i would like to emphasize something:


if you are finding this thread for the first time and the comments against "fort rock" have led you to believe coastgab is a flame forum, you're mistaken.  please go back to the beginning of this thread, read thoroughly, and you'll undoubtedly conclude that "fort rock" is getting what he had coming to him.  he is an agent of misinformation who appears to suffer from numerous social disorders.

the problem with all of the bittorrent sites is that you get a little of this and a little of that.  it's hard to find a single place where you can acquire a ton of shows at one time.  today i added over 100 new art bell classics to the stream, and i am going to make the entire collection (about 800-900 art bell broadcasts, all normalized and named properly, no repeats) available via bittorrent at some time in the future.  i still need to incorporate EVEN MORE shows into the stream library, and i'll probably take care of that next weekend.  after that's done, keep an eye peeled for "The Definitive Art Bell Collection."

I found out why Art's callers were screened.  They had to be or people would pay the full cost of calling the Philippines.  When he was back in Pahrump there briefly, he was back to his normal SOP.  So cross that one off as a possible political factoid contributing the Final Quit.

i don't know about that... because the calls to the show were placed to a U.S. number.  the audio from those calls was then fed from L.A. through the ISDN line as was everything else, so it shouldn't have mattered if he were in the philippines or cleveland in terms of being able to take calls unscreened.

by the way... if you like mr. show, go watch tim and eric awesome show great job.  it's of the same cloth... well, sort of.  bob odenkirk and david cross appear on tim and eric numerous times as well.

during the final season of lost, i began watching the show for the first time.  i plowed through EVERY episode from season 1 forward until i caught up with the series as its final four episodes aired on broadcast tv.  what a piece of shit that show turned out to be in the end.  there was absolutely NO payoff, and the idiots all trying to decipher the final episode's message made me puke.  i wish i'd just stayed way.


the last time i attempted to give a tv show a chance was the new "V."  i made it about 8 episodes into the show and couldn't continue.  bad acting, bad dialogue, a main character played by an actress from lost who has no ability to convey facial expressions due to excessive botox use, and cliche after cliche... it was just too much to take.  i have no idea what ended up happening to V, and i don't care.


tv is dead to me.  i only have basic cable and haven't watched it in over a year.  the ONLY reason i have it is because it makes my internet connection CHEAPER if i have it.  find the logic in that pricing model and i'll call you a genius.
