Hotnews flash!  I just heard that Midnight in the Desert is in negotiation with Mike Bara to be the new permanent host.
Bara is listed as the new Saturday night host.
They have a host for Mon-Thu, a different one for Fridays, Bara on Saturdays, and another one for Sundays.
Kinda like the c2cam model...

I think the first hour guest on right now with Noory is the same guy who in the past got Heather to channel the spirit of Art Bell...

Tonight Noory is doing yet another of his stupid Secret Door specials, where he plays a guessing game with several guests trying to disguise their voice... :P

Heather read a message from "Jackstar"

Another replay again tonight, RCH still recovering reportedly...

Saturday night they reported Richard was still feeling ill so couldn't host this past weekend.
So his team filled in as hosts on Sat and they played a rerun on Sunday.

I've said it before regarding him and music, like everything else he is a complete blank slate, there's a real Chaunce the Gardener or Forrest Gump aspect to Noory. It's like he got where he is completely by accident, he's woefully inept but some people project an intelligence onto him that's just not there.

I doubt he has purchased 10 record albums/cassettes/CD's in his entire life. This guy was a teenager in the 1960's, a revolutionary period in music, incredible music in different styles, and he knows nothing about any of it, as far as I can tell by his retelling of his youth there were like 3 episodes of The Twilight Zone he seemed to enjoy and nothing else. He had no idea who ZZ Top was until he found out one of them was a Coast listener. He had to be the squarest teenager in America, a momma's boy to the extreme. He's never once talked about anything borderline interesting in his younger years - never smoked weed, no drinking stories, no hijinks in school -  I don't know anybody that bland. .

I only recall Noory remembering in the 50's he watched TV with his dad shows like "Science Fiction Theater"

I seriously doubt sNoory has anything to do with selecting bumper music.  It’s probably done by an intern.  Or an algorithm.
The only music Noory picks is ones like Frank Sinatra.

Connie has Ralph on the air, Ralph from the show Happy Days!  His real name Don Most.  They'll be right back, because Ralph believes in UFOs.  His appearance is pretty special.  She saw him on LinkedIn one day, didn't recognize him right away, but she liked his kind eyes and befriended him online.
Connie also revealed last night that when she was young she wanted to be called "The Conz" after Fonzie...

Twenty years ago we had a very similar thing happen.  It was our fax machine that somehow kept auto redialing, and we'd hearing the dialing over the landline while talking.
Yep I remember that happening some years back live on c2cam.
Another case I think I recall was a guest's home alarm system that kept trying to auto dial out once a minute or so, just like was happening on Sunday night.

Cornelius called in last night and wanted Noory to have his mom on for longer for her to reveal what he was like when he was younger.
But Noory revealed that was a pre-recorded talk with mom on the air since its too late live for her in Detroit, past 1am...

Noory used the term "holy heck" ;)

Why is Heather talking to Tuvok and Ghost Art

Did Heather watch the youtube 25th anniversary reunion of the Star Trek Voyager cast earlier today? Janeway and Tuvok were there with all the others...

I hate when George reads that vomit-inducing dreck every Memorial Day. Did not make it to the radio in time to turn it off.
and regular caller Cornelius told Noory he wanted to hear all the theme songs for the armed forces too, but Noory told him thats his bit only for Veteran's Day...  8)

Can anyone please provide the exact quote, and/or times and dates where Art said it?  Or was it the Jolly Roger or the Skull and Cross Bones?
I found this old pic of Art Bell holding a pirate flag in a  webcam image dated as Feb 19, 1999 that might be related:
