Peter Marshall: "If a man falls off a boat, you yell 'Man overboard!'  What do you yell if a woman falls off a boat?"
Paul Lynde:  "Full speed ahead!"

All those lies... he's sinning.

Quote from: ForgottenRealms on July 23, 2022, 07:22:44 PMIf you and Curtis do a spec sheet or two, Can you guys talk about non-Windows and Non-Apple OS systems? IE, the pros and cons? Thank you for your time.

For sure.

Quote from: Dr. MD MD on July 23, 2022, 07:13:19 PMAfter years of dising them I think it would be interesting to hear how you became an Apple convert. Also, I'd like to hear a segment about non-standard computer formats. For example many gaming systems can now also be used as a desktop mini: The Steamdeck, The Atari VCS, etc.
Actually, I sold my M1 Mac Mini, I've stopped using my iPhone 13 Pro Max (which I'd like to sell), and I'd like to sell my Apple Watch Series 7 which is worthless without an iPhone.  For now, I'm using my OnePlus 8T.

I didn't like the M1 Mac Mini because it has a screen flickering issue that has plagued countless M1 Mini owners and has gotten ZERO response from Apple.  So much for that world-class customer service that Apple fans cite in justifying Apple's pricing.  I had the issue with three different brand new 4K monitors.  Also, MacOS is, in my opinion, an inferior operating system when compared to modern Windows.

The iPhone 13 Pro Max... I'm sick of how difficult it is to type on or manipulate text AFTER it's been typed.  I'm tired of the poor filesystem management (which actually is nearly nonexistent) and the near impossibility of moving data between phone and PC.  I'm tired of how terrible it is at hotspot sharing.  I'm fed up with it being the only device I own that doesn't use USB-C.  I'm sick of how badly it handles embedded videos in web browsers, regardless of what browser you use.  I could go on and on.  Really, the iPhone is for people with no technical chops who just want a Fisher Price experience that suits their texting and social media habits with an occasional phone call sprinkled in.  I'm not that demographic.

I'm waiting for the Google Pixel 7 and Pixel Watch to be released this Fall.  That's gonna be a winning combo.  And I think it'll be the first wearable on Android that isn't garbage.  Yeah, the Samsung watches are ok, but you have to be using a Samsung phone if you want access to the watch's most interesting features, which I'm not gonna do.

And back to the Pixel phones... I would have jumped the Apple ship when the Pixel 6 launched but it seemed like a bad idea since it was a gen-1 product with Google's new Tensor SOC.  I really get nervous buying gen-1 anything.  Better to wait.

I would like to know why George Senda continues lying about his medical conditions.  Thank you.

Quote from: ForgottenRealms on July 23, 2022, 06:53:54 PM@Liberace! When are you going to start your podcast again?? Are you and the mudking going to do a tech related podcast again in the future??
I'm sad to report that I don't really have any plans to do a regular show, primarily because I don't like the commitment.  Maybe the occasional one-off just to say "hey" but that would be about it.  In fact, I've sold off most of my audio equipment.  However, if Curtis becomes available for Spec Sheet recordings again, I'd be willing to adjust my calendar.

Links aren't a problem.  Just images.

I'm probably not the man to ask, since I stay away from all pharmaceuticals except poppers.

Quote from: Walks_At_Night on July 23, 2022, 06:07:00 AMFor any that are interested, the Gunner's battle with Dietrich still continues. It is a war of attrition which the Gunner is winning. Dietrich was kicked off of Facebook and many of his followers have turned against him - including some of his most staunch loyalists. Gunner has appeared on several streams presenting his research and spreading awareness and does a nice job of it.
I believe he was on a GabCast episode doing same.

Quote from: Dr. MD MD on July 22, 2022, 09:19:12 PMThe one thing I remember about his show was him trying to force chefist into a conversation about racism and he called him out on it live, on air. It was glorious and well deserved.
Is there a clip anywhere?

Perhaps it was and I'm imagining having read it rather than having heard it.

Quote from: Richard Groyper on July 22, 2022, 08:59:37 PMi wish Dave kept his black daughter a secret. sigh

I remember a twitter exchange where he used his step daughter's skin color to demonstrate his authority on matters of race.  I can't even begin to recall what the actual subject of the argument was or who it was with.  I do remember slightly puking into the back of my throat when I read it, though.  There's a certain kind of white person who, after getting ONE black person in their contact list, suddenly lectures as to how everyone should speak and think.  They give a black guy a ride home from work and suddenly they're Malcom X.

I would be a wreck if I had that level of obligation in life.  And hell, if I recall correctly, a good chunk of those kids aren't even his are they?

Quote from: paladin1991 on July 22, 2022, 08:34:05 PMHe could have led off with a bit of expository for the audience and segued into an interpreptive dance to coax the spirits out.

If I were running things, I would have instructed him to become the first ghost investigator to shit himself on television as a result of fear.  That would have gotten people talking.

Quote from: ItsOver on July 22, 2022, 05:06:56 PMYou could drill for oil up there. And mine for shoe polish and toupee adhesive.

That sounds like a valuable, multifaceted drill site (if you own the mineral rights).  I don't know why it's not being utilized.  My uncle once owned a shoe polish mine.  Good living.

Quote from: Corona Kitty on July 22, 2022, 08:27:47 PMThat is when he faked being pushed by a ghost, haha.

When I saw that ghost push, I just felt sorry for him.  I was actually personally embarrassed for him.  He didn't have to do that.  I realize he had to come up with something to jump start a new production, but that wasn't it.
