Interesting. I don't think I've heard it before. A lot of diverse talent coming together in one song. I don't know why I can't think of it but who had the top 40 hit with it?

On my way to a Los Lobos show tonight in Auburn, CA which is broadcasting live on kvmr.org. Also attending their show tomorrow at the Fillmore.

The Hollies.  They heard this and had to cover it. I didn't know about it til I read something about it 10 years ago and I tracked it down and have it on a cd now.

Would your head explode if there was a double-bill of Los Lobos and Rush?
Have fun....

Have a great time, aldous.  They are a great band.  Of course I remember them for this but they have a lot of great original material.

Nice clip, MD.  Carl gave some rousing versions of Blue Suede Shoes and Your True Love.  The audience seemed to love it when Carl went into his guitar solos.

Yeah, I love his energy, the way he kinda hops and dances while he's playing. I was trying to figure out his axe, which he seems to dwarf. He's probably quite tall. Anyway, turns out it is a Les Paul like I thought but the pickups were throwing me off. They're P90s and not the Humbuckers we're used to today. It gave him a pluckier, twangier kinda sound than the usual crunch of the Humbucker.
