opposite, in all ways, in our public schools where sex/gender should be mixed-up and Classics etc not taught. Weird.
