When we closed a warehouse we learned for the first time that a long-forgotten subsidiary, Hartwest Productions, Inc., was a MAJOR radio producer and syndicator from 1965-1971.  The "locomotive" was The Joe Pyne Radio Show (we have more than 1,000 1/4" reel-to-reel masters, most 43.5 minutes), which brought along The Jean Shepherd Show (in current distribution for us by Radio Spirits); we have concentrated most of our efforts on the TOP OF THE POPS Radio Show (co-produced with the BBC, with 1,200 live studio recordings and interviews of 185 1964-1967 British rock groups/performers, including The Beatles, The Kinks, The Animals, Herman's Hermits, etc.)), and are only now getting around to cataloging some of the rest of what appears to be more than 3,000 programs.  Just today, we got to 9 43.5 minute tapes of the GIBSON AT NIGHT radio show, with Paul Gibson.  The first show is about the influence of accidents on our lives.  Amazon is creating an audio label for us; we expect our first release to be Norman Vincent Peale's LIVE WITH CONFIDENCE (we have enough 3 minute sermonettes for between 15 and 30 CDs).  Do you think that there is enough interest for us to release our Paul Gibson programs?  (Other choices are our remaining Jean Shepherds, our Curt Gowdy Sports Show, Pediatrics for Parents, The Joan Murray Show (40 interviews of prominent Blacks, in 1965), The Maria Cole Show (pilot for Nat King Cole's wife; 6 interviews of major Black figures), and on and on and on and on.  It is ll good copyright, and we are the copyright owners, and as nearly as I can determine, almost none of it has been heard since the original broadcasts, which ended with Pyne's sudden death in 1971.  Any comments?  Suggestions? Many thanks.  Alex Kogan (you can get an overview of us at www.filmsaroundtheworld.com)
