Thanks Eve, by the way, I stand corrected. Last night was the "missing episode"
I have to admit it was pretty bad! A supersoldier who had a "battlefield transplant"
of his arm. Yeah, right. Still, I don't care about that reverse speech stuff, either.
See you at CTM.
Hopefully John has learned to keep a little control over the commenters.

Ah-ha.  So that was the missing episode?  Yes, it was far out.  I heard most of it and thought the guy kept pausing to take bong hits and check the story notes.  I did not get around to listening to the reverse speech stuff.  I've long felt that Oates--and Art's GIS people as well--are selling BS.

So there's not many bellgabber Caravaners I guess.  Thought this thread would at least break page 3. Too bad.

(Reposting correctly this time.)  I've been a Caravaner since JBW started CTM.  I'm late here to Bellgab, having joined only in July.

Just thought I'd point out something. That new producer said that he did the Forum, and he seemed pretty pleased about that. He wanted to share. First, a lot of good people go to the Forum, so I wouldn't automatically write someone off on account of it, but I would proceed with caution. Two, if you are not familiar, look up Landmark Education. They operate the Forum.  Using the search terms "landmark education" and cult will yield some interesting results. My own experience is that a coworker years ago had her life completely taken over by Landmark. I went to one of her "graduations" that they hold at the end of The Forum, and I was quite turned off by what I experienced. It turned out that my presence there was not as a supportive friend, it was as a potential new member to be given a very manipulative hard sell to sign up. Other members hammered me to find a weakness that they could exploit. I stood my ground and refused to allow them into my life, and when they eventually realized they couldn't get to me I was treated with sarcasm. I hope the new guy won't be selling listeners on the Forum.

Bwahahahahahhahahaha!  Syrett is going to open lines.  Where does C2C find these people?  What a crash & burn!

Play by play: OMG, I put C2C on for the heck of it, and Syrett's guest Patrick Fox Chouinard is mentally in outer space.  Syrett asked a question, and the guy asked for it to be repeated, fumbled the beginning of an answer, got lost, and asked to go onto the next question.  Then he keeps going silent.  ...  Oh, now he's talking and staying on, but he's scattered.  ...  Oh, no, now he asked Syrett to repeat the question.  This guy sounds like a total stoner who's making it up along the way.  ...  OMG, he just asked to go onto another question again, another topic!  I think I'll leave this one on for laughs.  I wonder if Syrett will hang up on him at the bottom of the hour and go to open lines.  This clown can't formulate any more answers.

I really need to start my own gig so I can be here in real time and not catching up later.  Grrrr...

Sun is him/her?  or it?

Good point caller...

I think that CMEs definitively show the sun to be male.
<CanOfWorms>
On the other hand the sun may identify as female, regardless of the aforementioned.

I will be proud you're wearing one and there will be a v-neck option available, I'll make sure of that. ;)

What about things like stickers?  I occasionally put them on things.  I enjoy many designs I see on t-shirts, but because it is not my style to wear printed ts I don't buy them myself.  (I must be from another planetâ€"don't drink, don't do coffee, don't wear t-shirts, u.s.w.)

Radio and Podcasts / Leo Ashcraft
October 04, 2015, 04:49:29 PM
I'm catching up today by listening to Friday's MITD, and I hear Art saying that Leo Ashcraft is going to Coast to Coast after a couple offers and some troubles with Keith.

What I find interesting is that Leo frequently mispronounces words.  (He sure had some problems with „Tutankhamen" the other day!)  As we all know, Jorch speaks some wacky ESL.  Do y'all suppose the mispronunciations (Leoisms) are why C2C made offers to Leo?  Maybe Premiere & Jorch are developing a new dialect and they wanted some extra help.  Leonoorish?  Daveleoese?

I thought I saw Ed Dames at the county fair last week.  Turned out it was just a pile of §hit from one of the horses.

Jorch is sinking to new lows I hear.  A friend texted me late last Friday and told me that he had a medium on to discuss a man haunted by a demon.   The medium didn't want to say the name of a demon lest it be conjured, but Jorch egged her on.  When she relented and said the name Jorch chastized her.  What an a§§!

Ah, the Martinez, CA school of Internet message boards - act crazy, and ignore the "haters".  Have you considered asking Noory for free glasses?

I effectively have moved away from C2C and no longer hear Jorch, so I'm free of the following, but it always drove me crazy how he would mispronounce Martinez as MART-in-ez instead of mar-TEEN-ez when taking callers from there.

I'm reading about his stalker right now.  I'm intrigued.  I want Hoagie to let his stalker on the show to voice his concerns.  He has some issue with a documentary Hoagie did years ago (UFO Diaries) and he's implying that Hoagie is a NASA shill...or something.

My opinion is that that would be a bad idea.  The way the stalker acts is way out of line with polite society.  He forfeits time on Hoagland's show by being an a§§hole.  Furthermore, if he is stalker material, he must be discouraged, not encouraged.  If he has legitimate concerns, he is free to voice them elsewhere, including here.  I like Quick Karl's suggestion that Hoagland get a .45 and become proficient--although you never know, Hoagland may have already quietly done that and not told us.  A sidearm is good supplemental insurance.

Hope you guys had a fun week with the shows

It was a fun week, and I love how Hoagland has turned the ringing phone into an unintended prop and thrown it right back at the listeners.  "I'm gonna kill that phone!"  Reminds me of about 20 years ago when Bell said he was on the verge of shooting a router or something with his Glock.

Problem is that people keep forgetting that the president doesn't fix anything. Congress has to do it, the president just either allows their decisions to proceed or blocks them. Unfortunately, Congress is useless and stagnant.

Generally agreed, but although I don't find Trump to be a worthy candidate in the sense that we've all been taught to expect a candidate to be, I bet he'd rattle the cage enough that Congress would end up fixing some things or being too rattled to make things worse.  There is no requirement that candidates already be part of the legislative machine, and perhaps it would be better for us if they weren't.  That said, in all liklihood I will vote for the Libertarian candidate on principle.  Also, I've seen so much bullshit in elections on the part of the system *and* on the part of the voters that I truly feel that my vote does not count where and when it matters.  I read the candidate statements and when I have time I check their web sites, and those with the best intentions often get the fewest votes.  The people with the most signs planted on the roadside get far more.  WTF is wrong with voters?  Fucking drones!  Seriously, the only reason I even vote anymore is so that 1) I can hopefully make a difference where the good ol' boys & girls club has not already picked a winner for me and 2) so someday when I die I can die with a clear conscience of having voted for the right person instead of a bullshit candidate, even if I know ahead of time that that person is doomed to lose.

I finally pulled the plug on my C2C membership.  Cancelled!  I wonder at what rate people are fleeing Jorch's mess.  What a year 2015 is turning out to be for me: new degree, new job albeit contract-to-hire, new temporary apartment, Art is back, I've changed broadcast subscriptions, resigned from my old job...  I don't recognise my life, but I'm happy!

So, what's his beef?

Not sure.  I didn't have time to decipher his rambling about Hoagland using a false name, Leggiere having received an anonymous video, some Mars pictures, etc.  Leggiere wasn't available when scheduled, so skip ahead to 0:48:00.

I believe this is the guy:

http://www.examiner.com/article/interview-w-the-mad-martian-hoagland-fired-from-nasa-for-spying-for-the-soviets

I heard an interview of him on Mac Maloney's Military X files and it was hilarious.  He just called him the Mad Martian and from the link above I'm guessing that is indeed the guy.  I'm sorry I missed the show now.

I think you're right.  I found a broadcast posted on youtube that had Gary Leggiere Mad Martian as a guest.  Leggiere did not have it together, and his voice sounded similar to Hoagland's „stalker" as best I could compare the two sources' sound qualities.

Today I went online to hear what Jorch's guests had to say last night, but I had to skip the first one.  I can ignore Jorch's inability to pronounce „physics", but when his supposed PhD plasma physicist guest could not pronounce nuclei or nuclear correctly, I had to jump to the next guest.

Then when I tried to listen to Jorch interview Kevin Randle, Jorch actually said, „Well, and I'm convinced the Condom Report [long pause] was set up as, uh, as a sham."  I played it back several times, and I'm sure he said Condom Report.

I think I'll look back for good shows that I haven't already downloaded then seriously consider killing my Coast Insider subscription.  I just hate to lose clean, easy access to Knapp's interviews.

No love for the Dates from Hell Line? :P

Hahahahhaha!  I had a date from Hell.  It was so bad that it became an amusing social experiment that I let play out to see how deep a hole the guy could dig.  I've thought to write it up and see if some women's magazine would publish it.  I just don't want the guy to see it by happenstance and commit suicide.  There's no way he would not know it was about him.  The funniest part was when the guy got freaked out by a schizophrenic we walked past, and I had to tell my date to remain calm and that I'd protect him.

And how can one take Jorch's broadcast seriously when to this day they use an AOL email address for corporate contact?

„Have you ever wondered how to become a guest on Coast to Coast AM? It's easy.
Just send an e-mail to the Producer stating your name, phone number, the area of
your expertise or the nature of your experience. If it sounds like something worth
talking about on Coast to Coast AM, the producer will call you. It's that easy.
      Write to: CoastProducer@aol.com"

I'm new here, and this may have already been mentioned, but...
You know Jorch Norry sucks when even JC stops calling to insult him.
