Haha, oh this almost makes me feel for the guy.  Still I guess it's better than "Sorry I've got to reorganize my cattle incident reports."
Ha!  Which is also better than "I've always thought of you as a friend... to take on the latest cattle mutilation investigation."

If I recall, she also commented how busy she was making virtually non-stop media appearances and updates.
Nothing about how she might have a headache next month?  At least for the night Dave is hoping for?

Dave had better hope it's not at Dave listening parties.

I wasn't happy with the first one. I think this one reads better. Can't wait to see the Blitz!

Talking of "time traveler" and seeing this reminds me of that Basiago dude who claims he was at Gettysburg.

"Andrew D. Basiago, 10, at Gettysburg, PA, on November 19, 1863, after being sent there from 1972 by DARPA's Project Pegasus via a "plasma confinement chamber" in East Hanover, NJ. Andy is the boy standing to the left in the foreground of the image. He is wearing the large shoes that were given to him by Gettysburg cobbler John Burns after he walked into Gettysburg barefoot and shivering in the brisk autumn air after arriving from the future. Andy says that this image was taken shortly after President Lincoln arrived on the dais to deliver the Gettysburg Address."

I don't know how to describe it- Dave is like one of those annoying co workers: Loud, interrupts, repeats same stories over and over, always peddling fund raisers or catalogues of his latest second income endeavour like kitchen gadgets or household cleaners. Ugh- Although some of his behaviour could make him seem a bit more sinister.
Dave could really up his game by selling Amway or Tupperware.

Why would anyone eat waffles when pancakes are available?
Pancakes.  Why, oh why, did it have to be pancakes.  I haven't eaten pancakes regularly since...sigh...the Sambo's chain bit the dust.  Best damn pancakes ever.  Light, yet delicately crispy around the edges, silver dollar sized...oh, my.  I'm going to cry myself to sleep tonight and it won't be because of UFO Phil.

...I hope Art can have Linda Howe on for an hour once a week like he used to on his old weekend Dreamland show every week back in the 90s.
I'd prefer that rather than a show once a month devoted to LMH.  I miss the interchange between her and Art.  With Noory, she's just a preferable monologue.

Thanks.  Interesting reply from LMH.

Ya I caught that last night. He was like "are you sure there arn't any conflicts"? and "Linda we can't wait to have you back next month". It was a clear refrence to Arts return and I think he was genuinly trying to prod her becouse he really dosn't no if she is goinga jump ship
What was Linda's response?

19.  What would you say is the central message of your book? [which I did not read]
20.  It's such an amazeen time for <insert whatever the topic is>, isn't it?
21.  Have you always been interested in <insert whatever guest's field of research is>?
All of Dave's stock questions could be compiled into "Dave's An Idiot's Guide to for Dave."

GREAT LAST NAME FOR A GUY WHO NEEDS TO BE WORKING HERE, INSTEAD OF RADIO!
Yes, working at McD's, making the new week-old turkey on a stale, whole wheat bun sandwich, with special suck sauce.  The McDave.

Thanks for this link!  I'm surrounded by pine trees and live oaks, like right up next to and surrounding my house.  But they will not keep me from seeing this!  I'm going to take a drive to an open space and just sit and watch.  I'll be bringing an Art Bell show to listen to, perhaps a ghost to ghost or even the Mothman interview with John Keel.  It will be scary and exhilarating all at the same time.  Soon we'll be listening to live shows!!  July 20 is almost here folks!
That's the way to do it!  You won't have any trouble finding the shining duo, as long as the sky is clear.  Don't forget to bring the robot. :)

Thanks RoseGirl for sharing this.  We live in an amazing Universe full of wonders.  It's hard to imagine how Galileo felt.  My house is surrounded by trees and the city lights, but I am still going to try and see the Jupiter and Venus conjunction.  It will be fabulous!
I'm in an area with tall trees and lights, too, but could easily see Jupiter and Venus.  They're just far enough above the tree line.  Venus was stunning last night.

From http://www.skyandtelescope.com/observing/this-weeks-sky-at-a-glance-june-26-july-4/

"Friday, June 26
Venus and Jupiter, shining in the west as twilight fades, are now only 2.2° apart! That's about the width of your thumb held at arm's length. They point to fainter Regulus, twinkling to their upper left.
Watch the two planets move closer together each evening until their appulse (closest approach) on Tuesday the 30th. That evening they'll be just 1/3° apart, seven times closer than they appear now!
In reality, they're not close together at all. Venus is 51 million miles from Earth this evening; Jupiter is eleven times farther at 561 million miles."

But compared to Noory, she's relatively good.   ::)  Ok, that was awful.  Anyway I miss you guys on this ridiculous thread.  Feeling myself getting pulled back in.  Like a spaceship circling a black hole.
The Jedi squirrel is needed to battle the dark force of Dave.  His death star of suckage continues to stumble around the night.

Yes, isn't she just magnificent? I have never seen her so bright either. You'll never see another planetary conjunction with your own naked eyes again. Everyone should get out there and have a look. Just spectacular.
Yes, it's magnificent.  I hope Art catches it.

Jupiter is very close to Venus tonight.  A very clear sky in my area.  Venus is as bright as I've ever seen.

*Sigh* a squirrel gets over a fear of owls and it's earthshaking. I transubstantiate from a dolphin into Jesus and everyone yawns. Damned humans, put fur on it and y'all go crazy for it.
So that's what you are.  I thought you were Col. Sanders in his younger days.  When he ran "Jess's Fine Cuisine."

You can't fool us.  You're really a dolphin.  Or a porpoise.

I'm hoping it'll be MV & Aldous reading the entire GNS thread aloud.
If Aldous reads his posts the way he writes them, I'd tune in.
